As a couple from New Jersey getting married in Tennessee I had no clue where to even start with the…read moresearch for a photographer to document the biggest day of our lives. Luckily the wedding venue manager had a list of vendors and Rich Smith Photography was one of them. I reached out and instantly hit it off with Rich. He thoroughly explained the process, was very attentive to detail, responded quickly to all my emails, and just made me super comfortable that he would be perfect for the job. I went on his website to learn more and see samples of his work and was thoroughly impressed with not only how he captured beautiful naturally occurring moments in his photography but also how open he was about his background and his family which made me realize he was a good person. We took a trip to Tennessee to view the wedding venue and meet all the vendors and as part of the photography package, Rich offered us an engagement photo session for free. He was accommodating to work that in to the short time we were visiting. This was really helpful in getting to understand his style, and for just learning in general how to have pictures taken of us (which in my opinion is the hardest part). We got more comfortable as time went on and Rich made suggestions and creatively interpreted our ideas. If we were uncomfortable trying something, he didn't push us at all. It had to be tough for him because I hate having photos taken of me but he was so patient. The value you get for your money is just incredible. We added on a photo booth package that will allow our guests to take fun and goofy pictures at the wedding that they get to download after the event. It's not your typical photo booth, it will be an actual photographer that can help give direction in lieu of a machine you work yourself. From the samples Rich sent, guests love participating and look like they have a blast doing so! So far, the pictures from our engagement photo shoot were awesome. He had our photos ready right on time as he promised. Communication was great too: he put our photos online right away and explained the process for downloading them for print and to use for our save the dates. We're so happy with how they turned out. We cannot wait for our wedding day to work with Rich again. I highly recommend having Rich document your special occasions. You will not be disappointed!

My family hired sea and sky productions to film my baby sisters wedding. We had used them in the…read morepast and had been mostly pleased. However this time it was a completely different story. The owner, Tim had been informed and hired of this event ONE year in advance. One month before the wedding he informed us that he would not be available due to a family event. In his place he sent two of his employees. Both of whom did not seem to have the expertise exhibited by Tim. They were not available and were difficult to find at important moments. All of that is fine and was forgotten Until My sister got a call from Tim 3 weeks after her wedding that something had gone missing (not specifying what). He then proceeded to ask for contact information of the vendors and the venue itself. One week later Tim asked to Skype my sister and explained to her what went missing was a hard drive. This hard drive contained the entire footage of my sisters wedding. So basically one of the most important times in her life has no documentation. As a family member I attended this event feeling completely at ease - knowing that it was being recorded by professionals. I wasn't taking cell phone pictures and videos at every turn because I was under the impression that this was handled. What Sea and Sky did was UTTERLY and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Please be warned and do not waste your time hiring them for your event.
