I have been asked to not return to a couple of groomers because his attitude. I've taken him to Dapper Dog for about 2 to 3 years now and he actually enjoys getting groomed now. He always looks great when he comes out too. Having said that, I know Dapper Dog is not the cheapest groomer in town, but the fact that they handle my basket case of a mini Schnauzer without complaint, it's worth every penny.

I was told i could get all 3 my lil dogs cut, shampoo, nails, anal gland for 63 or 67 dollars cant remember exact but i was 30 min late to my apt and they said they had alot dogs to do so i only left one and he had bad matted hair , i shouldve not assumed hours was same and made sure but i didnt. They have always called me when they was done w my dog and being i had called them twice on the morning i dropped my dog off i figured they would do just that. Well they say they tried call me 5 times but being they never got an updated phone number on my account and no1 thought to look on the caller id at the number i called from twice that morning. So that being said when i tried calling a lil before 4 and no one answered i was in panic mode and when arriving at 4olclock i found a note on the door stating that they closed at 230 that day and my dog was already nestled in for bed and i could pick him up in morning at 730 am . I was frantic. I sat in the parking lot for 2 hours trying to find the owners number out online. I messaged on facebook and finally got a number to call her on , so after telling her i would pretty much do anything if i could have my dog back she called me bk to tell me she found a worker that lived out of town and would meet me at a certian time and said she prolly would appreciate a cash tip for her troubles. When arriving to get my dog i was charged i do believe 130.00 . I was so glad and relieved to have my dog back i gave her my every single dollar i think i gave the gal maybe 10 to 12 xtra for the trouble and left. When i asked why so much she said bc he was matted so badly. I said nothing more bc at that point i wanted nothing more then to have my dog back and i litterally gave them my every last dollar. I will say they do a great job but i feel the whole situation i had wrong in my part and i feel they did as well. Hopefully we both learned something from this , i know i did. I will say they do a good job but was it worth all that..... ill let u decide i know i wont ever go back there.

Upon picking up her dog they charged her 50.oo extra to check out how many teeth the dog had. My mom protested the charge with the lady at the desk but she would not take the amount off, had they told my mom uo front that there would be a charge she would have not had it done. I call the office later but lady gave me the run around. So I asked to talk to someone she gave me Dr Nathan Kunze name and said that he would call me. That never happened.

We live in Lexington and take our two big dogs to Camp when we visit family in Owensboro. I have also driven 5.5 hours round trip just to drop the dogs off at Camp, when we are flying out of Lex or going elsewhere. It's worth it every time. We pick up two happy, well fed, well loved dogs every-time. It hurts my feelings sometimes how excited my dogs are when they realize they are getting dropped at Camp Canine. We feed them, bathe them, love them but Camp Canine is still their favorite? Wild. This place is special.

The staff is amazing with dogs and treats all of them like they are their own. The dogs are all having such a great time there. They have plenty of play areas where they get to hang out with each other. My dog gets so excited when he gets to go. I honestly have to convince him to come home with me when I get him. When he comes back he is so worn out from playing and having a good time. I feel bad I don't take him there more.
