It's been great to not have staff turnover and consistent caregivers that I have grown to know and trust. It definitely has a homier, more family feel. Which I think is rare and I much prefer! In the cruel and highly unprofessional termination letter they snuck in our daughter's lunch box, among many other things, they said "How can you expect us to take care of your kids, when you don't?" This was even though we picked up our children and took them to the doctor, whenever they told us to. Almost always our children wouldn't have temperatures when we got home and this led us to ask questions because, as two working parents, this was affecting our livelihood. They also had us send our son to the pediatrician because they said he had thrush, but his pediatrician said it was just food on the roof of his mouth. They didn't like the doctor's finding and didn't trust the pediatrician's office anymore. Furthermore, they told our 3 year old daughter, who has asthmatic issues and frequently gets sick, that she got everyone at daycare sick, then they told us they didn't say that to her, but then told us she did get everyone sick after they gave us our termination letter. Finally, they terminated us knowing we both have full time jobs, no other daycare options, and another very complex, special needs child at home to take care of. Daycare is hard to come by, but unless you're ok with not being allowed to have an opinion and sending your children to passive aggressive, judgemental employees who can never be wrong, I wouldn't recommend this daycare.

Consequences for incidents were immediate isolation strapped in a high chair for time out. We made a switch new a new daycare and after two months there has only been one incident. My child comes home happier and excited to talk about the day.

She was also well prepared for kindergarten this year. With my older daughter, we used another daycare in the area that was a constant source of stress for us - owner was late to open, consistently over ratio, revolving door of staff. Not at Bambinos. Everything with Bambinos has been professional and caring. Miss Donna, the owner, is a very lovely woman with a huge heart. We unexpectedly came into a bind for before and after care (and afternoon care for my 1/2 day kindergarten daughter) a week or so before school started this year. One call to Miss Donna and our problems were solved. The staff here really and truly love and care about the kids. One of our children was ill this week, and they took such good care of her until we could leave our jobs from downtown and come pick her up. They provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks. This is a relief to working parents that need one less thing to remember to do in the morning. The pre-k program had an adorable graduation. They also put on a Christmas program with the kids that will just melt your heart. The center is always neat and orderly. There are a wide variety of toys for the kids to play with, and they are always engaged in art and other activities. I cannot recommend Bambinos enough to any family looking for childcare in the South Fayette/Bridgeville area.

We've been here since last May so I wanted to wait a full year before I reviewed them. In the early…read moredays I was very back and forth on if I liked them. My main complaint, which is absolutely still the case, is communication. We don't really hear many updates via email, even important ones like staff changes. We definitely got the email about the rates going up though! I'm still not sure why daycare is so expensive considering they don't pay their workers a living wage, which truly does make me sad. Most of the teachers have been great! There's a couple who I really loved and a couple who were less communicative and so I felt less comfortable with them. I clearly appreciate good communication. They're on the remind app, so that's good IF you get a teacher in your classroom who's good at sending you updates and messages, I do feel like it should be a requirement for every teacher to be active on here. I get their main job is to watch the kids, but radio silence for important things (like your kid getting bit) would be nice to know about. For those of you who are high tech there's no video feed or daily pics. I get the occasional group pic, but that's it. I do feel bad their outdoor play area seems so sad and barren. The sun beats down on it during the day which I don't think is good for teachers and kids. They claimed to be updating it this summer but so far I have seen nothing updated. The classrooms seem clean-ish. I feel like it's probably an uphill battle with dirty little kids, but it is by no means pristine or even well organized looking. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you're SUPER particular about the things I've mentioned this might not be the daycare for you. I will say I do at this point feel he's safe while he's there. I appreciate some of the very kind teachers who I felt truly cared for my son. I wish the communication would get better and the outdoor play area would be improved, but overall I'm okay with him being here. Sometimes I feel like if you're not rich and can't pay top dollar for fancy daycares, you have to weigh the good and bad for the more "affordable" options.
