They do not stock up the hot plate so you often have to wait but you know it is going to be freshly cooked. They have a good range of pizza, these have a thin crust which I prefer. Battered haddock: Easily the best fish & chips I've ever eaten, beating out places I've tried in both London and Australia. The batter was super crispy and non-greasy, the fish was thick and meaty, and the chips were cut to perfection. Mushy peas: not quite steamed peas, but not quite pea soup either. I liked them, though they felt a bit heavy for May and seem better suited for winter. Haggis: If you're sensitive to gamey flavors, run away from it. It was rich and deeply gamey, coated in a light batter. It came with homemade beetroot ketchup, apparently a UK staple, which complemented it nicely. Pickled onions: The only letdown of the meal.
