My toddler is always smiling on drop off with Janelle and Tracy. I have a demanding career in healthcare (what a time!!), and I know everyday they are so well taken care of and loved! The kids are thriving and LOVE coming to school. They are also so tired at the end of the day from the physical and educational stimulation that they sleep 12 hours straight (always helps!). I guess the only negative would be that the location might not be convenient for the work from home'rs, but I would recommend all my friends to this childcare without any hesitation, esp if it is convenient! I don't even like calling them employees because they are truly like a 2nd or 3rd mother to my kiddo. He asks when he's going to school every single day, there has NEVER been a day where he asked to stay home or didn't want to go. To me, this is the most important sign of a center that takes care of their kids like their own. The location is so deceiving when driving by, but the owner takes SUCH good care of the place, it truly feels more like a home. I have an older child who's been through 3 different centers and there is a clear difference of care from our past experiences. From the celebrations, decorations, the plants, the play area, the crafts, the gifts made, down to what they are taught is so thought in detail. I've seen the owner decide one day that one of the rooms wasn't bright and she didn't like the color any longer and decided to paint it over the weekend. She is always improving the place and it is CLEAR it is well taken care of. My son runs to his teachers every morning and gives them big hugs and even on the weekends he's asking if they miss him as much as he misses them each of his teachers have been so sweet and I'm so thankful for them. In hindsight, he didn't need academic structure and rigor at age 4, he needed to feel secure, cared for and loved....knowing what I know now, I would have had him sent him to Milestones for one year of PreK while his little brother was in the 18 mo old group. We get both daily and weekly reports to let us know how things are going and what supplies they may need. Although our daughter is only 9 months old I can see daily that she is learning things from her caregivers that I know I am not teaching her at home. Outside of her regular room teachers there are sometimes other staff members during pick up times. Although they may not be familiar with her whole day they do their best to communicate any necessary items effectively. I know it is a difficult decision to select a daycare provider for your child however I would recommend them highly based on our experience.
