We had to lay our sweet girl to rest due to aggressive bone cancer. Dr Annie & Mike were such a comfort to us during this difficult time. Two very amazing & professional humans! They explained every step to us and helped us through the process. My one year old pup died under their care. They waited too long to perform potential life saving procedures, resulting in my pup suffering terribly for five days and ultimately dying because of it. The delay of several days made recovery an impossibility. To add insult to injury, I was still required to pay the remaining hundreds of dollars (after insurance) for treatment that did nothing to solve the actual problem. Bradford Park was able to get us in for a serious emergency during the holidays when no other vet would see us, and I called almost every vet in the area. Although they were just as busy as everyone else, they made room for us when no one else would, and it literally saved the life of my cat, Figaro, who was experiencing a urinary blockage with bladder stones. The service was excellent and the whole staff was very caring and supportive. They even helped us out quite a lot with the substantial cost of everything required, which was really a huge deal for us since we are in a very rough spot financially. Fourth of July weekend, my dog came in the house with an unknown puncture wound. She was acting skittish and peeing in the house everywhere after the incident. I couldn't find any clinics taking new patients and everyone was closed through Monday. I called the Bradford Park clinic on Tuesday and we got her in on Wednesday. The wait wasn't too bad, but our appointment was at 3 and we weren't in until about 3:15. The assistant made sure to ask lots of questions and get as much information as she could before bringing in Dr. Pearson. When Dr. Pearson came in, she sat on the floor with Piper, talked to her and petted her before she checked the wound. (She made her so comfortable that my dog actually tried to follow her out of the room) She double checked all the information with us and diagnosed the wound as a non poisonous snake bite. She gave us a price estimate before she did anything so I would know how much I was paying, and what I was paying for. She allowed us to decline or accept any of the charges before doing them. She took Piper back to tend to the wound and get blood work. She told us it would take 30 minutes to an hour, and she was done very quickly. She sent us home with pain and anti inflammatory meds to give Piper for a few days. Although a bit pricey, they definitely did great. The next day we could already tell Piper was feeling better. She was playing again and immediately stopped peeing in the house. I will definitely be recommending this clinic to my friends with pets. read more

At first they seem very friendly and know what they're doing, but after two very bad experiences with the staff. I am looking for another vet. First, on Wednesday I called needing medicine. I was told they would call me back, they did not. On Friday, I called again stating that I only had one dose left, I was told she would check into it and call me back. I NEVER got a call back. Monday I called again and was told it was ready for pick up on Friday. Smh Next, I went Monday to get the meds. That's when I got charged double for the second time. I had to make two trips to deal with their mistake. On two different occasions they charged me for two ounces of medicine $154 when I only received one ounce. (The first time, months ago, they fixed it and gave me the amount that I paid for, This time they didn't.) This time they told me maybe someone could help me next week and they were not able to do anything. That's when I gave the meds back said I don't want to argue about it and I don't want anymore excuses I want my money back. Then, in an attempt to give me a refund they ran my credit card 4 times and told me she couldn't give me a receipt. I was not offered or given a receipt. When I said I wasn't leaving without something in writing stating that I was not going to be charged, the " tech" got pissy with me. The "tech" scolded me for yelling when I never raised my voice, but I was clearly upset, I had to wait for days, I had to make two trips to the clinic, I didn't get what I was there for and all I was getting was excuses that nobody could do anything, I was told again, maybe next week someone could help me. Finally, I called to speak to the manager Richard Brinkley on Thursday, he is in the office but he's not available and he to does not return my phone call. read more

My dog Sandy has been a patient for two or three years now and I trust the completely with the care of my elderly dog. Both the Vets and Vet Techs are friendly, patient, and give one the impression they actually enjoy working with animals. They take the time to explain any findings or they freely offer any recommendations that could benefit your pet. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD - VERY DISAPPOINTED IN DR. ENDERSON AT BRADFORD PARK. Our cat has been a patient of Dr. Enderson since November 2019. On December 15th, 2022 our cat didn't have an appetite and gagged after drinking water. We thought this could be an issue with his laryngitis again, something Dr. Enderson helped him with for the past two years with Prednisolone and bi-yearly exams. We called Bradford Park and they said they didn't have an appointment for atleast another two weeks, offered Dr. Chilla, but since he had a long history with Dr.Enderson we only felt comfortable with him being the doctor. He said he could squeeze him in between surgeries if we drop him off. (BIG MISTAKE - If I could turn back time, I wouldn't be leaving my cat there not only all day, but he also asked to keep him overnight so we could run tests early in the morning, however after looking the records it shows not even any medication was administrated??). The next day, I get a phone call saying basically I need to come in and tell him good bye. The bloodwork didn't look terrible, my cat wasn't in life or death condition when I brought him in, but when I came in less than 48hr later he was completely yellow/jaundice, unresponsive, and then gasp for air, threw up yellow liquid and died without any help of a vet. The Vet Tech, Lydia, made a comment that she doesn't know what he aspirated because they only administrated anti-nausea medication...which raises two concerns for me: 1. why wasn't that medication listed in his records, and 2. Why wasn't any antibiotics or pain killers administrated?? When asking Dr. Enderson what happened he said he has no idea, literally not even a clue. I asked for a biopsy. After waiting over month of not hearing anything, I went into the clinic in February asked for a copy of the autopsy and found out it was documented since January 3rd!! It's been sitting at their office for over a month and noone bothered to call me. Even now nearly two weeks later after picking up the biopsy report on my own, and the receptionst telling me he would call me within the next week (since he was wanting clarification from the pathologist) I'm waiting for hear back and nothing, which makes me VERY skeptical. I won't be bringing any of my pets to Bradford Park Vet and unless your interested in a teeth cleaning I'd advise you the same, it seems like that's the only thing they are capable of is pushing their teeth cleaning. I still have nightmares thinking about how my cat has died, I dropped him off hoping he will get better, only to find that they locked him in a cage, for two days, with no food, water, or medication. So now the last he knew of us is how we deserted him when he needed us the most. I ended up paying $1,200+ to have my cat dying without any help and to live with this guilty conscious. read more

Since we moved to this area and even before we were looking for a vet for our Malinois. He got a little curious with another dog while he was eating and got bit. Took him there and we felt badd because he peed in the lobby but they were understanding. The staff is amazing and Dr. Pearson is an amazing veterinarian who took care of him the best she could before he passed and the office staff knew who was coming in when he was banging around so we were already checked in lol. He went under emergency surgery in the skillful hands of Dr. Shelley. It was a long shot that he would pull through because of the severity of situation, but Dr. Shelley worked a miracle with our boy. All the technicians and the staff were extremely helpful, kind, and positive. Dr. Wiest worked with us throughout the whole process with the utmost professionalism, honesty, and care. My dog Pippa sadly to say had to be put to sleep last fall. It broke my heart. She was a perfect Cocker Spaniel. She loved children and was good with other dogs. She developed large bumps around her collar area so I used a stomach harness instead. This didn't help. My sister told me about Apoquel this only helped with her scratching, she was bathed with oatmeal shampoo and got only the best heart and flea medications. She was on the best heart guard and flea medication. She was going to Animal Care Center, very expensive, but close to where I live. They wanted over twice as much to put her to sleep. I wondered why their parking lot was always empty, I think it was caused by their outrageous prices. I took her to her former veterinarian who charged me considerably less for the exact same procedure. He also told me to take as much time as I needed to say goodbye. I give five stars to All Creatures Pet Hospital. And 0 to Animal Care Center. read more

Soooo.... this is the 2nd time I'm writing a shitty review about Bradford Park. I took down my first review because everybody raved about how good this place was so I decided to get a 2nd opinion and take my dog there. Less than a week later my dog was dead. To be fair, it was not Bradford Park's fault that Beau died. However, they failed to diagnose stage III liver cancer, prolonged my dog's misery, and charged me over $500. It all started when another clueless vet told me that my dog had an idiotic immune disease and several people in my circle all recommended BP. I scheduled the appointment and asked my husband to take the dog to the vet because I was not able to attend due to work commitments. I got Beau's entire medical history and wrote down his complaints and symptoms for Dr. Keen (the vet I was scheduled with). The first thing Dr Keen said: Thank God it's not cancer! Actually, bitch, it was. She then diagnosed my dog with Ehrlichiosis, pumped him up with drugs and charged us $500. Oh, and she didn't bother reading Beau's medical history or his symptoms because she missed a large lesion above Beau's right elbow. I complained to the office manager (a complete and utter asshole and idiot) and after a lengthy back and forth with him got an appointment with Dr. Groh. Dr. Groh reaffirmed Dr. Keen's diagnosis and stated several times that what my dog had was entirely curable. 48 hours later, my dog stopped eating and couldn't even hold up his head. 24 hours after that, he was dead. I took Beau to a specialty vet in St. Louis, who told me after about 15 mis that she could not help me and that I should take my dog to the emergency. At the emergency vet, Beau was diagnosed with cancer after being there for 30 minutes. When I reached out to BP and explained the situation to them, I was blown off by Jason, the office and manager and Dr. Zifferman. Both of them refused to acknowledge that they failed to properly diagnose my dog and charged me for unnecessary services. In fact, Dr. Zifferman told me that neither Mercy not Cox were able to help him with his health problems so misdiagnosis for a vet was not such a big deal. Are you fucking kidding me? What a rotten, greedy, arrogant and incompetent place! Please do not take your animal to this vet clinic. They take your money and do not care about your animal or you. At all. read more

Bradford Park is compassionate, caring, kind, and competent. I've never had a bad experience here with my cats. I have been using these folks for many years. They have assisted me with both routine and bizarre medical mysteries. Their diagnostic skills are remarkable. I've used almost all the vets but have a warm spot for Dr. Enderson. After my vet diagnosed my dog with a broken elbow joint I was referred to Bradford Park to correct the elbow. After several days and several phone calls to them, including one from my vet, I still have yet to receive a return phone call, much less an appointment. Since I couldn't stand to see my dog hobbling around on a broken leg any longer, I was forced to find another clinic for my dog. Two words come to mind when reviewing this place - unorganized and indifferent. Dr. Shelley may be a good surgeon but his staff is so inept I never got to see him. If you call the clinic and get a receptionist named Lindsey, hang up or ask for someone else. She has no idea what's going on and has no qualms about lying to you to keep from actually having to do her job. read more

I have always taken my pets to grant avenue pet hospital which is a more small town feel with great pricing & always trying to save customers $, my vet over at grant Ave is who referred me to the Bradford vetinary hospital for a itching dog study as my dog never stops scratching & for starts the office/waiting area is amazingly pet friendly. My dog felt very comfortable!!! Free to sort of roam as the place is huge compared to the other pet hospitals (biggest I've seen until now being the one on s Campbell- big white building). theybalso seem very advanced as far as technology & bone replacements, surgerys (minimally invasive) Etc... It's worth giving a call, if something doesn't suite you at Bradford I HIGHLY recommend grant ave pet hospital especially for those on a budget!! read more

I was less than pleased with the service I received at Bradford Park Vet Hospital. I arrived to my appointment on time and was told to sit in the waiting area with my cat. After sitting there for 45 minutes after my appointment time and with 3 people who arrived there after me already taking their pets in to their appintments, I approached the reception desk again. I told them how long I had been sitting there. The receptionist then told me that my vet had been called in to an emergency and she would check on how much longer it would be before they could get me in. I sat back down and she continued with her work and never checked on this or got back to me with an answer. So I continued sitting there waiting. After longer than a full hour after my scheduled time, they finally called me back and I was able to see my vet. I am disappointed that this vet clinic has at least 6 vets and they weren't able to squeeze me in elsewhere, or at the very least, let me know that my vet was running behind. Also, the treatment they gave for my cat ended up not working and he was still having symptoms. I called in to ask about this and was told they would have my vet call me to discuss this further. Several days later, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I don't know much about the quality of these veterinarians. But I do know that they treat their customers very poorly. read more

I took my dog and saw Dr. Goodman. My dog had been treated all summer for liver disease in Columbia. When I tried to tell the Dr. About his recent history, she stopped me. She only wanted to hear what was going on at that moment, which I felt was directly tied to his liver problems. She gave me some medicine for him, gave him fluids and charged me 200.00. I left feeling that she was just trying to wrap up her day and really didn't care about my dog or his outcome. read more

My dog had ACL surgery July 2013. The surgery was a success and staff helpful and friendly. During the follow-up visit I was told by the doctor was that within a year surgery might be needed on the OTHER leg! I was sent home with only a few sentences of rehab instruction for my dog. An RN for 22 years, this approach was red flag for me. ACL rehab is a lengthy process for humans. Why would it be that different for a dog? At home I researched the internet in depth and found a Post Surgical Home Rehabilitation Guide "Cruciate Extracapsular Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair." This also referred to as ACL by many. A well known Connecticut veterinarian realized there is lack of quality and quantity of post orthopedic surgery information provided to pet owners. His mission is to develop a new standard of care across the veterinary industry related to educating pet owners about the importance of post surgical rehabilitation. The rehab booklet is a 28 page comprehensive step by step program with videos, in depth instructions and weekly email reminders and hints anyone can follow! It takes time and commitment but is essential to getting your pet back to a true normal and avoid a second surgery. My beloved dog is doing great and her leg muscle strength is again equal bilaterally. Daily exercise is essential and if temperatures are too hot or cold, she walks on the treadmill. We were referred to Bradford Park by our local veterinarian for an ultrasound for our Lab. After reading the reviews, I was very hesitant. I had an overall impression that this would be a "snooty" clinic with overpriced services. When I called, long hold times did not ease my concerns. I called around, but after 3 of the first 5 contacts referred us back to Bradford Park, I made the appointment. Maverick needed the testing and we needed to deal with what might be an uncomfortable experience. I am glad to report that our experience was the polar opposite of what I feared. We found the clinic welcoming and efficient. Dr. Enderson could not have been more caring with Maverick, nor more compassionate with us when the news was not good. I am sure the experience can vary greatly depending on the Dr, but we left extremely thankful that we chose Bradford Park. They quickly made sense of Maverick's symptoms and test results and provided us with our options. Though we left in tears, we had the answers we had been looking for, and were impressed with how they were presented. If we lived closer, they would be our primary veterinary clinic for all of our pets. Oh, and the charges were less than the estimates I was given on the phone.
