Jennifer was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable and efficient...until I had to return to the courthouse to correct papers from the original will that were filed incorrectly. This entailed rounding up the original witnesses again and collecting their notarized signatures. Mistakes happen. The estate was not complicated. As executor, I consolidated the bank accounts and sold the condo. I did everything promptly as instructed. In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania it is necessary to wait a year after the filing before distributing the proceeds of an estate. When that year passed we were told that we had to wait an additional 6 months with no explanation (I still do not know why). Perhaps someone did not do her job. Nobody suffered bodily harm, all of the required papers were eventually filed and the estate was distributed, so no harm right? The problem is that I paid a premium price for a substandard job.

The firm will keep the originals on file and send me copies. She led me into a large conference room where we had our meeting along with coffee and water. Expect to pay for attorney services for the time rendered. All in all it is worth it to have peace of mind regarding future planning.
