Super bad first impression, thanks to bad front desk. I approached TWICE, with no response from the…read more3 receptionists working other than "someone will be right with you". (Both times) while all three started at their screens. Hmmmm. When I said this is the SECOND time I've been here this morning, (I had to go to tge lobby to find a bathroom, since nobody would speak to me) a blond woman finally offered to check me in. As I turned away there was lots of eye rolling and chatting between the 2 women. Hmmmm. What is their JOB? 2nd time there was not one other person there. No eye contact, just that horrible staring at screen dismissal. Hmmmm. I've been told the docs are great here. So I'll add to this review after I see one. But it was a TERRIBLE first impression. Once the nurse called me back (about 40 minutes after arriving), things were better. They did X-rays promptly, and the PA. who saw me was very nice. She gave good advice about a steroid shot, and agreed that oral steroids might be better, since I'm a musician with a long show today. No advice on PT., only solution was surgery, which was something we agreed won't work for me. If management would fix the front desk problem I could give this place a better review.

Everything I've been reading from other posts are the same as I have experienced. Staring at comp. screen, not acknowledging you, etc. This is a minor thing compared to what I have an issue with. I had 2 appts scheduled for Mon (12/8/25) with prob estimated an hour between the two. I got there a half hour before my appt bc they needed "prep time" for me before the MRI. My second appointment was supposed to be with Dr. Glattes to discuss the MRI. Come to find out they kicked me off the schedule for the MRI because they didn't get pre-certification from BCBS. So they asked me if I could wait until 8 o'clock for the person to come into work to do the pre-CERT. I said yes, as long as we could get it done before my appointment with Dr. Glattes because that's the whole reason I'm here. They said there should be plenty of time. The person they were speaking of, gets there supposedly at 8 AM, and at 8:30 I went up to check on status and they checked computer bc they sent a message to the back and that person had not received anything back from BCBS and "they are gonna keep trying, but it was a Monday, and they don't cooperate as well on Monday," he said. It all ended with me leaving because they couldn't get the pre-certification and get the MRI done that day so that I could talk with Dr. Glattes. Not only did I take off work and have these appts appointment two months in advance, but I also missed out on regular pay plus overtime (I don't have PTO and I drove from North Dickson) Then they call me back today (2 days later, Wed 12/10) and first thing she asks is for me to verify with my birthday and I ask what this is regarding and she says "pre-certification for the MRI" OMG they still haven't done the pre-CERT!!?? Why didn't this take place weeks before I even got to my appointment? My deductible is paid up for the year and I'm not gonna be able to get back in before the first. I don't know if I will come back even though Dr. Glattes is fabulous. (Prior surgery) I can find a better operating office, that doesn't waste my time. Maybe they are too big and don't have enough staff not sure, and not my department! 2 stars because Dr Glattes is great.

By this point, it's 4:10...over an hour and a half after my appointment time. -Dr. Liddle was wonderful, he was friendly, made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me in a way I could understand as well as throughly discuss my treatment plan with me. My follow up appointment is going to be at his Mt Juliet office, first thing in the morning, so hopefully they won't be running behind and I'll be able to get on with my day!

Common practice for micro fracture surgery is the patient not to have weight bearing for 4-6 weeks after surgery. Elrod had me walking right after surgery. I walked out of the hospital! Three months after surgery he tells me I can start running again. Common time table for returning to impact activities is around the 7-8 month mark, sometimes longer. I complained about the lack of progress during care. Not once did I see Elrod after the surgery. Only a nurse practitioner. His recommendation was more Euflexxa injections, which are a complete waste of money. Elrod charges $125 per shot. What they don't tell you is your insurance covers the actual shot 100%and the $125 "copay" you are paying is for the office visit, not the shot. Other doctors do not charge for the visit. Call your insurance to find out. The therapy department is overbooked. I even tried going during their "down times". Usually 4 patients to one physical therapist. Even then the actually therapist isn't helping you most of the time. The assistants do most of the work. Don't waste your time "moving upstairs" to their branch of physical therapy/personal training (MPower). It's a giant money trap and the therapy you receive is worse. I was a very active 30 year old male before surgery, now I'm being told by other doctors I'll be doing good if I can lightly jog on a treadmill ever again. Dr. Elrod and his practice have completely ruined my physical lifestyle for well over a year now, and quite possibly for the rest of my life. I just pray my knee completely heals. If you care about your wellbeing then do not go to Dr. Elrod, because he certainly doesn't care.

My first visit with Dr. George rubbed me the wrong way. Before even poking her head through the door, she asked "how are you doing today sir". Well, I'm a woman with what some people would consider a man's name. I was also grossed out that the tables do not have paper on them for cleanliness and no disinfectant to clean between patients. She looked at my x-rays and moved my leg around stating she heard a pop...I didn't hear one. She ordered me an MRI at TOA's location in Nashville stating it'd be a quicker turnaround. Upon returning after my MRI result, she told me I had a torn meniscus and needed surgery, as it would not heal itself. No other remedies. She explained things so quickly, I was lost. I did have the surgery soon after. I was told to book physical therapy right away. So after one week, I went to pt and have regretted it since. Whether the surgery did or did not work, I don't know. Ever since that one pt appointment, I've been in pain. I mentioned it on follow-ups with Dr. George who told me it takes time to heal. Well, it's a year later and it appears another surgery (with a different surgeon who has tried other options first) is in my near future.
