UPDATE TO PREVIOUS Originally I gave 2 out of 5 stars…read moreI'm moving to 4 out of 5 based on most recent interactions and the business taking ownership for their disconnect in communication. Brennan who I spoke with originally had told me to bring my vehicle in to be looked at due to the media display not working and if it happens to be the chord the cost of labor would be rolled over into other jobs. I needed tires and alignment so I was ok with this. Unfortunately Brennan was out when the job was performed and the marching orders weren't carried over. I was charged. They did end up canceling the bill due to the miscommunication. When I did end up getting my tires and alignment done there that same month, their all in process was supposed to be $889, but it was actually $1012. That is when i decided to write my initial post. That said, my truck has been shaking. I thought it was due to the alignment and balancing that had just been performed. They said my truck needs new axles, but because this is a known issue, it may soon become a recall on my vehicle. They are taking care of it for me, along with another part that is on recall for my vehicle, free of charge. Brennan sincerely apologized for the did disconnect from previous, and how marching orders weren't carried down the line as relayed to me, the customer. Even in my original post, I said I want to like them, and they do good work. Despite my frustration at the time, I still didn't short them on being good people and performing good work. My issues were based on what was verbalized to me, versus what was charged to me. The call and experience has significantly improved my reassessment. I'm still not at 5 stars. I still had to endure these headaches. But I'm hoping this is all in the past and all my future experiences were like my past experiences, barring this one month of trials and tribulations. I expected a 3% from a corner garage that's trying to make ends meet but not a Kennedy dealership. It seems very petty especially on a service bill that was over $2,000. Also, the owners manual suggests changing the oil every 10,000 miles. Their windshield sticker suggests changing oil at 5,000 miles. That's $237 per oil change. Big difference for a working man. An overall unpleasant experience with their service department based primarily on greedy nickel and dime charges to their customers.

We went to Battaglia yesterday and I let my mom do all the talking, she told them what she was looking for, what her price range was and when I tell you every single person in there was walking in and out of the room asking questions to make sure they fully understood what it was she wanted/didn't want... made sure they didn't go over her price range... pulling 4/5/6 cars out of the lot for her to test drive... she finally found the car she LOVED... They gave her an amazing price for it and gave her a lot more for her trade then other places we went to. We left there and she couldn't stop smiling because not only did she feel like she did it "herself" but she felt like she was treated like a human, she left knowing she wasn't ripped off and even more so, she left with the car she LOVED. Mayer Motors is locally owned and a small business at heart. From my understanding Nick (Owner) comes from a Mechanic/Machinist and Sales Background. Along with a passion for Automotive Racing. Unlike other "used car sales" these individuals provide insight and seek to find quality used vehicles in a very tough and competitive market, with small profit margins. Mayer Motors can be best described as a "family friend", keeping to some degree your best interest at heart. While this is still a business, driving by profit margins, I have seen them go up and try to make things RIGHT. Striving for strong Customer Service. In addition, I would trust my daughter or wife to shop there independently after doing their OWN RESEARCH. This research should consist of vehicles known issues, reliability ratings and proper inspection of the car itself. This is IMPERATIVE with ANY car purchase (Used or New). The vehicles are serviced and inspected. Working in conjunction w/ many other local small businesses such as J&H Automotive and Creamery Tires. What SEPERATES Mayer Motors from other competitors is the majority of their Vehicles offered are typically (1) Owner, Clean CarFax, w/ adequate maintenance history. While not all cars are up to the same quality, they offer the best used cars I have seen around. Some reviews I have read are mixed, while I do not agree with them, I can appreciate some frustration with any vehicle purchase. Keep in mind, as a consumer it is your responsibility to look at every vehicle. Some vehicles have been maintained better than others, w/ the goal to find the "diamond in the ruff".
