I went in to buy a giftcard to use when i got home from my busy day. I got home went to redeem it…read moreand it gave me an error saying the card wasn't activated. i looked at my receipt and it says the card was activated. i walk back to the circle k (now 4 hours after i bought it) tell this old guy at the counter and show him the receipt, the giftcard, and tell him the issue. he then tells me i need to give him ANOTHER $35 to activate the card. i told him and pointed to the receipt saying i did that already when i ORIGINALLY CAME IN TO BUY THE CARD. he then tells me he cant do anything and needs the money in order to activate the card THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR. he had the biggest attitude and told me it wasnt an issue for him and if i wanted anything to be done to come back later when the manager was here. DONT TRY BUYING GIFTCARDS HERE YOU WILL POTENTIALLY BE SCAMMED!

There is usually a deal on candy bars running, and there are always 4-5-6 dollar meal deals. I got a little gas in my car and a $6 meal that included the angus,bacon,cheddar and jack burger, fries, and a polar pop. Generally speaking I hold gas station hot food to a fairly low standard. The Tornadoes were often pretty good, but the sandwiches anywhere were kind of meh. This was a GOOD burger! Of course the patty had that preserved taste to it, but that's just what to expect. The kicker was the hit from the cheddar jack cheese. That was SO GOOD! Everyone that works there is SO helpful and very nice. The only notes I have that are a bit more critical are that the donuts are a bit too sweet, and they've stopped carrying macadamia cookies. I'm dying for this place to expand, but they may be locked in. Keep an eye on the price tags. For a while, some candy bars were 3.79, but the shelf tag read 3.29. This place still gets 5 stars. A lot of businesses just look like crap because they are so busy. This place is as busy as any, and they always keep it looking good.

This one white female worker will only speak to whites and not blacks and will not sit there to make sure they pay for their stuff. Now I have been seeing this going on more than once and she is not the only one that is being racist.

I also liked that the overhead covering extended all the way to the convenience store so that it offered some protection from the rain if needed. It also dispensed my receipt without sending me into see the clerk. Outside, they sell ice. I didn't stop into the convenience store since I wasn't needing anything other than gas. However, I pulled into this one since it was one of the closest to where I pulled onto the highway that merged into Morgan St. Fortunately, there is a center turn lane to assist in crossing the highway. I pulled into one of the open bays. The station was clean and the pumps were in good working condition. The bays were covered by a roof, but the roof doesn't extend to the convenience store/cashier building. Fortunately, it wasn't raining during my visit. The station had a kerosene pump near the building, but it was out of service. Outside the station, they also had an ice machine and ricks of wood. Overall, this was a good station, but nothing special. I was able to cross back into traffic by taking advantage of the nearby stoplights a couple blocks down each way. Review #3566
