Then when they found out I was about to switch cardiologist they immediately said I was no longer a patient and almost refused to answer a question about a medicine they had prescribed I had to press hard. Then the cd of the images that I had requested ( they charge 30 dollars to give them to me they had already charged something for the paper reports - red flag ! ) would not work at the new doctor and when I called to ask for help they basically said it was not their problem thats what they had. When I pressed harder they said the office manager would give me a call 'hopefully' today then they hung up on me then the Dr herself called and yelled at me not listening to what I was saying and telling me to stop harassing her staff. I was given NO notice of any kind! Why would I set an appointment if I had been dropped? I was shocked and did not know why. Their answer was pathetic. Bottom line is if you dare think of your self and question things that goes against their totalitarian way, you're gone. Also, they're terrible about returning calls in a timely manner. Dr. Rosen is very caring, very good about returning phone calls if there is an emergency or a question, even if it is after hours and he is paged. When my mother recently had a problem with spiking BP, Dr. Rosen actually called Mother back from a Magic game. He has never failed to be cordial, concerned, and compassionate. All messages are promptly and courteously relayed. The receptionist is often the first line of communication, and if he/she is not reliable, no matter how good the doctor is, it complicates things for the patient and can often result in unnecessary frustration for both patient and physician. Both Mari and Stephanie are GREAT. The only downside is that Dr. Rosen relies on hospitalists if one of his patients is hospitalized. However, that has no reflection on Dr. Rosen's abilites as an excellent, very compassionate doctor, but the use of hospitalists to care for patients is not, in my opinion, to the patient's advantage. I wish that Dr. Rosen had hospital privileges so that if my parents were ever hospitalized, he would be able to be the one to directly oversee their care. I highly recommend Dr. Rosen.
