We were in the mood for pasta and a good steak so we thought we would stay even though the wait was 55 minutes. We gave our phone number and and went to a sports bar nearby to grab a pint and watch a game that was on. We returned after 50 minutes and waited another 30 minutes before we were finally seated. My husband got the pasta fra diavolo. The spicy pasta. I got a small filet medium that came with mashed potatoes and some green beans. It was pretty decent. My husband thought the pasta would have some more spice so he asked for red pepper flakes. The server was very attentive and did a great job. Wish I remembered his name. I held a party in the banquet room for 40 people and can't say enough About the service I received from the manager Lisa and the 2 waitresses that took care of us. Lisa accommodated me for every request and went out if her way to take care of us. The room look beautiful ( they allowed us to being in our own flowers and decorations) and we never felt rushed! We go to Bravo fairly often. Lately the takeout/curbside service has been pretty bad. Just the other day we ordered dinner for four. When I got there at the time instructed they were about 20 minutes late. Then they brought out food of which we were given a pizza (not ordered), and two things were not with order. The girl said well that was what is on the order. I said well I ordered and I did not order that. She said ok I will be back. 15 minutes later she comes back and has one of the missing items and still no adjustment on bill. She leaves and then another 15 minutes go by she comes out and says "I thought you left". I have not even signed for the order yet. So the bill was adjusted finally and I left without one of the items completely frustrated. They need to get it together!!! read more

Nobody in my family likes to eat out w/me because there is always something wrong w/my food. I'm sure it has to do w/my insecurities, (nothing is good enough) but tonight my wife and I came to Bravo to unwind the week. She was the one to suggest the restaurant for once so...I'm in. The best medium rare fillet I have ever had in my life was waiting for me. I know you're probably thinking if a franchise restaurant steak is the best I've ever had, I don't get out much. Well it may be true, I would like to get out a lot more. To start my career of wanting to be " always pleased" takes me back to the 80s when I worked at the most expensive country club Atlanta. After that a nice four-star restaurant in Roswell called Carbo's café. I know I'm ranting so I will end with this. Great food but terribly slow service. Was so slow they gave us a free desert to go, but took over 10 minutes to get to us so we got up and left. My hubby and I went last night for our 2nd anniversary. Our waitress was very business like instead of overly friendly. Nothing to complain about there - but when we looked at our menu - my 2 favorite things had been removed from the choices. Oy! She was able to have the chef create a Diavolo dish for me...but why oh why is it gone from the menu? Then the thing we came for - Creme Brulee - yum! Just had a meal at Bravo! On Father's Day. I don't know what has happened, but this is the fourth time we have received horrible service and mediocre food. Arrived at 5:20, with a reservation, seated and server acknowledged us. Took our drink orders, water, and received them promptly as well as bread. So far so good. Took our food order. It's now 5:35. Salads took 15 min to come. 6:20, finally decided to ask about our food. 6:30, finally came. We have noticed the last few times that the menu (food) was not what it use to be. My husband ordered gluten free pasta woozie, very, very dry. No sauce. Asked for more sauce. Never got it. I had their new, supposedly family recipe of spaghetti bolognese. Here again, very dry with little sauce, actually no sauce. Asked for a manager, but he never came either. He was too busy putting out fires at other tables. Finally asked for our bill and left at 7:00. We have been loyal Bravo customers for over 15 years but no more. We even noticed dirty floors under tables, tables not cleaned off in a timely manner. I was in town yesterday shopping with a friend. We always pick a nice place to eat and relax after a long day on our feet shopping. We decided to treat ourselves to some Italian cuisine. It had been a long time since I ate at a Bravo and after this visit, I am definitely going to have to frequent it more often. The food and service were great...I love the bread with the dipping oil! It was pretty cool when the executive chef stopped by our table...I appreciate restaurants who care enough to engage with customers when things are good and not just when they have to because of a complaint. Went to Bravo at 8 pm for dinner with family. Was seated promptly. That was the only positive I found at this location. Service was mediocre at best. Alternated between servers, neither bothered to show up to check on us while we were eating. Took nearly 30 min beteeen the time we finished and the time we received the bill. Has this place been bought out or have accountants been ruining them?? I am so sadden, got a terrible meal. Not that I got a terrible meal, but Bravo has always been a dependable place to get a meal above average in Dayton, no more. You go into the place and have to stand around for 5 or more minutes just to get acknowledged at the front. The woman for the front runs between that task and what appears to be taking orders on the phone across to the other side. In fact the mother with her kids that were before us ventured out into the restaurant after awhile to find someone, anyone. She was dressed so much better than the staff one of the diners assumed she was a worker, I guess these people needed help and had been left waiting. We finally get seated. That is another strange thing, the staff at "old" Bravo always were professionally dressed, these had wrinkled shirts, sloppy shoes, sloppy miskept hair and they just looked liked they "might" be more suitable for the Hasty Tasty on Linden, no offence to the Hasty Tasty! I mean if I had their job I would want to dress up more and give some assurance to those I wait on that I care about where I work and the customers. I have not been there for a while to eat. But it couldn't be more different we were there at 2:30 and there might have been 4 other tables with diners, that is it. I have never been in Bravo at any time that I didn't have to wait a bit, because the place was filled up. I got my usual items, so I know what it should be. They have scaled down their menus and also have changed some items to have more American sounding titles, so you are guessing if it is the same dish. Like I always get a wonderful salad that is called Insalata Della Casa, well the waitress said they call it House Salad now. Well it wasn't the same, the dressing was weak in flavor, it does have the crispy strips that were always so good, and there is now chopped up tomatoes. That isn't the worst thing possible, but the lettuce is now chopped up into little bits and it is way wilted. They used to bring this to you in a chilled bowl and it was always so fresh and crisp. Now it is warm on a plate, not even the same plates, etc. I get the Chicken Marsala. It used to be you could get one piece of chicken breast for around $12.99, ?, and two I think for around $17.99. Now you are told you can only get two and it is $19.99. I thought okay two sounds good. Well what you get is basically one cut into two slices. It gets worst. The green beans are loaded with course salt, that is like grit in your teeth. The chicken, its sauce and mushrooms are so salty you can barely eat it, my mouth and lips are still salt dry, and I didn't eat much. This is the odd thing, both the mushrooms and chicken had the same off putting favor, either they were on the verge of going bad, but it was musky tasting. I wondered if they are maybe, ?, packing the food into vacuum packs in a processing plant and shipping them to the restaurants and that is why the mushrooms and chicken had this same disturbing taste. The waitress claimed the salad was the same as always was and the "chef" claimed my food wasn't salty, but my son had tasted it and told him it was salty. They should not doubt you openly, and I am not one to complain ever. And the bread and oil sauce was sad. Like I said I am sad to lose a good restaurant. read more

I am giving a one star because over the last four times in the last several months and I've been there the service has been absolutely horrible. Tonight however our service outside was absolutely great. However that doesn't make up for the difference of the poor service in the past or the slow service tonight (not our servers fault) There was only one bartender and it was a very busy night because there is an outside concert. There were five tables open outside but only one person to clean them off so we had to wait 45 minutes as we looked at five open tables. The food was not very good. They were out of olives for the martinis and out of the wine that I was drinking. Keep in mind this is a fourth time we have been there over the past couple months. The servers and managers there in the past were absolutely clueless. We complained and they did absolutely nothing about any of our complaints. I don't know what is going on with bravo but they better get it together because I will never go back there again and I know others that feel the same way. read more

Went to Bravo last night for the first time in awhile. I couldn't find what I used to order so our waitress asked me to describe it and she said she would try to get it for me. I said it would be OK I would just have something else but she said she would at least try. My wife ordered the pork chop and I went with my special order Scampi. Not only did they try to get my order the way I wanted it the manager came out and told me he was trying to find what I wanted on the internet. They not only made my order as close to what I described, when he found it online he made me one to go at no charge. My wife's pork chop was great,and both my dinner's were great. Last night was my first time going to Bravo. I went with a group of five friends. The portion sizes are small, and expensive. Which I could have dealt with, but two of my friends and I got the same entree and realized it didn't taste good. Something was off, maybe the noodles or chicken was not cooked all the way. All night my friend and I felt sick and I woke up this morning feeling as if I have food poisoning. I tried my other friends' entrees as well and it was not good quality food. We got the pasta woozie and pizza. Overall, I do not think I will ever be going back there. For the prices and making three people sick, I wish I could say we at least had good service. For it being a nice restaurant, the service was not very good. We had reservations and had to wait ten minutes after our reservation to be seated. The waitress was very forgetful which I can be understanding about but it seemed it was with every little thing. read more

I was very disappointed.We could have eaten at Piada for half the price.I use to be able to order the Chicken Marsala and exchange the mashed potatoes for spaghetti bolognese sauce free of charge,now there is an up chargeIt was not full of rich tomato sauce or chunks of meat but had a cream sauce.Iwanted spaghetti instead of fettuccini they gave me angel hair pasta instead.Yuck!Our waitress charged my husband another $4.25 for the salad which already came with the meal.Be sure to check your receipt as the waitress giggled that she had pressed the wrong key,which we would have been charged.She had to call the manager over to tell me about the up charge for the exchange of meat sauce instead of mashed potatoes.I don't know why the waitress couldn't have explained.Our waitress grated more cheese on the table rather than plate,didn't bother to pick it up and then placed our pizza box on top of the cheese so all of it stuck to the bottom.Needless to say we will not be a repeat customer.It's sad that Dayton can't really find a decent Italian restaurant like Mama Lucia in Silver Spring Maryland. read more
