Dr Greenbaum is truly elite. A world-class surgeon PLUS a caring, thoughtful bedside manner. (And a super cool guy too!) I have the "blessing" of bad knees - combination of genetics and wear and tear (basketball, mountain biking, golf, college mosh pits). This all resulted in meniscus tears and some arthritis that is slightly more advanced than my age of 45. I had another, well-known physician perform knee surgery about 7 years ago with mixed results. Since then, Dr Greenbaum has performed surgery on both knees. Each surgery involved trimming/repairing the meniscus and then injecting stem cells. I am 9 days out from my most recent surgery. I had ZERO pain and required ZERO meds - not even a Tylenol! I could walk (but see paragraph below) as soon as I woke up from surgery. My knee has almost no swelling. Friends, family and coworkers are amazed by the ease of the procedure, my mobility and how good knee looks. (Two tiny incisions.) My advice is to follow Dr Greenbaum's post-surgery instructions to a tee: - leaving the surgery center, I used crutches to get back into the house. -for the first 3 days, I did NOTHING except R.I.C.E. He just wanted the knee to have time to rest and calm down. - by day 4, I was starting PT and home exercises but at a very measured pace. Just getting the joint moving, keeping an eye on swelling, etc. - even at day 9, I'm continuing to ice and elevate and doing PT, but not rushing things. Dr Greenbaum's office is conveniently located and the billing arrangement with the surgery center was really smooth (bundled everything into one charge.) His staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. In closing, I'm so grateful for the care that Dr Greenbaum has provided. Two weeks ago, I was limping so badly that finishing a round of golf (with a cart) was difficult. Now, I'll likely be back to full activity within 6-10 weeks. Thanks Doc! read more

My husband already had an established relationship with another orthopedic Dr. at Newport Orthopedic. No more given our unacceptable experience there. Here's what happened: Unfortunately, he completely tore his rotator cuff. Getting through with a "factory" model is frustrating and time consuming. Once we got through, they told him they couldn't see him for 2 weeks! He was in such pain! My husband is a doctor, too, so he messaged the Dr. privately and got no response. Just before his appointment, they called and said the had to cancel and reschedule his appointment! So I did a a Yelp search for a surgeon who hopefully wasn't in a large group and we are so thankful to have found Dr. Greenbaum. You call and speak to a person right away. They got him in within a few days. His office and staff are just wonderful. Dr. Greenbaum is not very social, but he very matter of fact and really explained everything in great detail, which made us feel very confident. My husband has had his surgery under the expertise of Dr. Greenbaum and the physical therapist (also located in Dr. Greenbaum's office), said that he is ahead of the curve. I had 2 visits. The doctor saw little on the x-rays for my knee. I had an injury. A few months after my last visit I called because I was still in pain. I asked the person who answered the phone if she could check with the doctor if I was a candidate for a shot. She said ",Sure , I will ask and call you right back. That was 2 months ago. I have since found another doctor who did X-rays . I received a shot and was referred to physical therapy. The care quality at Dr. Greenbaum was sorely lacking. Dr. Greenbaum came highly recommended by many athletes that I know who mountain bike and motorcross, snowboard. I tore my entire right shoulder snowboarding last Feb 2019 and had a total rotator cuff repair. He did an amazing job. After surgery I was able to sleep flat just only after 14 days. If you've ever had shoulder surgery most people can only sleep sitting upright due to severe pain laying flat. I'm now 1 year out. Full range of motion, full flexibility and no pain and have all my strength back and more. Plus I started weightlifting during my physical therapy and kept it up. He did the shoulder surgery on 4 of my friends and they had the same excellent experience. Over 1.5 years ago I also had Dr. Greenbaum do stem cell on my knees from years of injuries due to gymnastics and running. I had to stop hiking for over 9 years since I have no cartilage in my kneecaps. I gave stem cell surgery a try and now I'm hiking again. I did 10 miles Bridge to Nowhere twice and hike to the Hollywood sign twice without pain on the downhill or uphill. I worry and think the worst when my kid says they have lingering pain and know a doctor visit is necessary. Then Dr Greenbaum examines my daughter (gymnast) and with the quickest exam has already pinpointed the exact problem. He does continue to exam more but what a fast diagnosis. This has happened 3X already. The man knows his stuff. Her issues really seem strange...like shoulder ache from running? knee pain from uneven leg muscles? sore calves from shin splints? but they were accurate. A few trips to PT and we've almost forgotten about it. Dr Greenbaum also has a wonderful bedside manner, has learned to explain this in layman's terms and answers any questions we may have. Dr. Greenbaum performed my ACL reconstruction/Meniscus surgery in May and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Greenbaum is an exceptional orthopedic physician. On my first visit, he spent 40 minutes with me! That is so rare as my normal knee and shoulder orthopedic doctors spend 7-9 minutes, as I have timed it. I saw Dr. Greenbalm to discuss PRP injections (platelet-rich-plasma) in both my knee and shoulder. Since I have a horizontal tear in my meniscus (knee) and multiple rotator cuff tears (shoulder), Dr. Greenbaum decided I was an excellent candidate. During our thorough first visit, Dr. Greenbaum took copious notes and reviewed previous x-rays and MRIs; I have never had a doctor take notes like that before, he really cares. I've been to several doctors regarding my knee issues and the response was always the same, " you need replacement surgery". Not one suggested any alternatives to surgery and at my age I didn't want to replace my knees and then have to do it again in the future when I was even older and more at risk for complications. I was very nervous for my surgery but he gave me the feeling that I would be in competent hands. He removed three screws in my bone from 20 years ago. It was some work to get them out but he did it, I got them as a souvenir Scar does now look even nicer then it was. He also cleaned up my knee and we did stem cell injections in both knees. Back in December of 2021. I took a slip in the shower. Didn't think anything of it of course just shook it off and let it be. I scheduled an appointment with my previous Dr and got an Mri and found out I had a tear in my meniscus. I asked my Dr ok we're do we go from here he says we can't do Surgery your too young. Mind you I'm 41. He says all we do is cortisone shots. I said no I don't want that. I want to fix the problem not delay it. He said that's all we can do sorry. So I did what any other person would do put on a CVS knee brace and went back to work. Here we are august of 2022 and now my knee is hurting a lot. I knew if I went to my previous Dr nothing was gonna get done. So I went on Yelp and did my own research. I came across Dr Bradley Greenbaum. I called and scheduled an appointment. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with smiles. The reception area is very clean and you feel welcomed. I didn't even wait 10 minutes before tDr Greenbaum called me in. Just like all the previous reviews on here he actually listens to you. I tolld him about my meniscus tear and he asks ok what do you want to do? I said I want to fix it asap. He says ok let's submit it to your insurance and schedule a surgery date. I said "wow just like that no ifs no butts" . Ok kool. Surgery date is scheduled and my insurance denies it. Not medically necessary. Great back to square one. The only life saver if. my Dr calls them and shows them the mri scan and explains to them why I need to get this surgery done asap. I'm like ok back to the CVS brace lol. A few days later Anne the receptionist from Dr Greenbaum called me and I thought to tell me about the denial. She says no Dr Greenbaum got it approved and here is your surgery date. I was in shock. Who does that? That's unheard of. I have never heard of a Dr who goes the extra mile for their patients. Forever Blessed to have found you and very Grateful no words to describe how awesome this Dr really is. Surgery went very good. Was a little nervous at first because this was my first surgery ever. Went home and followed Dr GreenBaum instructions. I had to use the crutches for the first and only day. A few days later I changed my bandages and noticed that's all it was 2 little incisions on my knee. I went back the following week for a follow up to remove my sutures on my knee. He showed my 2 scans of before and after on my knee. Huge difference in a very good way. He said everything came out good. Just do your Physical Therapy. Saw Dr. Greenbaum today regarding significant knee pain. I brought my MRI and X-ray results for his review and recommendations. I found Dr. Greenbaum to be articulate, incredibly knowledgeable, and very candid. Unfortunately, the news was not good. After a lifetime of long distance running and road cycling, my knee cartridge was not in good shape. Dr. Greenbaum cut to the chase and gave me the necessary news on an appropriate treatment. I could not recommend a doctor any more than Dr. Greenbaum. He is an expert sports medicine physician and I would strongly recommend him for all your orthopedic needs. Dr. Greenbaum is an outstanding orthopedic specialist and surgeon. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and highly competent. I'd been living with constant knee pain and decreased mobility for several years, pain that was unabated even after surgery and follow-up care by another doctor. Dr. Greenbaum evaluated my situation with great care and suggested three potential courses of action (unlike the other guy, who suggested only surgery). Dr. Greenbaum performed arthroscopic surgery that treated all the things that were wrong with my knee, not just the one problem treated by the other guy. His write-up of the surgery was impressively thorough--the kind of report you'd read in a medical journal. With subsequent physical therapy, my knee feels better than it has in years. Dr. Greenbaum truly takes the time to listen to his patients. During my initial visit he was extremely thorough and detailed in explaining the results of my MRI images and reports. Lisa and Alicia are very friendly and personable. I have to say this is a rare experience when it comes to visiting Doctors offices these days. I just recently decided to cancel my surgery with another doctor due to the bureaucratic nightmare of trying to get medical staff to call me back among other issues. Dr. Greenbaum has done two arthroscopic surgeries on my knees to repair torn menisci. Both surgeries held up well for numerous years. Now that I have developed arthritis, I am receiving ortho-visc injections to assist the thinning cartilage. What I like about Dr. Greenbaum is he is knowledgeable and up to date on the newest and least invasive procedures to help his patients. We first met Dr. Bradley Greenbaum when my Daughter needed Emergency Surgery on her elbow that broke during school recess and lodged a Bone chip in the Joint. He did such an outstanding job for her that both my Wife and I have been going to him for our Knee and Shoulder Issues. He repaired a torn Meniscus 6 years ago in my right knee and now I have a different knee problem that we are trying to resolve with Physical Therapy and are making progress. Dr. Greenbaum is the third doctor I have been too. The first one didn't do a great arthroscopy and I ended up in the ER. The second one said I have Arthritis, "deal with it"... Dr. Greenbaum is exceptional! I have seen my share of Orthopedic doctors over a life time of competitive athletic sports. I am 62 yr. old and started sports at ten years of age. I still snow ski and do equestrian jumping. He knew right away how my body functioned and the trouble spots. I came in for PRP injections for both of my shoulders and both knees. Usually this is painful and very uncomfortable. I was relieved as he did the procedure because I didn't feel the needles go in and the pain level was not to bad. I never had joint injects go so well. (My previous doctor had moved out of state so this was my first visit to Dr. Greeenbaum.) His staff was kind and reassuring and explained everything, they took really good care of me. I will be bringing my 92yr. old father in for his cortisone injections as I feel confident the doctor will take great care of him.
