It was as easy and as stress-free as it could be under the circumstances. We worked with Laura, our funeral director, who was extremely accommodating and helpful. Our requests were simple and nothing was pushed on us which we really appreciated. This was our second experience with ROH, having had our mom's funeral there, which was equally positive. Because of our streamlined requests for cremation without any extra trappings the cost to us was very reasonable. We had a beautiful video which was part of the service and a large room to welcome the visitors. The memorial service was lovely. One thing that really stood out to me is that my parents are from 2 different faiths and she ensured that both were represented at the wake. The funeral was a complete success, with photos of my wife on a screen that funeral goers saw as they entered the building and a room large enough to hold all attendees. Prior to her death, I had been dealing with Ron Rogers, who was a pleasure to deal with and explained everything clearly to me. When I called the funeral home shortly after mom's death and left a message with the answering service, Michael Lonza, the funeral director, called me back in maybe 10 minutes. His initial words were not only very compassionate, but extremely calming. Long story short, he basically told me not to worry and he and his team would take over removal of her body and begin preparing it for burial. Mind you, this funeral home did all of this work without any contract or check given to them. When I went to the funeral home later in the morning to do the paperwork, Ron was already working with the cemetery to arrange a burial for the following day as well as getting death certificates from New York City. Although he is not Jewish, Ron is a real mensch. He even arranged for an excellent rabbi for our family for the service and some nice cards to give out to people at the burial. I express my gratitude to Manhattan Jewish Funeral Home, and especially Ron, for making a difficult time in our family's life a lot easier. I cannot recommend this funeral home enough.

Family oriented, sensitive to the needs of family and loved ones, kind and courteous staff, and on site notary services on site for that needed paperwork no one ever wants to deal with. Prices are reasonable. On top of the fact they have completely free notary servíces on hand for the general public. Such a great place to have.
