Also seems they can't keep workers. 3 supervisor during this time. This should have never taken this long. There was also about a 6 weeks that nothing nor anyone ever came to the house. Josh answered and I explained what happened and he said he would be there in about 1hr. He arrived in about 45 min and had a very calming demeanor which was wonderful! He said he would look downstairs and then talk to us. HE came upstairs and explained what had to be done and that he would take care of us. Then he went downstairs and worked until about 2:30. He and Daniel-arrived the next morning . Josh explained about contacting our homeowners insurance company to file a claim which we did And were told an adjustor would be out in a few days. Josh and Daniel worked non stop until7:30 pm. They removed wet carpets tiles furniture heavy sofas etc without taking a break. then they fans and heaters to help dry out the basement. My mother is 85yrs old and had a lot of water damage 09-15-24-I came home from work that evening (about 8:30pm) only to find water in basement and kitchen-I thought pipes had burst. I tried to clean up myself but it was too much and very overwhelming. I looked on line and started calling 24 hour Companies available. Of course all had voice mails, one gentleman I did get a hold of told me he couldn't come out til Monday (this was a Sunday night) I was a little frantic due to mold and/or mildew concerns with standing water. I found Josh Williams Restoration on line and called and spoke with Josh and explained the urgent need, the stressful situation and the importance of getting someone out that evening and he informed me he could come out that evening in about 45 minutes as he was out of Chesaning. True to his word, he was out in about 45 minutes! He assessed the situation and reassured my mother and I , he would take care of. Josh was here til 1 or 2 am Monday morning- Thank God! He stated he would be back in morning with additional equipment needed to begin the Restoration process. Again, a man of his word! Unpopular, unsightly, and rather boring, it's a job that had to be done nonetheless. Jim from Duct Works did a great job on my air ducts in my rental home, making the entire process stress free. My initial call to Jim was just for a quote and to answer a few questions and although I called a few more places for quotes, it's Jim's honesty and straight-forwardness that made me want to use him for the job. He's the owner/operator of DuctWorks and I liked knowing that the person I was talking with on the phone would be the person who would show up for the job. Lucky for me, Jim had an opening the following day and we were able to knock the job out before the weekend. Although I wasn't present for the actual cleaning, my tenant said that Jim was friendly and did the job efficiently and quickly. I followed up with a phone call to Jim to see if there was any issues and thankfully there weren't any (whew! No dead animals in the ducts. Always a relief) A few things I learned from calling around about duct cleaning is that some of the national chains won't do an older home where they suspect or are unsure of asepsis around the ducts. DuctWorks took every precaution in working with my older home that the other, larger chains passed on. Also, DuctWorks uses a truck instead of the handheld vacs ensuring that the dust and particles are removed safely and quickly without re-emitting anything into the air. The prices are reasonable for duct work cleaning and given that it was a long time coming for my house, it was well worth it. I've already recommended him to home owners for their home maintenance.
