In a dream world, where I'm rolling in cash and live somewhere more spacious than my studio apartment, that carousel horse would have been mine. We ended up buying a beer stein featuring the Constitution for Jeremy's very highly republican father. The owner agreed to ship it to North Dakota for us, too, for a fee, of course. And I bought two pieces of pink depression glass for $15 apiece. I had a delightful time wandering the store and discovering really weird, or really lovely objects. Once the items were in his possession, he became vague and cagey about what items had actually sold. When pressed, he did state that some books had sold, but that he could not send a commission check immediately because he had bills to pay, despite agreeing that he owed us the funds. We finally received a small check, but never received any type of account detailing what was sold. After many months, we asked for a status update of the remaining items and all we received was a text message stating that they had been donated as they did not sell. Please beware when dealing with this individual.
