By far the best sausage in the country. It's been here for almost 100 years. The storage is the exact same. The meat is the exact same. The smoked sausage is absolutely out of this world. It was worth a two hour redirect of my trip to stop by and get a few pounds of sausage and then get the smoked sausage dog. Incredible.... Be sure to talk to Charlene when you go in.

This is a local hidden gem! If you ever have the time to spare to check this place out - do it. You won't be disappointed by the food or knickknacks around the store. The sausage was SO GOOD and having a classic cola made the experience all the more enjoyable (my boyfriend has a cream soda - highly recommend). The best part was the scenery to soak up while your innards soak up the love put into the meal. We will be back to enjoy the offerings at Bradley's Country Store.

Walk through the doors of Bradley's and welcome to 1955. Games, candies, soda pop all from the era. It's a trip down memory lane. Bradley's opened in 1927 and has been going strong ever since. Their claim to fame is sausage. You can buy it from the case, frozen. Or, you can order individual dogs. I had a spicy 6" and topped it with sauerkraut, yellow mustard & relish. My wife had the same with spicy mustard instead of lettuce? My son ordered the footlong with mustard & onions. We added some chips & soft drinks. Fountain refills are 25¢. Yep. You read that right. Best sausage ever? Not even close. I'm told their grits are outstanding. This Yankee won't touch em. The short sausage was mealy~on the verge of crumbling. Flavor was ok, but would have been far better had they been grilled rather than steamed. My son's footlong had better texture, but still would have benefited from grilling. The bun gets soggy from all the moisture from the steamer. Still. It's a great experience. A walk down memory lane. And you meet the nicest folks. Reminds me of Luckenbach, TX. Just a sausage "stand". A gift shop. Lots of soft drinks. And great people. Visit Bradley's and relive the 50's.

Going to Bradley's is always a treat. The employees know their stuff, the food is excellent and the atmosphere in there is really just the best. I can't get enough of their pork chop sandwiches.

Great sausage. Fun store. History at it's tastiest! If you are in the area, it is worth a stop. Lunchtime would be best or take some sausages with you. (We did both.) Eat out under the old trees! Perfect location for a lunch. The guy who served our sausages and later packaged the ones we brought home was super friendly and entertaining.

The delicious foot long. So good I had to have another.

I have been making the trek to Bradley's every couple of months since the pandemic began to stock up on their sausage and, although I wish they were a little more careful with mask wearing, it usually is not too anxiety inducing. Wear your mask and wash your hands after you leave and you should be okay. Just don't go between 11-2 when they get busy. I went brain dead today and made that mistake. In the past few months I have been so careful to go after 2pm when business is slower but today that didn't even cross my mind until we were almost to Bradley's. There were lots of cars in the parking lot and many people going in and out. Although everybody I saw had a mask on today, there wasn't too much social distancing going on inside. I was quite glad to get out the door with my purchases so I could bring my anxiety level back down sitting in the car. I don't think I will forget to go after 2pm next time. I am going to chalk today up to a combination of senior moment/hungry/been out of Bradley's since before Thanksgiving and move on. However, in another moment of brilliance, I got 8 links of smoked sausage without thinking about how many sausage dogs that will make and I now have 32 bun length sausages to individually wrap and squeeze into my freezer. That's enough for about 3-4 months for the 2 of us. I guess there's a good chance I might have my covid vaccine shots by then and I will be able to get back to going whenever I want. :-) Anxiety inducing or not, their sausage is still delicious and now that I have calmed down I am happy to have my supply restocked. Plus they had a new version of their sausage available in smaller breakfast link size in both their fresh sausage and smoked sausage versions. I had to get a few of those as well to have for breakfast. Bradley's morning, noon and night would be a pretty good day.

Ask the Community - Bradley's Country Store

Does the store ensure that the meats it sells come from producers who don’t use added hormones or other artificial growth enhancers?

Bradley's get their hogs from Selph Farms out of Madison, FL. He does not use any hormones or artificial growth enhancers.

Does anyone sell Bradley sausage in town Tallahassee?

Yes, I believe they sell in a few retail outlets but not many. There are quite a few restaurants that feature their sausage. I know that the olive oil store in the Trader Joes plaza sells Bradley's.

Do you sell sugar free jams or preserves?

No, unfortunately they do not

I've been here a couple times. Their BBQ is really good. It takes a good while to make your food,…read moreso even if you're eating at the mall you are probably better off ordering from their website/app (they use Toast Takeout) and picking up your food when it's ready. I've had the brisket platter and the Seminole. The Seminole is a sampler: two pulled pork sandwiches, wings, ribs, sausage and corn bread. The brisket platter is a couple strips of brisket and two sides. I love their pulled pork, ribs and brisket. Also, the Smokehouse Chips and Hot Honey Cornbread are tasty. The only thing I haven't liked are the wings which were dry and tough. Also, while I loved the brisket, there wasn't much of it. The Seminole on the other hand is enough for two people. Their sauces are sooo good. I've tried Carolina Tangy Gold, Spicy BBQ and Gochu Sauce. They were all really good. My favorite is the Spicy BBQ.

I had the pulled pork slider and a side of collards that was quite good. My husband had the wing platter that came with two sides and cornbread. We enjoyed everything. The wings were a little on the small side but still flavorful. The mac & cheese and green beans were also tasty. I didn't try the cornbread because it's a hot honey and I do not like spice but I have heard good things about it. I hear the salmon dinner is also good. The prices are a little steep but what isn't these days? I'd definitely give them another try.

Sometimes the chicken has been in the pan a little too long and if you hit it when that's the case, you are not going to be happy. In fact if they haven't just put the food in the warmer - I'd pass on all of it. I really think this place is struggling like anywhere else with a lack of good help. They used to be a 5 star for me but in the past year they really have lost some of that employee pride that shone through every interaction before. They still have great chicken and it's so worth the stop. Their produce is good too. I've never been disappointed with the quality. It's a smaller grocery store so they don't have everything we need all the time but for the most part they have what I need.

The best way to describe it is by saying that it is a "neighborhood store." It is not cookie cutter and doesn't appear to operate like the larger chains. The employees are a part of an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) Food Giant's associates share a vested interest in helping the company to succeed. Food Giant Supermarkets operates 108 locations in eight southeastern states. The company's grocery stores comprise of several brands including Food Giant, Piggly Wiggly, Cost Plus, Pick 'n Save, Market Place, Sureway and Mad Butcher. Maybe you have heard some of these. I also noticed that these stores tend to be in smaller towns versus larger metropolitan areas. Thus, supporting this "neighborhood feel." This locations is medium to small in size. I don't think I could do a full grocery shop here, but I would definitely stop in to make a few purchases. I found the produce section to be a bit small and only have the basics as far as selection. I went one time looking for mint leaves and cilantro and didn't find either. There are pretty good deals on meat products. They also have a deli and bakery. There are some pre-cooked foods for purchase. Although I have not not personally tried the fried chicken, I've heard that it's really good. Food giant has early hours, a mobile app, accepts coupons and as weekly deals. It's definitely worth making a trip.
