It took me just over a year to write this difficult review. My family and I unfortunately had the experience of using Branch Funeral Home. Even though the circumstances were one of the worst anyone wants to experience Branch did the best they could do to make the experience smooth and well, quite beautiful and dignified. Probably best that I spare y'all the sadnesses of this day. But I can tell you that sadness and depression isn't just a state of mind, it's far more. Foolish me, Mr. Machismo - Mr. Opinionated would tell others (thankfully not the deceased) *tell your problems to a therapist or Jesus, then go run a mile, you won't be sad after that.* Gosh what a foolish thing to say. Walking through the parking lot it started to rain again, one of those slow and musty New York rains that has a certain meanness to it that ya just can't define. And it gave the parking lot an oily greasy look to the blacktop pavement and the street beyond had an unhealthy glow. This young man, three years my junior, brought me eggplant parmesan every week because I told him how much I loved his. He did use three chesses Locatelli Romano, Parmesan and Granna Padanna, delivered hot to my door. He wrote my mother one of the most sincere Get Well letters years ago after she had sustained an injury. To kneel up upon him was about as sad as I've been in a good while, my female friend was flowing like Niagra, not a dry eye in the house, but enough of this. If cremation wasn't my choice, you can be rest assured that I'd be a handsome and proud corpse in any coffin within the walls of this beautiful funeral home, it didn't smack of sadness, the paintings, the six foot oval in wall fish tank, flowing staircases, ornate carpeting. Then to enjoy watching from above ground (maybe below, not completely sure about that just yet) my pictures being fingered and smiled at by my loved ones -- laughing and crying with my favorite music playing throughout. Lots of the Greatful Dead was strumming away with words that glow on this sad evening. My family owns a bunch of plots atop a beautiful hill with a variety of trees and they aren't thrilled of "that crazy cremation idea of yours" anyone wanna buy a grave? I'll hook you up -- but then your stuck with my family for eternity and I can assure you, that probably ain't no picnic. I am beginning to rethink this decision and it's in part due to Branch's modern touch. One wide and long room dwarfed any of the Brooklyn and Queens showing rooms, appropriate social distancing, cards to write find memories of the deceased. I filled up two which revolved around sneaking him into some clubs years ago, I was 22 he was underage and I had the best (fake) extra ID. It was the right of passage to be indoctrinated into acceptance with the older crowd and some light good 'ole boy hazing, only two are chosen and I was one when I was the young whipper snapper -- shocking, right? read more

At one of the worst times for my family, the unexpected death of our mother, we met the kindest and most genuine professionals at Branch Funeral Home in Miller Place. They guided us through a very painful process with ease, answering all our questions and some we did not even know to ask. A representative was always available by phone to assist us with the decision-making process and to guide us accordingly. In addition, Branch representatives were extremely efficient as they coordinated our services with a church and cemetery burial. For the wake, we gave them many family photos (picture boards and frames) which they displayed beautifully among the flower arrangements we received from family and friends. The facility is state of the art, extremely clean, and well-organized. A friendly staff member was on-site to greet visitors as they arrived and to assist them as needed. It is with great appreciation we thank the Branch Funeral Home staff for their dedication in supporting our family through a very unsettling and overwhelming time of grief. read more

We utilized the services of Branch of Miller Place for my Dad's funeral service last week. What an amazing experience during an otherwise devastating time in my life! Paul made the whole process so easy - from planning services to choosing the casket to arranging the repast. He even took some of my tasks off my plate so that I could focus on the personal touches that only I could provide. I know my father is pleased as punch at how things turned out. Not only is the venue incredibly beautiful but the staff at everybody up the way I would have. While we had one tiny bump in the road (a miscommunication that inadvertently left something out of the casket). That issue only brought them from 5+++ stars to 5++. Each staff member and subcontractor was unfailingly kind, thoughtful and went way above and beyond to provide stellar service. We had a very early funeral and burial. Our limo driver, Bob, was kind enough to have bagels and drinks waiting for us during the commute. It's these small details that make all the difference. I can't say enough good things about Branch of Miller Place. We will never use any other funeral home. read more

I recently lost a dear family member. Unfortunately I live 2 hours away in NYC. When I couldn't reach her, I drove out and found her passed. I had just spoken with her the day before. Anyway, not knowing the area, the police (I called 911 when I found her) suggested Branch when I told him I didn't know who to call. Bless that officer. The people at Branch were kind, respectful and very helpful at a time of grief and upheaval. We ended up opting for cremation with a funeral mass to follow. Paul Vigilante is a very caring warm gentleman. He made a very difficult time easier for me to make arrangements for my mother's funeral words I'd never thought I'd say possible. The funeral was beautiful from the place itself to the rooms they have are exquisitely beautiful Everyone of the staff was just so gentle and kind every step of the way I was able to stay within a comfortable budget and yet have everything I wanted for my Mom which made me feel better They're very acomodating and went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable. From the moment we sat down to start the discussion for arrangements, we felt completely and totally at ease. They took their time to sit down and lay out all of the options, going above and beyond for us. I will forever be grateful to Branch for everything they handled on my behalf. They truly made the vision of my Father's memorial service come to fruition. As an avid motorcycle rider, my Father was even able to take "one final ride" as I like to say, with the use of their motorcycle hearse. Absolutely beautiful building, able to accommodate a large capacity for viewings all the while, still allowing for an intimate setting. We even took advantage of the on-site catering service upstairs for in between viewings. I can not thank them enough for allowing me to experience and grieve those days instead of having to worry about how everything was being handled. My 16 year old cousin passed away suddenly this past week and my Aunt & Uncle chose The Branch Funeral Home in Miller Place. This entire ordeal has been tragic and extremely difficult for my entire family and I must say that the staff at The Branch Funeral Home, from start to finish, went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable & accommodated. They are very caring and considerate & made this terrible experience a little more bearable. I think that we had well over 400+ people come through for just the 1st viewing and it was kept organized and run incredibly well. I could go on and on but sometimes less is more. My mother was very sick and has been going in and out of the hospital so we prepared for the worse and started to look for a funeral home. Among all the funeral homes we went to, Branch Funeral Home in Miller Place was the most accommodating. We talked to the owner himself, which is Paul and he was very nice and helpful in all that we wanted for my mother. Paul and his staff made sure that my mother's stay there was very solemn, accommodated all our wishes. Paul was very approachable and easy to talk to, this is important for a business.
