    Hojicha latte & donut latte

Charming small cafe on a nice street in Markham. Good quality and nice spot. My partner did work on his laptop and I read a book. We really enjoyed our drinks (although we felt they could've been warmer). The lady was very helpful in explaining the drink choices.

Found this gem after checking other reviews! Not only do they serve excellent coffee, but they also showcase beautiful jewelry and pottery from local businesses, giving the place a charming, community-focused vibe. The menu is small, but they prioritize quality over quantity, offering great flavor and a range of alternative milk options like oat and soy. We ordered a cold Americano and a flat white, and I loved that they recommended we take a sip to taste before leaving, offering to adjust the shot strength if needed--a thoughtful touch that really stood out. I can see why other reviewers would call out the wait and feel like that's a negative point, but I wouldn't expect a place like this to pump out orders like chain cafes. When we arrived, the café was fairly quiet with only two other people inside, but by the time we left, all three tables were taken, and a small line had started to form. It's clearly a local favorite! If you're looking for great coffee, cozy vibes, and a shop that supports local artisans, this spot is worth checking out. Perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful break in a small-town atmosphere.

Super cute little cafe! We really enjoyed our drinks. We got the latte donut and the butterfly latte (non-caffeinated). For the donut latte they pour it in front of you, allow you to try it and they add some more. Which I found pretty cool. The staff working was very kind, helped us decide what to get by recommending and patiently explaining. The cafe is a bit small with probably around 10 seats. We came on a Friday at around 2:30 and lucky was able to get a seat. Their drinks are a bit pricey though, the donut latte was around $10 and the butterfly latte was around $7. I believe they are also pet friendly. Would definitely come again, loved the vibes!

Tons of side street parking in a very very quiet neighborhood. This little cafe does not have a massive sign - watch for the drawing of a lady on the front window and you'll get the cafe! Super tiny place - they have a few tables but it's honestly not worth the cramp. The menu is very limited and extremely expensive. The cafe is known for its doughnut latte, meaning the foam rises up and looks like a doughnut. No actual doughnut included. Doughnut latte is a regular latte with lots of foam. Beans taste good. The matcha doughnut latte has a mixed in sweetness and definitely is the better of the two. The purple comes from the secondary milk foam added at the end. That's the best part of the drink :) It was enjoyable.

BPM Cafe is such a cute neighbourhood cafe. I love the set up. Though it is small but it has a lot of character. The owner barista is really passionate with her drinks and want to share her love of coffee with others. My Flat White was well crafted. The whole milk was a nice pairing with the nutty coffee beans, giving my drink a sweet and nice after taste. The cafe is small but cozy. I like that there is no wi-fi access, as it let patrons enjoy their coffee or tea. (Not to come here to Wfh or as a study place) Definitely drop by when you are in the neighbourhood!

Visited BPM Cafe because of its fame on RED (XHS, the Chinese Social Media), ordered a Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. The Matcha flavour is strong due to its foam after first sip, the bottom part is watery and did not taste good. The Matcha latte comes with the matcha foam in glass cup and latte in plastic cup, you will have to pour the matcha foam yourself, i guess people enjoy taking photos of the pouring process which make the shop gained some social exposure comparatively. Long queue for ordering, very small cafe shop, interior design is cute tho.

We got there super early on a Friday morning thinking service would be quicker since the owner hired some new baristas, but...... I was wrong. I waited even longer this time and there were 4 people infront of me....a whole 40 mins wait. Drinks were just ok this round, but the wait definitely got me.

A cute local cafe you have to visit if you're in the area BPM offers a selection of drinks including coffees, lattes, cold drinks and more! The interior is small, but cozy, and you'd love the vibes inside. There are only a few seats available, however on weekdays, there should be empty spots if you'd like to come to find a spot to chat. I went for the Mocha Latte in small, and it was flavourful as it had a hint of chocolate. Not too sweet, and enjoyable if you're worried. I opted for oat milk and it definitively made it more delicious! Now that I know there's a cute cafe around, I'm definitely giving them a visit more often IG: Ayenomz

Cute little cafe in a residential neighborhood that is worth checking out! There aren't a lot of cafes in this area so if you're looking for a new place, don't hesistate to drive over here and get a coffee. The store is quite small with limited (but cosy) seating. You probably can have around 4-5 seats inside and a few seats outside if you want to enjoy the sun. They offer coffee from local roasters in Ontario (e.g., Detour). The unique thing about this cafe is that you can choose the bean/roast that you'd like to try. We had about 4-5 choices that day. We got a latte, which was only one shot, and it cost around $7. I must say that it's a little pricey for a cup and it was hard to taste the coffee since the milk vs espresso ratio was off balance. The latte was more milk than espresso, but maybe I just craved some more espresso that day? Your drink comes with a tiny butter biscuit - it was really tasty!

Finally came and got to try their drink here. Came by twice and they were closed. I tried the cafe latte and it was wonderful. My friend picked the ice latte, and was able to choose her own preferred coffee bean that was available there, which was nice. I wish they opened earlier during the day. Would love to get my coffee there after my morning walk and before work started . The barrister was very nice and explained a lot about coffee and seem knowledgeable . She was able to recommend certain coffee beans from clients presence if taste.

It's a cute little cafe in a quiet neighborhood. Owner was really friendly. The wait was very long, but I kinda expected it after seeing the reviews. The latte turned out so so. It wasn't worth the 45mins + wait. It lacked the aroma, maybe because I didn't pick the right beans.

Got a cafe latte with oat milk, it was yummy! Cute cozy vibes, perfect if you'd like to get some work done while having a nice coffee. Awesome customer service and the owner was very sweet. Would definitely visit again!

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)
