To sum it up: - The technical amenities and equipment was exceptional - The experience with the first emergency care was overall positive. Definitely could be faster, but considering how crippled I was, there was no where to rush - once I was placed to the room, I was pleased and surprised by the care I was given by the nurses night shift. They were so amazing! Thank you for making the stay in the hospital so pleasant for me! - waiting time for the surgery was frustrating, however the result was great and the surgeon was super experienced and nice person. - I left the hospital next day after I faked that I have no pain and did my best to perform some tricks with the crutches - what was absolutely terrible was the food. I assume they provide such a shi**y food to make you get out from the hospital soon. Which is an ok strategy I guess. However, I was surprised how unhealthy the food provided in the hospital can be. - last think to mention - pills and pain killers. I couldn't understand the amount of pain killers served to everyone. Either they got some kickback from the Tylenol distributor or they just wan't to drug you so you don't feel pain and get out from the Hospital soon. I took less than half of them but still could easily consider myself a crackhead knowing the amount of Acetaminophen I got into my system... Overall I am very thankful for the care and help. Really shocked to realize how some patients act and behave when the nurses are trying to help them. Shame on you grumpy complainers and hypochondriacs (of all ages).

Lots of vital signs taking. have not seen a single doctor, only nurses. no water fountains , nothing much for food besides the very expensive cafeteria 5min walk away. toilets are dirty. No doctors was available overnight, wait times on the website is laughable at best. Too bad staff and management doesn't have to come in as a regular patient with no special needs. Well he decided to gossip about me to the nurses at emerg and since they were grouped right outside my room with the door open I could here them exclaim "Oh my God she's a SMOKER?!" And they all treated me like shit after, refusing to make eye contact, being rough when touching me and giving a bad attitude when talking to me. One of them almost got vomit on them because he refused to hand me a puke bowl when I asked he said "For what?!" As if I was asking for no reason. Heart failure can also come with really bad nausea just FYI. This is 2025 and people in North America are literally doing the nazi salute and goose stepping over human rights but IM THE VILLAIN because I smoke sometimes? What about people who smoke everyday, every year?! How are they going to be treated? I find it absolutely disgusting that Rockyview staff treat people differently based on their personal opinions. Well they decided a filthy smoker doesn't deserve respect so they threw out my green sleeve from foothills. That information is now lost thanks to the judgemental douchebags at emerg. I wish this was the end of my rant but this is Rockyview so ofc the bullshit continues, they transferred me to unit 71 where one of the receptionists who has never met me or even seen what I look like decided to have a personal Vendetta against me, she constantly paged my hospital bed for staff "Alex to the front desk please. Alex to the front desk." EXCUSE ME MISS BUT ALEX IS NOT IN MY BED and it's hard to sleep with a speaker blaring right in your face so I tried telling HCA and nurses that she keeps paging my bed but no one believed me because it's never happened before so the nurses resorted to gaslighting me "maybe your just hearing things." And "maybe it's coming from somewhere else." Sweetie, it's a speaker that is right in front of my face and it vibrates when someone talks through it. I tried telling them I can hear her page my roommates bed before she pages mine and it only happens when she's on shift, no other receptionists were paging my bed. Finally one of the nurses gave me the benefit of a doubt and taped a pad over the speaker and silence was bliss. But not for long though because why not put someone with heart failure in the same room as a lunatic, cutting up her diaper first thing in the morning and then screaming as loud as possible "NOOOO GO AWAY! SHUT UP! GIVE ME MY KNIFE BACK! I WAS WORKING ON THAT FOR TWO HOURS!" or spending her days angrily commanding me to turn the sun off and yelling louder when I obviously couldn't. She had to make every day and night miserable for everyone, especially the staff, I felt bad some of the nurses in 71 were really nice but got zero respect from her. Speaking of which one didn't take me seriously when I asked for a sponge bath, I know it's not a pleasant thing to do but I wouldn't be asking if I was able to shower, but she made me shower and guess what happened? Couldn't see, felt sick, vomitted at some point and passed out. I came to in the bottom of the shower, naked ofc and this nurse looked at me with disgust and audibly said "ugh!" Like ok I know I'm not pretty to look at but can you keep your bullshit to yourself I literally have heart failure and the warmth and steam made me collapse. I really hope my heart doesn't give out and I get sent back to this hospital. Foothills or Peter Lougheed please, I don't appreciate being at the mercy of such judgmental opinionated staff.

I called in to make an appointment for a consult and his patient coordinator, Shawna, is nothing but pleasant. She was able go schedule me in two weeks following my phone call. He is located in the same office as Dr Perron on 4th St SW in the same complex as Shoppers Drug Mart. Parking is a bit confusing and difficult as I wasn't able to enter the parkade. The door was closed and didn't open when I drove up to it. I had to resort to street parking. At least I could use my "Text to ParkPlus" account for that. (It could be a real issue if you're in for a longer appointment, though for something like that you'd most likely be getting a ride since you'd be under general anesthesia.) When you walk into the office you meet with Shawna in her office to the left of reception. Dr Perron's staff works up front. Shown a gave me medical questionaire papers to fill out. After I was done I probably waited an extra 15-20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before I got to meet Dr Frank. He was very pleasant and told me what he would do for my procedure. It was a quick 3 minute consult since my procedure was very minor anyway. Once I was done Shawna called me back into her office. I paid the $80 consult fee (which is subtracted from the cost of the procedure) and booked for the procedure date. The next available date in about 6 weeks' time. Dr Frank is relatively new to the plastic surgery scene so booking in with him isn't a half a year wait yet thankfully. My surgery has been scheduled and I will be updating my experience with that. The pricing is fairly reasonable considering he is a plastic surgeon. I can't wait to be done with it!

He feels very comfortable handling your feet and putting your socks on you and tying the laces. In my case, this was very much appreciated. After sending me for X-rays, an ultrasound and examining my bare foot, he diagnosed and made a plan. He treated me right there in the office (I fainted) and told me to come back in two weeks.
