After spending time and money elsewhere without getting an answer, I brought it to Nichols. Mike, the owner, actually sat down with me and took the time to listen to what had been going on with the car and my concerns. They were able to isolate the problem and, surprisingly, it turned out to be a software update. They fixed the issue, took care of a new set of brake pads while it was there, and kept me informed throughout the process. What impressed me most was the combination of knowledge, communication, and honesty. There was no guessing and no trying to sell me repairs I didn't need. They figured out what two other shops couldn't and fixed it correctly. He also told us the car wasn't leaving but on a wrecker. He never bothered to tell us the battery was dead. Had to jump the battery on Saturday, rented a car dolly and towed it home. We found a reman pump for just over $100, changed it ourselves, the car runs now and we saved $1300. He also fussed about my granddaughter running out of gas. She didn't run out.
