Dr. Simon performed hernia repair surgery on me approximately 3 months ago. When I first consulted Dr. Simon, he was very helpful in detailing the surgery options available to me, as well as the associated risks, and we jointly decided which would be the best option for me. Dr. Simon also successfully performed a few minor surgical procedures prior to my hernia surgery to resolve an issue interfering with the hernia surgery. Overall, I visited Dr. Simon's office at least a dozen times, and I never waited more than 10 minutes to see Dr. Simon, even though he has a busy practice. His staff, Paula and DJ, were always very efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly, and seem to maintain a very organized medical practice. One of the aspects of Dr. Simon's practice that I admire is that, with the patient's permission, he mentors local medical students which allows them to gain valuable practical experience. On every occasion that I met with Dr. Simon, including on the day of my surgery, he was always very friendly and made me feel at ease. He demonstrates a very high level of confidence, professionalism, skill, and medical knowledge. Most importantly, I have recovered nicely from the surgery and feel great. I went into the emergency room at Saint Rose Senna on Monday with a umbilical hernia. The ER doctor looked at me and called Dr. Simon. He told the ER doctor that if he could push it back in that I could be released and that I needed to call his office on Tuesday. I was able to get an appointment for that Wednesday. After looking at my hernia he told me that I needed surgery and explained how he was going to do it. I had surgery the following week as an out patient. I went in at 11:30 and was out by 5:00. I only saw Dr. Simon prior to the surgery and he made me feel comfortable. He informed my wife after surgery that everything went well and that I was to come back in 7 to 10 days for evaluation. I just saw him yesterday and after examining me he said I could go back to work on the 10th of next month. The scar looks to be minimal and I have no pain in that area. Dr. Simon performed emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder. He was very professional and descriptive in regards to the surgery. He answered my (many) questions with great patience. I had never had any surgeries before so I was very inquisitive on all aspects of the procedure. Dr. Simon visited me several times while I was in the hospital recovering from surgery to make sure I was doing okay. I visited his office twice postoperatively per his request. I had some unrelated complications that I shared with him. He and his friendly and kind staff went out of their way to help me. Referred to Dr. Simon from the VA and I am extremely happy with the outcome. I had been experiencing Gallbladder issues for almost a year. He removed my gallbladder using the Divinci Robotic laparoscopy procedure and I did not even need pain medication after leaving the hospital. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Simon and his staff! I recently had my gallbladder removed. I'm an extremely anxious person and the thought of surgery makes me very nervous. Dr Simon was assigned to me when I was in the hospital with a diverticuli abscess and recommended that I have my sigmoid colon removed after the abscess healed. How lucky I was to have found him. After 45 years in the medical profession, I was frightened. His smile was the thing that made life easier. The surgery was done laparoscopically and a little more complicated than anticipated but he did an amazing job. He listens, he educates and I felt he cares. Dr. Simon was my angel from Heaven. I've been suffering from diverticulitis for 27 yrs and again ended up in the hospital, this time for four days. This is where I met Dr. Simon. He saw how ridiculous it was that I've been suffering for so long with this. Surgery was done & I got my life back. I couldn't be happier. They weren't able to complete the robotic because of the mess going on in my gut; which was a blessing that they had to cut me open so they could repair everything that need attention once he was in there. If you have vein problems than go no further. I came across Dr. Simon while surfing on my own. Seeing that he was close to home I made the appointment. I'm so glad I did. The staff is always very friendly and you don't wait hours in the waiting room. I had both of my legs done and I'm more than pleased. My husband had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. We didn't know Dr. Simon, he was assigned to us at the Emergency Room at the St. Rose Hospital. He was so nice and seemed very knowledgeable. After being in the ER for 13 hours with a gallbladder attack, they referred me to Dr. Simon and cannot be more pleased with the entire procedure. He removed my gallbladder 2 weeks later after the initial consultation and even though the pain from the surgery was mild, I went to a Golden Knights hockey game the following night. Fantastic surgeon! I had a DaVinci single site robotic assisted laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. I was pretty much back to normal within just a few days. I went to Dr Simon for schelaratherapy. He suggested we do radio frequency ablation first as this sometimes takes care of the spider veins on it's own. He has a great bedside manner and his staff took phenomenal care of me. My legs very seldom swell anymore and feel as good as they were in my 20's. I have recommended him to many of my colleagues.
