    Mussels amazing white sauce

Great fresh seafood and service. The mussels sauce is to die for I wanted a bottle to take home. Great wine selection and prices. Scottish salmon cooked on point but large portions so I would definitely get the mussels and maybe share a main course.

We had souris d'agneau (slow cooked, incredibly tender lamb) with potatoes and mushrooms. It was wonderful! Service was excellent too.

We were lucky to get a table here! 8:30 on a Monday evening and the place was hopping with contented couples and celebratory business diners. All I can say is order the Moule Frites! The broth is heavenly, and the portions generous. The pumpkin ravioli was sweet and perfectly tender; the Irish lamb shank was incredible, sweet, complex, and fell right off the bone. The whole staff, while still French in attitude, was swift, friendly, accommodating, kind, and impeccable. We were sad that this was our last night in Geneva -- we will certainly return here on our next visit, and bring our family and friends!

Arrived here for a late lunch and sat inside. They were busy but prompt. Great atmosphere, delicious food and reasonable portions Friendly servers. Good prices. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Geneva

I've lunched at Lipp twice now and find they have incredibly fresh seafood and interesting Swiss, French and German influenced dishes. I would certainly recommend it for a business lunch. It's relatively expensive, but just about everything in Geneva tilts toward the expensive side. The service is prompt. Not exactly brusque, but perhaps not so indulgent as to spend much time explaining the dishes in detail. The staff speaks both English and French as most of the service industry in the city. In two outings, I can say I would happily return for a third round.

Super spot for seafood. Expansive restaurant with reasonable prices, good service, and good food. The cold appetizer seafood platter was a lot of fun and the oysters on the half shell were delicious. Note that this place is on the second floor inside the shopping plaza, and not really signed from the street... wasn't intuitive finding it.

This place was recommended to us by many people in Geneva. We were lucky enough to secure an outside table on a beautiful evening. It was the perfect way to end our Geneva trip. The wine list has a nice variety, so we ordered Bordeaux blend with dinner and it was great. We had enjoyed happy hour before arriving. So, we only ordered mussels for an appetizer. The mussels were served in a delicious broth and were cooked to perfection. The bread provided to us was perfect to dip into the broth. For our meals, I ordered the white fish, which was cooked to my liking and served with just the right amount of lemon. Other entrees ordered were duck breast, shrimp, and grilled beef filet. The shrimp were whole, so my friend didn't really enjoy removing the head and tail of each shrimp. Everything was very flavorful and presented well. The sides were warmed using tea lights, which was a nice touch. The portions provided just the right amount of food, leaving you feeling satisfied. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake. It was warm, gooey, and delicious! My husband ordered a Mille-Feuille dessert, which he devoured. The pastry cream between the layers was great! As stated by other reviewers, the restaurant is a little pricey. But, the service and quality of the food warrant the price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

By far one of my favorite places to eat in Geneva. The service is great, the food is excellent, and the wine is amazing. Had dinner here three of the six nights I was in Geneva. By far the best dish is the quenelle. The quenelle sauce is so savory. Finished every meal with the Coup Williams, which is a Pear Sorbet with Pear Schnapps poured over the top. Best to book reservations.

My boyfriend and I ordered 800 grams of mussels for 40 chf. The wait staff happily continued to bring more bread as we needed it. The mussels were the best I've ever eaten! They were boiling in a white wine cheese sauce that was the most delicious I've ever tasted! I can't even explain... they were so good. 80 grams was more than enough for us, and they were awesome and set up a stand with a fire underneath so the muscles were constantly hot. oh my gosh. I wish I could give them 10 stars alone for their mussels. They were SO GOOD. I admit other things on the menu are over priced, but I'd come back every week for those mussels. Holy crap. So good.

Delicious food and so many choices. I was blown away by this restaurant. I didn't expect to be so impressed. Great food. Great selection. Great variety. Great service. Classy clientele. Great location in an upscale area in the center of town. I had the escargot as a shared appetizer. Delicious. Classic. Traditional escargot and exceptionally scrumptious. I was dipping bread into the remaining sauce bc it was just too good. I also shared a tuna sashimi appetizer. Of all of our meal selections, this was my least favorite. They attempted to overdo the seasoning. It might have just been better as simple tuna with soy. I wouldn't order this again. I ordered the scallop entrée. Absolutely exceptional. Fresh. Perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that I could have eaten more ;) I believe it came with five smaller sized scallops. My table also ordered the lamb dish. I was told it was exceptional and the meat fell off the bone. It arrived in a covered metal pot. Neat presentation. For dessert I had the meringue floating islands with caramel. OMG. Delicious. Unique. Just thinking of it again now is making my mouth water. Only cons: 1. Nowhere to hang out and have a cocktail before dinner. 2. So popular that you cannot walk in without a reservation. 3. Very expensive (appetizers were $25 and entrées were $45-- on average). I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Geneva. Very impressed.

I'm totally feelin this spot…read more Why? In the 4 - 8pm hours, while other people are drinking at Geneva establishments that have have great beer/wine/cocktails...there is something always missing. Music. This spot, however, pumps chill-yet-soulful tracks during the late afternoon hours...add the industrial feel/European waterway/traditional surrounding architecture...man, this place is fuckin money. Drinking red wine with a fine Italian, French, German honey, outside, by the artsy decommissioned funicular cars and you'll know youz at a straight-up baby-makin joint. Merci, Brasserie Des Halles De L'ile. Merci.

I've walked by this structure every day on my way to and from work for two months without ever…read morestopping to wonder if it had a function. It's one of those iconic buildings that just become part of the scenery of a city. Well, it turns out that it's a restaurant/lounge, and one of the "in" places to go for drinks after work. The decor reminded me of Brooklyn or the Meat Packing District in New York, with a lot of exposed cement and pipes across the ceiling. The building must have been a loading dock or something, and they've basically hollowed out the place, set up tables and a bar, and jacked up the value of the old building. The long hall is divided between a dining area and drinking area. An island bar runs across the center of the narrow hall in the drinking portion of the building, leaving very little room on each side. I tend to spend most of my time either pressed against the window or dodging passers-by trying to make it to the other end of the bar. It's crowded, I've heard the food is mediocre on its best days, it's pricey, the music gets really loud as the night progresses, and they have maybe two red wines on the menu. But there's something about walking across a bridge to get to a bar that sits in the center of a European river that I find appealing. There are also old ferris wheel cars that have been converted into tables in the terrace area. A good go-to place when you're gathering people from both sides of the river, as this is dead center!
