They have a variety of cakes and cookies and beverages as you walk in the door. They even asked me if I would like a glass of wine ! Treated me like a queen! Very professional and clean and modern decor. You have a great view of the lake while getting your hair done. And it was by far the best haircut and style I've ever had ! The stylist took her time to ensure that it was everything that I wanted. The best part about it is that they make you feel like family when you're there. Second time braiding Started an hour and a half after appt…read moretime so I wasn't too happy with that, but I know that happens often and I'm used to it. I got box braids this time and they looked Fantastic the first week. Lovvvved them. The owner started the braids and then had two other women finishing them so they were done in under two hours! This is how to not be in the chair all day people! Fast forward 7th day and we have major slippage. Most of the braids are a full inch from the scalp now. I'm pretty sure because she wrapped around hair. You can see in pic. I was sure these would last a month or more but 2 weeks in and I don't think I feel confident that some just won't fall out. I've been doing a braid over the top and big buns so you can't see the slipping, although I would prefer her to be able to wear down. If we do go back we'll probably do cornrows again or crochet. I like that her shop is large and kept clean and she's friendly.
