It's a fairly nice place to visit, but I don't think it's improved that much since the days when it was free! I like some of the changes they've made, but since they have expenses, it might be fair for the city of Watertown to help subsidize the zoo, like they did the airport that we really didn't need! read more

I love this place, and so do my kids. You get a wonderful family-fun zoo experience without the madness of a large city and the constant extra expenses big zoos seem to tack on. Not to mention huge crows which detract from the experience. The petting area is awesome, the indoor exhibits are awesome, and the variety of animals is awesome. When I ask my kids if they want to go to the Bramble Park Zoo or to a movie, they will always pick the zoo. And that is a pretty positive endorsement. read more

When I first walked in, I was not very impressed. The place looked like it needed some work. As I continued walking around I was impressed with collection of animals they have. Yes, the place is dated and could use a lot of work. One thing about smaller zoos is you can typically get closer to the animals and get up and close. Downside is the exhibits look small and are a throwback to the 60's and 70's. If you are in the area, it is worth a couple of hours to stop in for a visit. It is great for kids for about 1 or 2 hour visit and you probably can see 90% of the zoo. read more

Great place to take friends and family. Very clean and updated with a large variety of animals.

Cute little zoo. I loved the set up as the layout is perfect for little ones as the animals are close together. My kids also loved the play areas (barn and playground and Dino digger play area) the animals all seemed happy and well cared for which is important to me when visiting a zoo. Best zoo of this size that I've been to! There aren't a ton of animals but there is a variety of them - camels, kangaroos, bison, prairie dogs, tigers, leopards, bald eagles, penguins, pygmy goats, various types of monkeys, a bear, wolves, foxes, and a lot more. The coolest part is how close the enclosures are to the animals. I've never been so close to a bear, tiger, or penguin before. It really is amazing! There are also indoor aquariums and taxidermy for those looking for some cool air in the summer. We took our 1 year old and it was an easy 1.5 hour visit. Even on a warm day, many of the animals were out and easy to see. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our visit. Would definitely come back here again and recommend to those considering it. As of 7/2014, it is $8 per adult. read more

Small, but mighty. New additions of otter and sloth are great and the petting zoo area is upgraded and clean.

Good for family's. You can get close to the animals and see them well. Not a ton of animals, but the ones they have were fun to watch. It is a nice sized zoo if you have younger children. I would go back if I was in the area, it was $7 for adults and $5 for kids over 5. They also had stroller or wagon rentals for $2.17 which was awesome because we forgot our stroller. read more

My husband and I and our kids are in SD for business purposes, we decided to take a 2hr drive to bramble park zoo, and after walking around the park i regret wasting our time. We will never go back nor do i recommend anybody to go, this zoo is by far the worst zoo I've ever gone to and we travel a lot so I've seen my share of zoo's. the animals looks so sad and the areas they had for the 2 tigers, Leopard and cheetah were smaller then I've ever seen they had hardly any room to walk around they looks depressed! they say bald eagles are endangered well they have quit a few at this zoo, every zoo we've been to never had more than 1 this zoo had 3-4 and like 6 hawks, their camels humps were extremely lopsided it was uncomfortable to even look at! very dirty and not very well maintained. definitely wouldn't waist our money there again and again i recommend you don't either read more

I believe we have the bezt zoo!! I enjoytaking my grandbabies and exploring what they have!! Kids love iut too!!

For a smaller zoo in a small city I was pleasantly surprised. Animals seemed very well taken care of for the most part.
