I have been to Brazilian Wax by Andreia a few times and it's a great place to get your waxing done. I tried another place in Dacula before this and I did not like that place. So I come to Buford and it might be a bit further for me but it's worth it. They have great waxing promo where you can multiple parts of your body waxed for a better price. I usually go to Sophie and she is excellent and very knowledgeable about skin and suggestions on dry skin etc. Last time she had a emergency and had to cancel and I appreciated it so much she messaged me and told me sorry etc. I was like, no apology needed, life happens sometimes. But I would definitely pick her to do my waxing she is great. It was great to know that Sophie values her repeat customers. Also, I have tried Olga since I was already there last time, and Olga was very nice as well. The ambience and vibe is very relaxing abc nicely set up. You wait in the lounge area and then they take you to a private room and you get waxed. Wear comfy clothes that are easy to take off for getting waxing done. I been to a few others at this location but hands down Sophie is the BEST!!! Let me tell you!!!! When I say she deserves a 10 she really does!! Sophie goes on above and beyond doing her job. I give it to her bc I sure ass hell couldn't do what she does. Lol. Sophie was so sweet, she was up front and told me what I needed to do, gave me recommendation, explained how and when I should exfoliate.. She did an awesome job waxing me! She left my behind smooth like a babies butt!! I had a few ingrown hair and she was so patience with me and pulled it out with a tweezer! I came to Wax by Andreia for a sugaring just because...well, I'm a yelper and I enjoy trying out new businesses! Also it's very close to me and saves me from driving in the dreadful traffic in the greater Atlanta area. Anywhoo it's in a plaza right beside Starbucks which is probably most convenient ever. After your wax, you treat yourself with a Starbies refresher! Plenty of parking too :) My waxologist was Elizabeth she was great, super fast and had me waxed up in 10 minutes with a pretty bearable pain level (if that even exists) the only downside is that she's the only esthetician in the entire studio that does sugaring. My initial appointment got cancelled and since she's the only sugarist, I had to reschedule which is a little annoying. It'd be great if they would train more of their staff to do sugaring because I think that it'll increase business. Besides, waxing is a thing of the past, sugaring is where it's at! I've been coming to the Buford and Sugarloaf locations for over 5 years and I will NEVER go back to one of these again. Save your money and make the drive to European Wax Center where they actually take pride in their work and take care of customers. I made an appointment with Samantha for Wednesday, July 27th at 4:30 pm that worked around travel I had planned for that evening. The day of, about 4 hours before my appointment, I receive a call that she's having a family emergency and would need to cancel. I asked to reschedule with another waxer as I was headed to the beach. She said they could fit me in at 4 pm and I would be with Elizabeth, Sam assured me she was great and I would be well taken care of. I showed up at 4 for my appointment and was asked what I was there for and if I requested someone for the service. The woman at the desk said my appointment was not booked with anyone and that she'd find someone who could do it then started telling me that Sam left because she wanted to since they were so slow. I get not wanting to waste time on the clock but they should probably cross check stories before telling customers they have to leave for family emergency when it's actually because business is slow... Sophie completed my services and it was fine but as soon as I got into my car I realized I still had a significant amount of wax stuck to me. Once home I found that my running shorts were completely ruined. Two weeks later I have the work in-growns in my 12 years of waxing. I am incredibly disappointed in the care that was taken of me as a customer am beyond disappointed that after paying $70 for services I now have to throw away a $40 dollar pair of shorts. Location: B- The location is on a road with heavy traffic, and it's tucked away in a strip mall. Good News: Starbucks is next door...and Steak n Shake. Pick your bad foodie poision. Price: B Comparable to most wax salons. Service: D This is a tricky one. I had at least a 15 minute wait, not quite sure why seeing as though I was the only client waiting at the time. Two clients left and one esthetician went outside to sweep. This was odd to me and I have never seen this happen since I've been waxing. I have been waxing for 20 years. No one was particularly friendly ( I was not greeted by One esthetician though two came out talking to the receptionist)except the receptionist and my lovely esthetician Misa. No smiles, no hello. I have an idea why I was treated in this manner but I'd like to hope that this was just an off day. :) Now the Extreamly Good: A++ After the horrible first impression of that location, Misa was delightful. She did a bang up job on my wax with no pain! I am not good at small talk : True INTJ. Update: I received a voicemail from I think the owner or the manager saying how sorry they were and they wanted to fix what happened. I do appreciate the gesture and they did offer me some services to make up for it. I'm more happy they actually addressed the situation. I set an appointment to get a full body wax before I left to on vacation. I arrived 5 minutes late due to traffic, but called to let the business know. No one picked up after a few tries of me calling, but knew it was a busy place. I get there 5 minutes after my set time for appointment and was not seen for almost 30 minutes to find out I couldn't even get all of my services done. I work with people as well so I understand if someone is late or it's the end of the day. However, getting there 40 minutes before closing and Being made to wait by the staff and not get everything I was booked for highly angered me. Had a vajacial scheduled two weeks in advance. They sent me a confirmation text to confirm my appointment the day before and I confirmed. I showed up to my appointment and was told there was no one there who could do a vajacial because they were sick. I understand being sick but they should have called before I drove all the way there. (This review is from a black woman, which may be relevant). They did an ok job, but I'm pretty sure I won't return. I usually go to Sweet Samba in Buckhead, but I moved up north so it's inconvenient for me to get to the city. I tried Andrea's in Buckhead a couple of years ago, and had a less than positive experience (it was extraordinarily painful and I didn't have a smooth finish at all - lots of stubble) . I figured it was probably just the aesthetician, and hoped for a better experience in Buford. The location is convenient. The atmosphere and decor were relaxing and inviting. The bathroom was clean. The receptionist was pleasant and friendly, as was the aesthetician who did my Brazilian. The pain was moderate/typical, not like the experience I had at the other location. But she did not remove all the hair at all. She kept telling me that it was because I had shaved in between waxes (I hadn't been waxed in 6 mos or more, and had used Nair in between). I have always been inconsistent with my Brazilians, and I've always used Nair in between, and Sweet Samba has never had a problem removing the hair. Since this is my second experience with Andrea's, and the second time my hair wasn't completely removed, I have to wonder if maybe their technique works best for non-black women's hair? I'm not sure what else it could be, so I wonder if it's that. I can tell you that I've NEVER had this issue with Sweet Samba. I'm going to let it grow back out and then make the trek back into the city to get it fixed. read more

Made an appointment the day of 8 hours in advance. By the time I was pulling into the place they called me and tried to tell me not to come because no one could do my waxing. I told them I was literally outside and they said "ok we guess you can come". A woman named Olga did my waxing and I had the worst experience ever. There were still hairs when I left. Idk what wax she used but I broke out in a rash for the next 5 days and have had terrible ingrowns ever since I got waxed by her. I wouldn't recommend this location at all. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would! I have been going to Andreia's for 6 years and I will NEVER go back again. I booked online for a Brazilian and Vagacial. When I arrived I was told the girl I was booked with does not do Vagacials. I did not, however, book with a specific person. I wasted my time going in and didn't even receive an apology for THEIR mistake. The receptionist told me she would get a manager and come to find out the woman she brought to the front was just another receptionist. She made it seem as if it was my fault who their system scheduled me with. I am absolutely disgusted with their customer service especially after being a client for so long. Had a Brazilian was on 10/24 by a lady who spoke broken English.. At the being of my wax, she proceed to rub corn starch to prep the area.. I told her to stop bc I have an allergy to talc.. She insisted there was no talc and the powder was necessary for the wax.. Then proceed to power excessive amt of "so called" corn starch to the area being waxed. Well lady their is talc in your "so call" corn starch.. I have a flaming red itchy rash to the entire area waxed... No it's not from the wax bc I wax every few months.. Never again..
