I liked them, though they felt a bit heavy for May and seem better suited for winter. Haggis: If you're sensitive to gamey flavors, run away from it. It was rich and deeply gamey, coated in a light batter. It came with homemade beetroot ketchup, apparently a UK staple, which complemented it nicely. Pickled onions: The only letdown of the meal. The chips were fine but no flavor so I needed to add salt. The plus was the vegan tartar, which tasted quite good. And of course, I added vinegar. But I was bummed that the ketchup and mayo was in little Heinz packets instead of bottles. This is so unnecessarily wasteful and also kind of a pain to constantly be opening and squeezing them.
