If we had one person come up to us during the wedding to tell us that Pete was the best DJ they had ever experienced, it must have been all 200 of our guests. Seriously. We have had at least 80% of our guests ask for the playlists from our reception. He had my partner's grandparents dropping ass on the dance floor for hours. On that note, the dance floor was not empty for even a second of the night, even before our first dance. The floor was so packed, people were dancing at their tables, outside the tent, under the stars, and apparently even in the bathrooms! My legs still hurt (in the best way possible)! From the beginning, Pete was extremely communicative, kind, fun, and just an absolute dream to work with. We have a very broad taste in music, and he spent hours helping us hone in on our vision for the flow throughout the day (a lot more difficult than it sounds). We created some playlists for the vibe, and he pulled a lot of music straight from our selections, as well as put in a ton of his own superb choices. We had a very specific vision for our ceremony, which he executed perfectly; folks are still reaching out to us to talk about it! Our venue also intends to put him and BPM Events on their preferred vendors list (between you and I, our venue said that Pete is the best DJ to ever have performed there). Throughout the day when our timeline got a little wonky, Pete was there to roll with the punches, and helped us get back on track, as well as make some last-minute adjustments that wouldn't have been possible without him as the amazing MC. Best Decision Ever! The most frequent piece of feedback that we have been receiving from our guests is that our DJ was lit. Sam Turner made our wedding so memorable, and he was such a joy to work with. He was also flexible as our wedding had to be postponed once due to the pandemic. When my now-wife and I began the wedding planning process, we had three priorities: a venue that felt like us, a good food selection, and most importantly, a good DJ. We were very detail oriented for our wedding, but we knew that none of the other details would matter if our DJ didn't set the mood. Sam was simply the best DJ we could have imagined. I am an audiophile and classically trained musician, so truly excellent sound quality, balance for the venue, etc. were critically important. My fiancé loves and has great taste in pop, hip hop, and dance music. From our first phone call to sporadic checkins and to the ultimate final product, Sam was the ultimate professional. And I am definitely not prone to hyperbole. Some examples: - Enjoyed chatting with him about gear, logistics, set-ups, etc. He had it totally covered, but I am totally annoying, and he was totally not annoyed. - We discussed specific genres, artists, and tracks across multiple genres with him and he had great suggestions and depth of knowledge. We, like him, wanted to avoid many super overtly overdone songs, and he was encyclopedic in his musical vocabulary. - Initial plan was for 2 set-ups with outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Weather did not agree, but Sam was ready to go with no problems at all. - Due to the venue change and grandfather traffic-jams in the aisle, our processional pieces were not long enough. As I knew the track was coming toward its end, I nervously looked over to Sam, who simply smiled and knowingly nodded, as the track seamlessly continued for the additional minutes needed. I still don't know if he had cut/spliced this in advance or on the fly, but it was clutch. (Some obviously opt to have live musicians vamp to account for this, but we had specific string recordings we wanted. Besides, if you're reading this, you're already really looking for a DJ, anyhow.) - Sam did a great job of reading the crowd and playing a good variety of music to keep our very diverse party going. His "on mic" time was professional, fun, articulate, and really enhanced our special day. - Sam was "low maintenance," i.e. after an initial conversation, follow-up for details closer to the day, we knew we could count on him to show up, do a great job, and make things seamless. He was all that and more! - Numerous guests (again with really different musical backgrounds, including several professional musicians) made it a point to let us know that Sam CRUSHED it. We agree!
