Her instructor gave her some space to feel out the class- the environment, the people, and before I knew it, she was engaging in some of the movements. It was perfect. There were some really creative ways to get kids moving- I was particularly fond of hearing the mix of different music ensembles and the rope lights on the floor. I danced for 16 years myself and it makes me want to embrace that part of me I thought I lost long ago with an adult class as well.

Having a boy that dances unfortunately isn't common and can make it difficult to feel welcome in a dance studio. The staff and owners at Studio 9 are truly the best! He takes tap, ballet and hip hop classes along with a boys only ballet class!! This has allowed our son to grow as a dancer and learn partnering. He loves the teacher which is great because keeping a group of young boys moving isn't easy! He recently performed in his first show at Studio 9 and it was a first class production.
