I have been going to LA nail studio for about two years. During my second to last visit, I got a simple nail and feet gel manicure/pedicure, and the time I visited beforehand my card had trouble going through but I had money on it. I assured the owner LiLi to not worry because I'm not the type of person to get a service and not pay and to give me a second to call my bank and fix the problem before I left. I ended up solving the issue then paid for my services but there was an obvious shift in her behavior towards me and she stared at me for the entirety of my phone call. So the next and last time I went to the shop and got my regular services, the women who did my nails was hella passive towards me, and then Lili (the owner) had the nerve to become short tempered with me whenever I tried to make small talk with her. My nails were crooked and the gel polish on my toes were chunky. Once my services was over, I couldn't even get up from my seat before she asks me if my credit card is working or not. I couldn't believe the lack of decorum, respect, and distrust she revealed at that moment as long as I have visited her individually and bringing some of my family of the years. I felt so uncomfortable and nodded my head in response to her. Even though NONE of them deserved it I still left a tip after I paid for my services. With that, please find a more respectable nail shop that isn't overpriced, that won't hold grudges over one incident, and let's their owners/staff (WHO YOU HELP PAY) become passive aggressive with negative vibes towards you, before considering this nail shop. This was the worst experience I've ever had. I do not recommend this place at all. An older lady did my eyebrows and completely messed them up--she cut off half of one eyebrow and left the other one extremely thin. I am very disappointed with the service. read more

Visiting from out of state. Establishment was clean. Asked for dip mani and pedicure. They say me down in a chair put my nails to soak. I sat in a chair for over 35 minutes with my nails soaking. No one said it was a wait. If so I would have left. Then when they finally get to you they rush the service. On top of it they did not apologize for the wait and they don't tell you they charge a service fee. I was so pissed and disappointed. I did not even tip. The lady had her nerve to be upset!! I definitely do not recommend them. This is the worst dip polish. It's only 3 days now and my dip is all cracked up and my hands all dried from them soaking it in the nail polish. I've been here three times for a pedicure. The first time it was great. The second time it was mediocre. The third and last time it was terrible. My polish was not applied properly and all the cuticle was not removed. I paid extra for callous removal, but the callous was more after the service which is difficult to understand. There is a "discount" charge on the receipt; however, it is not a discount. It is a fee for using a debit or credit card. I'm not certain why they call it a discount since in actuality it's a charge. Jessica has always done my nails when they were acrylic and Cali has started doing my nails now that I have switched to gel. Cali does a clean job with the gel and is queen of design. This was my second experience here and I only came back because it's close to home. The FIRST time I came with my 7 year old. The gentleman was very impatient with her. For some reason they were serving food and asked their customers if they would like something to eat, however we were never asked. Today was my second time, Mother's Day, the young lady giving me my pedicure rushed me and was extremely rough while halfway doing the pedicure correctly. They do not seem to value their clients. You are very lucky if you get a greeting when you walk in. They will let you sit out on those very worn out, uncomfortable couches rather than get you set up in the pedicure chair while you wait your turn. Come on..... The prices are steep. Notice the pedicure prices. They always want you to upgrade, but for WHAT? Supposedly better lotions? The staff should be pleasant, smile sometimes maybe? The staffs are all friendly and the guy that I had, who has a short hair and blue shirt, I really recommend him! Arrived to have a pedicure service and no one greeted me or asked how they could assist. Another customer came to the front from the back and recieved service to check out. She looked at me, still said nothing and went back to assisting someone else in the back area. I finally flagged down a younger girl there who finally tells me they are not taking anymore customers. I've gotten my nails done here several times and I'm a fan. Most of the employees are nice and the salon seems to be well-staffed since I never have to wait more than a couple minutes, if that. Prices are on par with what you would expect. Not sure if they have "free wi-fi" per se, but when I came in with my iPad the owner gave me the password to use their wireless network. Also, this is not related to my review, but his little daughter was there one time and she is adorable. Bonus points to the staff because they were so nice the time I got a mani/pedi and brow wax and then realized I had left my wallet at home in the diaper bag. New mommies FTW! I went to pay & told the girl I did not receive spa pedicure & she proceded to charge me for it saying I got callise remover. I loved Lindsey who I usually have. She was not in today. I have been coming consistently here for 2 years... Tommy has always taken great care of me. The place is clean and super friendly. If Tommy is not is Karen is my back up. They both to quality work. They do your nails exactly how you ask. I have come here a week after getting my nails done because i messed them up and they fixed them for no charge. I dont know why other people are complaining. Cali, Linda, Dan, and April are the only ones that have been consistent in their work and customer services. Stay away from Karen because she talks extremely too much about absolutely nothing and she does a piss poor job. I have given her chance after chance to prove me wrong but she shows preferential treatment towards some. She has left my nails in a mess by not cleaning the polish off the skin around them (why is there even polish on my skinin the first place?), half applying nail oil and what hand massage??? I am not sure how this place has any bad reviews! Ever since a bad experience at my regular salon I have been on a desperate search for someplace new. Well today I found it or should I say her! Tina was amazing. She was patient and understanding and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. My nails were in pretty bad shape so we discussed my options and finally decided on color SNS nails. SNS is a new nail type that is Better for your nails and has vitamin D and calcium. She took the time to file down the other mess that someone else had made and was very careful not to damage my nails. She spent a lot of time re shaping them to what I really wanted and made sure to stop and ask if they were good. Good, boy they are great!! I am so happy to have my nails looking great again and to have finally found my new nail salon!! read more

I have been coming here for a while but I recently had an issue with one of the front desk staff people. I paid over $75 for a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure chipped the very next day as well as an acrylic nail breaking. When I returned to get the acrylic nail fixed, I spoke to Dan, who refused to have me seen within a reasonable amount of time to fix one nail. He then proceeded to say, Tommy (the person who did my nails was out of town, and they were too busy to help me). This nail salon is unprofessional and does a substandard job in providing quality service. At least if the nail service was done I correctly, the customer service should be exceptional. I recommend you do not waste your time. Your money and time should be valued. LA Nail studio doesn't value either. My recommendation: remove Dan from the front desk. His service is unacceptable. read more

I came to LA nails to give them a try before my honeymoon. I got my nails refilled (pink powder) and I brought my own gel polish. Normally salons will not charge the full $15 for the gel when you bring your own, but not the case here. The worst part about it is one nail broke completelytoday. Not crack but snapped off. And what was I doing? Was I rock climbing? Was I hammering my fingernails to break? NO? I scratched my ear and it snapped. That is ridiculous. I got my nails done one Tuesday August 15th. It is the 20th. My refill (paid for refill $5 extra for the length and $15 for my own gel polish) I paid a total of $42 (not including tip and I tipped at least 20% I tipped $10) to have my nails last less than 1 week. It's crazy. I am now on my honeymoon (did not bring my polish because I figured my nails would last at LEAST a week) and can not find a perfect color match. It sucks. read more

I usually go here to get a mani/pedi. My last 2 visits I had a younger man do my manicure. In order to get through people faster, he hardly removed my old nail polish, leaving most of my old polish on my fingers. He then put my new polish on top without filing my nails, cutting my cuticles and doing everything else I pay a lot of money to have done. I could have done a better job myself at home. On my previous visit he put my shoes on while my nails were still wet. This ruined my shoes and my nails, putting a $20+ pedicure to waste and a $100 pair of shoes in the trash. read more

I have gone to LA Nail Studio for as long as I can remember. They do a fantastic job with SNS, and Dinh's pedicures are amazing! I am a big fan of the Onsen Spa Pedicure, but from time to time, I get the Chamomile just to get the incredible neck massage, too. I've gotten my nails done here quite a few times and really like it. I always get pedicures and always ask for Callie. She is really precise and takes her time. I also like that they have a loyalty punch card so you get 10 dollars off a service after a certain amount of visits. All in all, a great salon with great prices! read more

This place is very nice. They cut my hair. Very clean. Vow. Not long waiting time. Walk ins are welcome and appointments. We came in a huge group and it was nice.
