We were so lucky to be helped by Shelby, who provided exceptional customer service. Shelby was incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the process. My dad is over 86 years old and had difficulty completing his fingerprints, but Shelby never rushed him. Instead, she patiently guided him and made sure he felt comfortable and respected. What touched me most was how she took the time to compliment and encourage my dad, which really made his day. Her kindness and positive attitude turned what could have been a stressful experience into a pleasant one. In today's busy world, it is refreshing to meet someone who treats others with such kindness and respect. Shelby is a true asset to the Driver License Office. Thank you, Shelby, for treating my dad with such dignity, patience, and compassion. Outstanding employees like you make a real difference in people's lives.

It took 1.10 hr (one hour 10 minutes) at the counter to renew my daughter's learner driver license despite having appointment on April 29th at 345pm. They don't care about your valuable time. We spent over two hours in total and they wanted us to spend the whole day. Shared our experience with Trenise, the Lead on duty but to no avail. Very much disappointed and perturbed on this. Avoid this location! They are still in 18th century!

You can book an appointment on line so your wait may not be that long. When you get there you log into and make a selection of either sitting there or requesting a text when it is your turn. I opted for the text message but still sat in the waiting room. There are about 15 chairs and they are always full. You can wait out side on the picnic table. Mine probable took longer being I was a New Resident and changing over a lot of items. They have one window dedicated to dealers so they can come in and be out sooner. Most people I saw were doing renewals and some other issues. Debra helped me out in getting both of my vehicles registered and my Disabled Veteran's plates. She was very professional and courteous, great conversation as we moved along in the process. She is a true and real asset to this office. All of the other ladies in all of their transaction were very professional in their dealing with the public. I did not see anyone leaving the office angry or frustrated. Keep up the great work you and a true asset to the city and county.

All I had to do was head to the forms on the wall and select the one that applied to me (there were three to choose from and the options were very clear). Clipboards for filling out the forms were plenty at the reception desk. Additionally, the form was very straightforward. There are plenty of seats in the waiting area and clear signs tracking customer numbers for service. The DPS counters for customer service are hidden from the waiting area with temporary walls, providing customer privacy. That said, there are clear signs posted indicating the number of each employee's counter to help customers go to the right person. Customer numbers are clearly announced when it is their turn. The employee who assisted me was amiable and efficient. He appreciated that I was prepared with appropriate documentation and a completely filled out form. Taking my new driver license photo was easy; however, there was only once chance for it, so I had to accept the one that came thru. But it's not meant to be a glamour shot, so no reason to complain! Paying happens with the employee, and that was super easy. Overall, this is a great location to renew driver licenses!

I definitely wish it was zero stars…read more I am a deaf trainee for a school bus and my trainer was with me when we checked in. I was prepared for the road test for CDL class b. My number was called and as my trainer and I sat down at a desk, we experienced a rude attitude from an employee named James, even he is the examiner for the road test, he claimed that we were late and we were supposed to be on time. But my trainer defended that we already checked in and filled out the forms. Minutes later, he learned that I am deaf, he obviously determined that I should have an interpreter and he can't proceed. We watched him walking away from the desk and spoke with his super. It seemed like the super told him firmly that he should proceed regardless. After he/the other employee proceeded the forms in the computer, as I was walking out of the building with James to proceed the road test, the trainer overheard him mumbling to himself, "I don't know if he will pass the test without an interpreter." I am capable to take the test without requiring an interpreter because I had studied the handbook for many weeks and I was prepared to explain everything on the whiteboard. Certain employees definitely need to be re-trained to interact with deaf applicants and keep an open mind while doing their job!
