I signed paperwork with this company 11/2025. Last heard from them 1/2026 stating that I'll no longer be represented because they can't take my case. 5/2026 someone calls to tell me that I need to schedule an appointment that this firm has set up. I'm confused because in 1/2026 I was told that I'm no longer being represented! I talked with their paralegal about what happened. The paralegal schedule a meeting with the attorney so that I can cancel our contract. The attorney called to intimidate me into keeping him as my attorney. He started off by saying he's going to put a lien against me for all of the work he's done. There has been no communication with this attorney since the day I signed my contract. I hired them in hopes of receiving better treatment for my injury. He told me to stop yelling but yet he continued to talk over me. Go ahead and put your lien on me and send over the documents that I requested to cancel. Douche! read more

It's been a month with not treatment and the lack of follow up with me has been extremely upsetting to the point that I wished I never hired them. On their website they advertise as being ethical and sensitive, which is the exact opposite of what I had experienced: I was referred to Jonathan Brand by my chiropractor Dr. Maddox (Pleasanton). I injured my neck at my work and I've been dealing with workman's comp process. Yesterday I came to their office and I was looking for legal advice and had a list of questions. I was not sure if I needed a lawyer, but I figured it would have been smart to have one. I was expecting the same kind of quality customer care that I get from my chiropractor. However, I don't think I ever experienced so much rudeness from one person in my life. I did not meet with Jonathan Brand himself, I met with an associate under him, Micheal Ryan. The full 40 minutes, I felt defensive while I explained my situation. He had the nerve to tell me that it is not worth it for them to take my case they would not make much money off of it. He implied that he wasted 40 minutes with me trying to explain this situation. I received so many papers from worker's comp. I still don't know what is the next step I need to take. I was pretty surprised to read the review from Janet C, as my experience with this practice, specifically with Mr Ryan, could not be more different than the one she described. I called Mr Brand's office after an accident with a city bus, after which I was unable to get the transit company to return my calls or even get an accident report. My case is complicated by the fact that in addition to the personal injury, it was also workers comp due to having been hit in my company car while on the job. At any rate, I have had nothing but compassion and help from everyone in this office, from Mr Brand himself to the receptionist, all have been most helpful as I navigate this situation. In particular, Michael Ryan has always been willing to speak to me, answering my questions and making me feel like someone has my back thru the process. I had a deposition with the transit attorney yesterday and was pretty nervous. Michael met with me to help me prepare for the process, and again immediately before the deposition. He helped me feel comfortable, and assured me that all I needed to do was be honest and answer the questions, assuring me he was there and we could stop and confer at any time. I don't know what Janet's specific experience was, and would never question the perceptions of another, but I can state with complete confidence that this practice has treated me with complete integrity.
