I had my hair colored and styled by Holly. She is AWESOME! This salon is a bit pricey for the Dover area, but worth it.

Well I was told I was lucky to get fit in and they were not busy. So I get a dry cut and go to pay, was told 48 dollars wow hair cut that's a lot I got a cut no wash or style. Will not be going back read more

Got a great haircut, place is clean staff is friendly.

Turned down multiple times by the same lady. She refused to serve us. I felt she discriminated against me because of my skin color. She singled me out and said she couldn't help me- this happened every time. It's unfortunate an establishment still exists like this. read more

I wish I could say this place is great, but very disappointed. The staff's very friendly and that's the only good thing I can say about the place. I went to get my hair done here and the first session was very patchy and streaky and I was orange all over. She didn't even bother to dry my hair all the way either. The hairstylist said it was naturally that way, so I gave it another chance. The second session was just as bad or maybe even worse. She said she will fix it up so it blends nicely, but not at all. It looks like I have black patch and orange/yellow hair. I spent over $400 for trusting the process and I really wish I stuck with my guts the first time around. I went for the convenience of it being closer and I wish I didn't. Would not recommend to anyone at all. read more

I walked in not understanding dyes and all the mumble jumbo of hair coloring but Tish explained everything well. I'm biracial and Tish handled my hair thickness and curls well. This is a horrible salon. Communication is substandard. Called repeatedly to reschedule me. Had a specific conversation about having enough time to do my cut and color that required more than 1 1/2 hrs based on what I had done in March. I show up and the length of The appt was STILL wrong. The receptionist was ill prepared with the skills to reschedule me, once again. Another person showed up with an attitude and said I was yelling. I was not. She was raising her voice and when I pointed that out her excuse changed to she was yelling because I was being mean. Oh wow!! Can't make this stuff up. I scheduled an appt but went elsewhere and got a great cut and color. Oh! In March when I first had my hair done there the stylist and I discussed 2 options for color and decided on one. Then she decided to do the other and when I pointed it out she replied that she would correct my next visit. And BTW, the owner of this salon burned my hair off elsewhere in 2009. Lol. I got my hair cut and straightened by the lead stylist Gulya! I love my cut overall. I made my appointment a month in advance and warned them ahead of time I had a lot of hair. The girl who recommended me to Gulya said her haircuts are 50 bucks so I was looking to spend no more than 100. Although I do not mind paying for quality, I do not like being taken advantage of. And I felt taken advantage of. Gulya made straightening my hair seem like a hassle. she charged me 120 for my hair Cut And to straighten it. vickys eyes at the front desk got big as Gulya adjusted the price for her services. Mind you I have had much better blow outs that have costed much less. read more

I had an amazing experience at Trendz Salon and Color Bar! The front desk lady was super welcoming, and my stylist Tish was superb! She made me feel right at home. I am compelled to share my disappointment of Trendz Salon's deceptive price advertised at trendzscb.com. For ladies haircut shoulder length dry cut only, no shampoo, no wash, no styling, no hairspray was a deceitful overcharged! The attached receipt is evidence of overcharged by $9.  Trendz justified that regardless of the advertised pricing, it can change at any given day of service provided. To me false advertisement is deceptive! The price advertised should be honored as proper customer service and as a professional courtesy. read more

I have been seeing Gulya since I was a kid, even before she opened this place. Gulya is an amazing hairstylist and has fixed quite a few of my bad home haircuts. The staff here is extremely friendly and very helpful. All of the stylists are always willing to talk with you about what type of style you want. They always know better than someone who's inexperienced like me so if they suggest something else or alter you desired style, it's because they are trying to make it look good and make it complement your features. The only reason I'm giving this place four instead of five stars is because I got my haircut there and I wasn't very fond of the style. The style wasn't bad, I got loads of compliments with it, it just wasn't the style I wanted. I like my styles to be a bit more on the wild side and sometimes the staff has a tendency to talk me out of some of my styles. Overall, they are a great business and I've been going to them for a long time. read more
