Best bar in London. Great jukebox with old records. Friendly people, one of the few bars I went in this neighborhood and felt welcome.

I really like a little trip to Bradleys. Either upstairs or preferably downstairs there is a really lovely vibe in this place. The decor in the upstairs bar is little better than the slightly dishevelled basement, but this kind of lends to the charm. The music is great (jukebox vinyl blah blah noise jukebox...you have to mention the vinyl jukebox. It is the law) and the staff are all super friendly. Maybe it is because I often come here with Crazy Matt, but we always seem to get talking to some randoms, which to be honest is always an interesting affair. I think this is also the catalyst for making Bradleys a good place for a few drinks - a wide range of people. Some insane, some not, but a wide range nonetheless. So Chris, with all of these good points, why only a three star review? Quite simple really. When I came here two months ago, the basement bar was imbued with a mortifying stench from the lavatories. That is worthy of a loss of star. When I came back this week, it smelled even worse. Another star gone. I am sure they are just as fastidious with cleaning tables, floors and glasses at Bradleys. Or maybe the people that own and run Bradleys know that it is a busy little tourist trap that many people romanticise like I do and do not give a monkey's. Who am I to guess? read more

I had walked past this place a million times, always enjoying the music that came from within and thinking some day.... that some day was thursday and it was everything i wanted. a total hole in the wall (as everyone on here has written). very low key and different. not alot of muss and fuss but perfect if you just want to have a drink and not deal with annoying people. and open late, thank god. which in that area is a hard find, if it isnt a pub. watch out: there is a £20 minimum for credit cards at the bar, so unless youre buying in bulk, bring cash. read more

On pretty much any website which gives reviews to this pub, 'Bradleys', you will find its' popularity is in being one of three venues in London today with an old style vinyl juke-box. Tiny as it comes don't let its' appearance fool you, the size brings it a feel of coziness, regulars are warm people who are easy to get along with, during the week they bring a sense of homliness to the pub. The decoration in the pub can easily remind many of being in a holiday destination somewhere in the tropics with walls covered in postcards and foreign currency, which is also blended in well with traditional Spanish decorations to give it an actual feel of a "Spanish Bar". Thursday evenings are known as the start of the weekend.... 'Bradleys does not fail to compete with other London pubs packed as it can be... the overspill onto the streets is what many have come to love, the atmosphere is terrific all weekend. The Australian bar staff tend to like the 'Sunday Sessions' as they are the most chilled out and relaxed. A Laid back Aussie?... Never heard of it. The prices in Bradleys are typically London, a bit of a surprise for its' location, many reffer to as "A little pub hidden in some alleyway" ? Not really... its a place that grows on you by the time you leave. The bar staff are really what gives this pub its' charm they are all well mannered and nicely presented, and can keep you entertained for hours, and they are not afraid to befriend you and join in friendly conversations. A charming pub which has the ability to attract many different and diverse crowds, 'Bradleys' is certainly worth visiting if you like a great atmosphere, and surrounding yourself with humble, friendly and educated people worth having a conversation with. You'll tend to leave the pub with a nice feeling having met some interesting people, and have certainly enjoyed the music and also the nice selection of beers, wines and spirits. Bradleys has a nice atmosphere... the ideal place to go for a San Miguel beer when you need to come out off Oxford St ASAP. It reminds me of the classic tapas bars in the old Madrid (but without tapas) so going there is to feel a bit at home. Bad point.... can get too crowded. I'd walked past Bradley's bar a million times but had never been in so was quite excited when my friend suggested it for after work drinks. They had a wide selection of drinks including a few Spanish beers on tap. The bar is relatively small upstairs with a little seating area but I was told there were more seats downstairs in the basement. We stood outside as it was a nice evening and the bar is on a tiny quiet street so not too much traffic passing by. The best thing about this place is it's jukebox which plays vinyl records of all different types of music. The drinks were standard London prices. Would probably go back at some point, it is a nice place to have a drink and get away from the chaos of Oxford Street. Not too sure why it's called a Spanish bar though as it wasn't very Spanishy feeling. read more

This is a no-frills bar that is perfect when you're looking for a drink without all the hype and BS that you typically find even in most pubs in the area. Bradley's has comfy chairs and some booths in the basement with some TVs (last time I was there, people were gathered to watch a football match). They have a great selection of beers on tap and some good wines as well. The bartenders are all helpful and chatty. Guys seem to really enjoy the chill homey atmosphere of this place. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a very relaxed casual place with some quality brews. read more

This is not the best bar in London, but it is the best hole in the wall Spanish bar in London!!!!! We found this place by accident really and it could not have come at a better time during our London trip as I was really missing the Cruzcampo beer I had been drinking in Spain (COPA GRANDE!!!) We walked in to a bar smaller than my bathroom at home and ended up shoulder to shoulder with at least 30 other people enjoying the scene to the fullest. Bradley's is a small Spanish bar tucked away behind Oxford street. Located on two levels, this rather small bar is usually frequented by some Spanish regulars and other bohemian types. It is most famous for its vinyl jukebox downstairs and lively atmosphere. Been here on my two separate visits to London. I fell in love with it because it reminded me of being somewhere in the village, at some dive bar tourists would never wander to. The experience included the bohemian theme, the jukebox, REAL (original) Czech Budweiser Pilsner pints, and we got chatted up by a cutie there as well. Grab a pint (of Budweiser) sit of those red plush couches and people-watch till you get sick of it. This is the place I would be at every day if I lived in London. I just love the atmosphere. Now this pub is a little gem hidden away from the Hustle & Bustle of Oxford street/Tottenham Court road. It's Spanish, intimate & has a free duke box. It's grungy & has locals and transients alike. The toilets are interestingly squashy - with those swinging doors that make you feel like you are in a John Wayne movie! The staff are friendly & down to earth. it's not hard to strike up a conversation with your fellow drinkers! I luv this place! Worth a visit when in the area for sure! read more

We ordered a few great beers here and stood outside in the alley drinking them, where we met lots of awesome folks. The place is tiny, with a super old school jukebox and a cozy vibe. Bradley's has a huge dose of character. I love it. I'm a huge fan of Spain and this definitely encapsulates the laid-back, slightly dingy, and convivial atmosphere of a typically Spanish bar, one that you might find in Barcelona or Madrid. The upstairs is tiny, but there are more seats downstairs. Don't go here if you're looking for a clean, classy place as it's definitely more grunge than glam - dark decor, old furniture and the air of a place that's been around. There's nothing "modern" about it. I first came here as student and now, if I'm around Tottenham Court Road, and fancy a quick drink, this will always be my first choice. This bar is great. But I have a question: WHY do all of the staff have mullets? All of them. Even the women. Strange. But I love the staff here. They make me giggle and sing silly songs and have fun while I'm waiting for my friend Chris. He is always later than me which is a very rare thing. They make waiting fun. The bar is tiny, so it's always packed and you'd have to get here at midday to bag a seat for the evening. But no there's no smoking inside this doesn't seem to bother so much as I pop out every hour. You'll have fun here. You'll end up talking to randoms and listening to their FANTASTIC jukebox (though if you get here late don't waste your money - your songs won't get played in time.) You'll even come out thinking that mullets are pretty cool. But that's a good sign of how drunk you are. read more

A fantastic little bar on two floors. Tucked in a little alley just off Oxford Street. This bar is no frills but ticks all the boxes for character and great beer. Deco is over the top and piled on all over the place. Bar staff are edgy and very friendly which is what counts in my books. Also the worst toilets in the whole of the UK. No one minds though and it's always a character feature and speaking point. The duke box is the best too. read more

bradleys is a small place just off oxford street, that surpringly may make you feel you are not in london central at all. it is true that is always packed, but it is also a sound place to meet people, as the crowd is very friendly. it is frequented by spaniards, but i reckon the majority are english guys. maybe because it is so sanish that the spanish don't want to go whatsoever, but, as i said, some do. the staff is very friendly and there are plenty of wines to drink away. if you are lucky enough to find a table you might well have a bottle and spend a good time. if you do not find a table, take off your drinks and participate of the right good spanish habit of getting wasted in the street. i would define it as a sound chance to get away from oxford street without stepping away if you plan your night around read more

Tucked away just off Oxford street it does feel like you're finding a hidden gem. The bar (pub really) itself used to be a brothel and you can't help but imagine when in the basement just what sort of seedy clientele used to slip off Oxford street and climb downstairs to visit the wenches. It's a average pub, so I'm giving it an average rating, there's nothing to write home about really. Yes it has a jukebox but really guys I think we're getting a little overexcited about outdated technology (even if retro is 'in'). I was a bit disappointed, being a Spaniard myself, that they didn't give you a tapa with your beer (as is our custom) or that they don't actually have any tapas on sale at all. That part of what quintessentially makes a Spanish pub. They do however have Spanish beer for sale so all is not lost. I suppose the real sign of how authentic a place is is how many natives frequent it. I was there on Saturday evening during a Barcelona and later a Valencia football game and it was pretty safe to say that I was the only Spaniard there. Overall worth a visit if you're in the area a fancy a drink but not worth specifically going there, especially if you're looking for an actual Spanish bar. read more

You go to Bradleys for the experience. Its spirit is in the memories of crowded post-work knees-ups here. The decor hasn't changed in years; it has the 'shabby' without the 'chic'. There's always a story or two to recall from sessions there. Get there on an afternoon and the atmosphere makes you feel like it's late evening, and yet the conversation, mostly with randoms, often with little to associate them with this part of the world, is usually sparkling. Started coming here last autumn while chasing an amazing Summer holiday in Barcelona spent meandering around the fun and chilled out bars after which many London offerings seemed depressingly pretentious/ridiculous. Was very happy to encounter this place... Love the alleyway in which it is situated and the look of the neon 'bar' sign. It's very chilled inside and you can enjoy a reasonably priced Estrella and chill with your friends. Clientele is massively varied, and when it gets busy people spill out onto the road. I absolutely love this placeit's the best kind of bar in my opinion, intimate, a real atmospheric kind of place when there's a few punters in. Even when as we did last Saturday turned up at opening time for pre-Springsteen drinks with friends it is still so comfortable, and relaxing after our train journey from Oop North! and the lovely Spanish girl behind the bar has the most welcoming smile. As previous posters have mentioned the old school vinyl Juke Box is awesome, featuring a variety of class tunes from 60's/70's Soul to Teardrop Explodes, Killing Joke, Faith No More, and even Whitesnake..for those inclined! This was my 4th visit and i can't wait to go back again. Love the place and the Beers aint bad too. read more
