We had a somewhat limited time frame to get the work done, and though it was short of notice, and they are located two towns and more than 30 miles over, Brown's Septic accommodated us more quickly, and gave a better quote than the other available options. Under the current difficult times, and with a lack of effort being made by so many to fight for our Country's freedoms and economy, I was very happy to see that Mr. Brown is standing up for the right of his business and many others to keep going and provide for their families. And while I was remiss at writing a review after our initial servicing, my husband and I are more than willing to go out of our way to give them the support and evaluation they've worked so hard to earn. I didn't know one septic service from another; however, my plumber friend mentioned Brown's service. I not only love supporting a Mom and Pop family run business, but I was so happy to discover what wonderful people they are! I had the pleasure of meeting Keith Brown (owner) at my house the day of service. What a gracious, respectful man; moreover, it's reassuring to meet someone so devoted to their family. You immediately realize that he is a man who walks in gratitude and love for people. I knew even before he left that I couldn't imagine using any other service for this. I can't imagine why anyone would write a bad review about these people, as I've seen some on some of the review sites?? Many of the reviews oddly, had political overtones within them... as if to accuse another of something other than the related service? Firstly, what does a political belief (which we all have) have anything to do with running a septic service? Who are you people who are bringing into a septic review, some kind of personal wall or agenda... seemingly to do personal harm to a beautiful family who works very hard and earns everything they've earned. It sounds to me like some very ignorant people, stumbling over their egos and nasty, false belief systems. To receive a roll-off dumpster you have to get on a wait list where if you don't answer the phone…read moreright away whenever they decide to call or you lose your spot. They never provide any for of paperwork until a bill shows up in the mail that has no information as to how to pay. You must call to schedule a pickup or they will charge $5 a day past 2 weeks. This is apparently something they tell you, have nowhere in writing, and when disputed I was told "we don't work with contracts, we do business on honor.' I asked how they claimed any legal requirement for these services and the phone operator stated 'contracts are meant to be broken'. So I'll be paying $70 for a verbal agreement I never heard, will have to be dropping a check off in person in the office, and now be responsible for them reclaiming their equipment in a timely fashion.

I called their number to pay the invoice and I was told there's an additional tax, hidden fee of $21 for paying with check or money order and the amount on the invoice is for paying with cash only. The driver never mentioned the invoice was cash price or the additional charge neither did the receptionist when I requested service. That's the most expensive credit card fee or "additional tax" I have ever paid anywhere. Serrano won't get another chance to fleece me, I will take my business elsewhere.

I called Bond for a quote on a house that I am in the process of purchasing. While I received a…read morecall back from a manager or owner fairly quickly, he introduced himself as Valverde rather than Bond. I don't recall phoning Valverde, thus confusion regarding what type of service provider was calling, as I have made many calls to a few types of repair people for multiple quotes. When I asked for clarity, the person on the other end of the line was rude in response... within the first 10 seconds. Ok, I'll let that slide--maybe he hasn't had his coffee yet. During the call, as we were discussing the replacement of kitec plumbing--a well documented safety risk with a class-action lawsuit that makes homes uninsurable--the owner was rude in tone. I got the impression that our phone call was annoying to him, and he likely thinks I am stupid. He asserts that the recalled plumbing is fine unless visibly leaking and "its basic" to tell if it leaks. This information is demonstrably FALSE as documented clearly in the class action suit. I let him go mid call. Not only is he rude, but misinforming a potential customer in a negligent manner. Hopefully his license covers negligence, as he might need it. If I am going to give someone tens of thousands of dollars to do work in my home, it is reasonable to expect a basic level of respect during the first phone call (and beyond). After speaking to the presumed owner, I feel bad for whomever the nice secretary is. She must be on the receiving end of his customer service skills all day. I will never call this company again.
