Amazing service! My son was driving to So. Cal to spend a week with his brother before the brother got married. Just a carefree week of bachelor brothers hanging out. He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family. I had the worst encounter with this man/ owner, last month. I was not even his customer, I was just trying to leave the premises! I tried leaving the way I came in, but the city was unloading huge garbage containers, about 8 to be exact! After I waited for 15 minutes and realized the guy was going to be a while unloading 1 at a time, I made a3 point turn and attempted to go out the back way, and encountered him mr Jesus, blocking the path! After patiently waiting another 15 minutes I politely said "excuse me" he ignored me, I said it louder the second time, and he glared at me, the 3rd time he said what! I asked can you move one of the cards so I can leave please! He said did you ask the other guy that? I said I did and he's unloading several huge containers, so now I'm asking you. He said will in working, I said will I have to go back to work and your not keyring me out! He then repeated did you tell that to the other guy? I said look, I have somewhere to be and your blocking my way, can you move one of the cars so I can leave? He said they just towed that one in and it won't start! I said then move the one your working on, he mumbled something, to which I said....I can just call the fire department and tell them your illegally blocking a path/ exit and we can see what they say about the situation! Our Honda Odyssey broke down on I-5 outside Santa Nella this weekend. It was 9:30 on a Sunday morning. We worked our way through the phone book trying to find a mechanic who was open and could help us out. Jesse was the first mechanic to answer and I am so thankful he did. When we described the issue with our car, he immediately knew of a reported issue with 2010-2014 Honda Odysseys and was able to recommend the fix. Seriously Jesse is the man he is totally honest and will get your car done right I know this because of the way he treated me from the start! The tow truck driver who picked up my car referred me to Jesse because he is an expert when it comes to Mazda's and that is totally true as he knew well enough that my car was just outta play for what it was and referred me to seek the dealer to cover the costs of the fire that happened as it's just not an old enough car to have this happen especially with the low miles so I took his advice and moved it to try to get it done. From my time first talking to Jesse to my time meeting him it was a super pleasant experience as he totally lead me in the right way to try and get things fixed his advice and inspection has really helped me to get things going hopefully in the right direction for my car. My daughter was driving her old Toyota Camry from Davis to SoCal when her car started leaking a lot of oil. She pulled off the 5 and had to stay at a hotel. This has been the best car service place I have ever been to. Very reliable, quick, and trustworthy! I was in town for a burial and my front breaks and rotors went out. I needed somewhere close and work done the same day. This was my last place to call because I was denied everywhere that was in a 10 mile radius. I spoke with Jesse and he was willing to get the job done. He called his vendor for my parts so he told me, "let me call vendor to see if they have the parts and I will call you back" he called me back right away and confirmed he can have the job done and gave me a price before making the drive. He was willing to have the job done right away knowing that I was passing through and needed to go home (San Francisco). I got to his shop, he took my keys, and told me he will call me when it's done. I went to get food and in a hour (like he said) he called to tell me my car was done. The car is running so much better and I couldn't be any happier driving home with a better piece of mind that my breaks were good. He even placed a floor mat in the car so he doesn't leave foot prints on my rug (the other places I been never did this) and having OCD this always bothered me when placed didn't do that, lol. This guy whatever is name is idk. I took my BMW to him early morning and he told me he had all parts and that he would call me when he knew what problem was. First of all he never called he took all day never even looked at my car. I had to pick up at 6pm after I called him 6 times asking about my car. He told me h had to go back to shop meaning he closed shop without touching my car or calling me. And once I picked up my car. 30 minutes later i get a voicemail of him talking about me calling me a Fn certified bmw idiot and continued to trash talk me. Well Jesse is probably the first auto mechanic that I can say I trust. I had First found his shop via yelp reviews for my mom and dad's vehicle for repair. I can't remember exactly what he did but he fixed the problem and found out that it actually was more of a job than he had anticipated but he still held firm on the amount he quoted; however my parents added some money for his troubles. I have just started to do my own work on my vehicles and I was gonna need someone to look over my work. Otherwise my mother would be nagging me about if it was safe or not. Way too much nagging for my ears. So I did my front brakes changed the brake pads and rotors. I didn't realize I was going to the same person I referred my mom and dad to until we got there and my mom mentioned who Jesse was. Jesse is open seven days a week, this guy works really hard. If you need to get any type of mechanic work I would definitely recommend Jesse. I myself will be using him on a consistent basis to look over my work. The next thing I'm going to do is the rear brakes replacing the shoes and drums and then replace my struts and shocks. My van broke down in Santa Nella, California just a few hundred yards from the I-5 exit. After parking overnight, it wouldn't start ... not even a peep from the engine. AAA sent a tow truck and the nice lady tested out my battery which turned out to be fine. She jigged a few things and we got it started. She recommended I go see Jessie at Advanced Service in Los Banos and called him for me. Knowing he was there and waiting, I made the relatively short drive. When I arrived he quickly made room for my van. He gave me an upfront agreement to sign for a $90 inspection fee. Less than 15 minutes later, he had it fixed. My assumption was the starter was dead -- its a 20 year old van -- but instead the bracket holding one of the cables to the battery had corroded so much that the wires were not conducting electricity. Fearful of the cost and whether I would make it back to LA in time for one of my kid's school events, I was elated to suddenly be back in action. Let's be honest, I was a guy from LA passing through town. He could have spent an hour doing nothing but banging on my car with a hammer and charged me $500 and what would I have known? Instead I was thrilled to pay $90 and know that there are good people in the world. Lastly to the cash paying troll who dubbed himself as an "ideal customer," businesses have to pay 3% fees for credit cards. Knowing this and not being a self entitled jerk, I actually had Jessie charge me $100 ... partly to cover his fees and just to show that I was grateful for his honest service. Not to mention ... $30 for an oil change?!?! I'd be thrilled to find one for double that anywhere else. Now if I could only find a guy like Jessie near where I live. read more

I've never even thought of writing a review on Yelp before today. So, where do I begin? First off, I needed an oil change, so I go in Thursday evening at 4:30. Apparently, they close at 5, and not 7, as Yelp has listed. So, I came back the next day, deciding to give them a chance anyway. I show up the next day and nobody is in the shop but his son. He says his dad, the owner, is out and will be back in 10 minutes. I wait 15 minutes for him to get back. He finishes fixing another car and pulls mine in. He repairs it while I wait in in the dingy office for some 20 minutes, in addition to the 30 I'd already spent waiting. When he finishes, he comes in and sits down. I ask if my car is good to go, to which he replies yes. I ask if he accepts credit - since there's a sign on his door signifying he does - and he outright asks me if I don't have cash. I want to build my credit and would much rather pay with credit for many other reasons, but I go ahead and give him cash anyway. I explicitly say "30 dollars, right?" to which he says yes. So I thank him and head on home with my receipt. I look down at my receipt and the total says '29.30'. He skimmed 70 cents off me after I was patient, agreeable and even did him a favor. Wow!! Let me just set the scene here. My family of 6 is driving in our 2013 Ford Exposition towing a utility trailer full of camping gear. We have been on a 10 day beach camping trip and decided to stay and play the beach and drive in the evening so the kids would sleep. We were coming from SD to Sacramento on good old I-5 through many miles of cows and crops. At midnight the truck starts to overheat for no apparent reason followed by the power steering going out and some associated warnings. We exit the freeway in Firebough and car dies completely at the gas station there. It took over 3 hours to get a tow truck to come get us and take us into Los Banos (the next town.) We jumped in the tow truck and on the way I called Advanced auto repair to see if I could leave a message and if perhaps it would confirm for me that they would be open SUNDAY to help us get back on the road. I was shocked when Jesse picked up the phone at 3:30am. He chatted with me for a few minutes about the issue and let me drop the truck off at his shop so he could check it out in the morning. I was impressed! In the morning my husband called and he said he was already working on the serpentine belt that had broken causing all the problems. He also checked the pulleys and noticed that one was "a little wobbly" so he got the part and replaced it. This new part did not fix the wobbly so he removed the new part and retuned it for us to keep our costs down. Once the truck was fixed he picked us up at the hotel and brought us back to his shop where we paid him what seemed to be too little and thanked him for his superior service. Jessie, is a true blessing. My front axle started making a horrible loud clacking noise (Bad CV Joint) while travel down the freeway to Sacramento 11:00 at night. I pulled in slowly to the first Hotel I could find and spent the night. First thing in the morning, I started making calls to the local shops, most were closed. Even though I didn't leave a message, Jesse call me back Because I saw a missed call. He was very kind and supportive of the fact that I was stranded, he told the to bring the car and he would do what he could to get me back on the road. I was able to limp the car to his shop. He does a full review of your car and keeps it on file so he knows exactly what needs fixing or will need to be fixed later (tires looking a lil bald, things like that). My daughter's car kept overheating as she was heading to college from Southern California. With few options and purely based on Yelp, I sent her to Advanced Service & Repair, 300 miles away from home. I called ahead to Jesse, and he promised me he would take care of my little girl's car as soon as she came into his shop. My daughter called me and told me that Jesse was great, set her at ease with his sense of humor, and that he reminded her of the guys in our own family. Turned out her car had a cracked radiator (Jesse sent pictures so I would know it was legit), and he had her radiator changed out and my daughter back on the road in only two hours. My daughter called me once she was back on the road to let me know that her car was running perfectly again, and that Jesse had been awesome and helped her remain calm. The cost was fair for the repair, and Jesse called me to let me know my daughter was on the road and the car was back in good condition. Jesse and I even talked about the importance of family, and that when they are good, we are good. What else can I say? Life saver! We were so stressed trying to get home from a long road trip. A recently purchased used Volvo was acting up.
