I went with a friend, and we had vastly different experiences. I was shown $200 bras and told they were basically the only ones there that would fit me. I was given other bras to try on that didn't feel like they fit but felt pressured to buy one. I ended up with a "cheaper" bra at $80 that was 3 cup sizes larger than my usual size. I figured that maybe I just wasn't wearing the right sized bra, since that's what we're all taught. At first wearing, I have marks where the wire dug into my skin. I feel stupid for buying the damned thing after I voiced my concerns that it would do exactly this, but I figured the "expert knows best." Don't make the same mistake. I asked for a long line bra but was told that they didn't have "many of those" and was not given the option of any to try on. After leaving, my friend said she was given multiple ones to try. You can't browse the selection yourself, so I didn't know I was being lied to. Very upset with the entire experience. read more

I am a hard to fit, plus size woman and usually have a horrible experience shopping for bras. Bra Genie was an amazing experience from start to finish. My mother had an amazing experience and wanted to go with me to get fitted. I went in as a walk in, as I was only in BR from Boston, Ma for a short time. The hostess greeted us kindly and accommodated us graciously since we didn't have an appointment. On to the fitting. My bra fitter Sarah was amazing. She began explaining the store, the process for fitting and how she would bring in a selection of bras. She measured, and brought in one bra to check sizing, and she was spot on. The first try on bra was your average bra with medium coverage, but the material felt amazing. Sarah then explained how to put the bra on and how to fit the cups to your chest. And asked how I felt in the bra. She went shopping for me and brought me an amazing selection of bras from super full coverage to minimal coverage. It was about 8 bras. ( she even shopped the sale rack) As I tried them on I was able to eliminate and keep right away. One thing I really enjoyed was that she removed unwanted bras quickly so I couldn't contemplate them. After settling on 3 bras. (All different cuts and coverages), she even suggested the matching panties to one of the bras. At checkout I got a 10$off for being referred, and a free tote bag. One thing I will say, is the price point might be a little high for some, however the fabrics of these bras and the shopping experience and the attention of my fitter, Sarah, was well worth the money spent. Came here for undergarments for my wedding dress. I am a very modest person so getting properly fitting was a bit disarming for me. However, all the ladies (especially my fitter - Emily) made it a comfortable experience and allowed me to keep my modesty. I got a bustier and some shaping shorts that will keep me sucked in and slim looking. They keep track of your measurements and will even create a wish list for you! I had a bra fitting today and it was a positive experience. I've never been measured for a bra before. It turns out that I was wearing the wrong size! Megan helped me during the fitting and she was kind and knowledgeable about bras. I didn't buy anything today but Megan entered my bra size in their computer system in case I come back to the store. I first visited this store at the other location in I believe Mandeville. It's definitely geared to women with bigger breasts. But, I came in with a problem today (and I have small breasts). The sides of my bra always hang out from my tanks etx. The employees were very helpful in giving me what I wanted. Bra with a dip, push up, extenders, ability to go into racer back and halter blah blah blah...they are a little pricy, but I guess they are worth it. They also carry swimsuits. The employees are super helpful and very friendly. I'm pretty shy and they made me feel comfortable when helping me try on etx. Go check them out! read more

A friend told me about this place knowing I have large breast and always looking for the perfect bra. So I am greeted by a hostess I guess we'll call her, took my info then began telling me and showing me how many bras they have in the store. She told me she would get a flitter for me and for me to take my time the fitter will see to your needs. The fitter took me to a dressing room took two measurements, ask me what kind of bra I wanted. She came back with 4 bras. She stood behind me helping hook the bras as I tried them on, this was a big help, made the process go faster. I didn't care for the ones she brought so she went get more. She came back with 6 bras and said, " try these I'll be back later." And later it was. I had tried on all the bras, and started working a sweat in that little room. It sure would have gone quicker and smoother had she been there to help and see how the bras were fitting me. Don't you think a bra fitter would have been concerned for me and needed to see how the bras were fitting? So, I will not recommend this store for fittings. read more
