They were unable to provide this for 2 1/2 weeks. They have a problem with the pharmacy delivering medications I would rate the nursing staff and CNA staff a 3 stars. there were a few nursing staff I want to give a 5 stars to! Todd, Sabrina,Dana, CNA Coco and Stacy. room cleaner also Pat! you made my stay there for 10 weeks tolerable. I stayed for the PT and OT department primarially.

Arbor Landing's Horizons Memory Care unit is NOT for every memory care patient. It is ONLY for…read moreyour loved one or parent IF they can still walk, talk and feed themselves, which they do not tell you when you sign a contract and move in. They do not have two person assist and at least 70% of dementia patients lose their motor skills during late stage and at that point, Arbor Landing will give you a 30 day notice to move your parent, which is what they did to my mother. If they tell you that your parent can 'age in place' and live out the rest of their life there, it's not true. My mother was unable to walk so they left her in her bed, which she fell out of twice and bruised her face, and told me that it was against their policy for me to get her out of the bed myself to put her in a wheelchair to go outside for fresh air. I had to move her to a nursing home after they asked her to leave and she died two weeks later from the stress of changing her environment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My mother sustained a fall at Kempton went to a skilled…read morenursing facility to receive treatment and recuperation - five days before she was scheduled to return I as my mothers representative received a two sentence verbal eviction notice from the Kempton nursing director- "your mother is barred from reentry to the Kempton". My request for a more information as to the nature of the involuntary discharge and a hearing and appeal was all turned down with summary statement by nursing director that this is an internal affair we will not discuss further. This all runs totally against federal statue " Nursing Reform Act of 1987" with mandated conditions for medical reason evictions: (1) written notice. (2) 30 days in advance, (3) specifically documented stating new medical condition precluding return, (4) documentation of condition generated by a doctor ( not a nurse), (5) eviction notice must come with avenues of appeal affordable to resident, (6) new underlying condition must be registered with state authorities. None of these conditions were complied with and no one help finds new home or offered assistance by Kempton essentially leaving her out in the street. Long term for seniors ombudsman has ruled residents have the right to return to their residence following a medical stay barring their return particularly in an undocumented manner is not permissible. I advise any one with a love one consider this possible outcome for your loved one and avoid this facility
