He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family.
