Totally incompetent dentist. She failed to notice a cavity in my tooth during my exam. Then when she tried to take my x-ray, she couldn't get the x-ray instrument to position correctly and again tried to cover up her incompetency by saying that "x-ray is not needed" and simply giving up on it! She then rudely walked out of the room saying the appointment is over and "exam is not covered with cleaning" which is a lie. My insurance confirmed that exam and cleaning always go together and are covered. She was really rude overall and when I tried to ask her questions about my cavity, she couldn't answer them and was short with me. I think she also said something to the effect that she would need to get a separate anesthesia person for a filling because apparently she cannot give local anesthesia either! Needless to say, I did not get any work done with her since she lacks basic skills. She is just a totally incompetent dentist!

At my second appointment they brought out my previous X-rays and mentioned another tooth had the same dark spot... but only mentioned the one at the original appointment. Then they had a new dentist look at me and I got a denied claim from my insurance because the new dentist was not filed under them in their paperwork. I called to ask to fix this and my claim got denied a second time for them being listed under the wrong address. I finally received an accepted claim but I went in for just a cleaning and I have to pay out of pocket for something they put in the claim even though delta dental covers cleanings. This place feels like they are trying to scam patients and find issues that do not actually exist and cause insurance issues to force you to pay out of pocket. Will not be going back.

Dr. Szakaly made me feel at ease. Yesterday was my second procedure and I feel almost normal. During both procedures, his staff were aware of my nervousness and the fear of having the mask on for the oxygen. Someone was always there by my side comforting me and telling me I was doing great. If you have Tricare, beware. I went there for a checkup and cleaning. I hadn't been to dentist in…read moreover a year. They did X-rays and the dentist checked my teeth. After she left, I was told they didn't have anyone to do my cleaning. They said they were in the process of hiring someone. They didn't tell me this information when I made the appointment. A few weeks later, I get a bill for $162.00. They said Tricare didn't cover the total amount of my X-rays. This is the first time I received a bill for X-rays. I will not be going back.
