I've come here before for inspections, and they've always treated me with respect and clarity. This time, they passed my inspection but also took photos of my tires and explained what would likely come up next year. They printed three tire options without me asking and talked me through each one. What really stood out is that they recommended the lowest price option -- not because it was cheap, but because it made sense for my driving habits and the fact that my car has only reached about 40,000 miles in seven years. They didn't assume anything about me, didn't pressure me, and didn't try to upsell. There's a reason I'm willing to make an appointment and come back the next day, even though other inspection places are closer. Oak Hollow treats people right, and they've earned my loyalty.

I figured I'd give them another shot. I took my aunt's car for an inspection today (I'm actually sitting in the waiting room typing this). I had a 1 o'clock appointment. It's now 2:30 and the car hadn't been brought into the shop yet. I finally went to the desk to cancel the service and magically they were able to take it right back. Why bother having appointments at all if you aren't going to even remotely abide by them? I will be taking all my cars elsewhere from now on. It's a shame whatever happened to this once good business.

I was very specific with request for a luxury car (that didn't smell like smoke) comparable to our car needing repair for rental but we were greeted with a small RAV4? Sized car. I refused the vehicle and then started looking for a car myself. It takes a few days to line up a luxury rental so work had to be delayed. I called State Farm & told them we needed to find a suitable vehicle and they were accommodating with increasing coverage if necessary. We found a suitable model in Asheboro and Enterprise brought it to the local office but it smelled like freshly smoked marijuana. So no go with that vehicle. I was ambushed when I asked to meet with the owner Brian Owens. He couldn't maintain eye contact when we met so I suspected he was upset. He was totally focused on our '24 Genesis not being a luxury vehicle..saying BMW, AUDI, Mercedes, Lexus were not in the same class. And it was a "Hyundai". Same price ranges and similar performance but somehow not the same class. Insulting. The new owner Brian Owens is insulting and doesn't take responsibility for what his business represents as services provided. His phone script (that he says he wrote) states that they work with your insurance company to set up car rentals to make it easy for customers to use their service. He did not handle the situation professionally. I even asked that we discuss in an office or away from the front desk but he insisted on being loud and confrontational in front of his front desk staff. Not a nice guy. After our encounter I called the front desk and apologized for our discussion that had to happen in front of them. I doubt this is the culture previous owner Larry Walker wants as a legacy and I feel badly for the staff who work in Brian's toxicity.

His soothing and calm voice smoothed us right out. He was kind, thoughtful, honest and encouraging. Now this trailer was a homemade job and couldn't be fitted with just any old rim and being Memorial Day, it was tricky. Tyrell researched it out and called us right back. That 15 minutes seemed like forever, but trust me dear reader, it was quick. Tyrell found what we needed. Came and picked up the rim, took it for a new tire and came back and helped Tim put it back on. He stayed in touch about his progress along the way. When you're stranded and feeling helpless, those contacts made a big difference on our stress level. We felt quite honored to have had been helped by this sweet and effective gentleman and the price was more than reasonable. If you ever have the misfortune to be stuck on the road in his area, you'll be in good hands if you call Terrell to be your hero. He was certainly ours and we thank him.

They removed me from the list and when I came back in an hour they had me wait an additional 2.5 hours. Not very good communication of expectation there. More recently I dropped off two wheels to get new tires put on. They told me the tires would be delivered at 2:00/3:00 and they would put them on and call me back. I called around 4:45 just to check in as I was busy working and they said they were done. When I asked why they didn't call and let me know there was no answer. I needed these tires to do work of my own. In the two experiences I've had there the customer service and care seems extremely lacking. They may do good service but I won't be the one finding out.
