This is the campus post office, and still standing in original "splendar" amongst the degrading Northgate Buildings across the street, and the overall urbanization of areas in and around campus. This is where I picked up my packages from home during my student stay at A&M many years ago. I revisited the building last week both inside and outside. They always close at random times during the day. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

This was the best USPS experience I have ever had. The person working was sooo kind and personable.

I love this post office. The self service station is genius. It's a quick in and out for simple service. Just in case you have a situation, rest assure that the employee will take care of you. read more

I went in with a pre-paid label and an untaped box. I thought they could tape it up for me. It might cost $0.50, maybe even $1 if they were really marking it up. Nope, they make you buy tape for pre-paid packages for $3.49. What a scam. I left without mailing my package. Never going back to this location just based on that alone. Strongly considering just using UPS if other locations have similar ridiculous policies. read more

930 am to 4 pm doesn't cut it. And closed for lunch 11:30 to 12:30! There is a reason the US Postal Service is in such difficulties. No guarantee of delivery at all, even if you send things overnight "guaranteed" it means nothing. Things go missing, lost or stolen and the best you can hope for is your postal fee back and an eye roll. It needs work. And all these locations need a better work ethic, longer hours and better management. 4:30 close and 5 pm close for the other locations in BCS. UPS and FedEx want my business. They deserve it. read more

Great little post office. I don't think the rude ladies mentioned in previous reviews still work there. I have been several times but have not encountered them... Only very helpful and polite service from the postal folks I have met there. They are quick to give tips on how to better package...or save money sending packages or mail. The best part is the lines are typically shorter than the ones at the Harvey Mitchell location. The downside is that they are open less hours. Would love for them to increase their hours and be open on weekends. Will continue to visit this post office for any postal needs. read more

As far as Post Offices go, this one is pretty good. The employees are generally friendly and helpful. Only complaints: it gets busy and parking is an issue! The line does move pretty quickly barring any customers with large or difficult requests (happens often actually). They could really use an automated postal machine in the lobby for use after hours. There are lots of post office boxes if you need one. Avoid at lunchtime for best results! read more

I have been coming to this post office for four years now and they have been the nicest and most helpful every time! Today I came in to mail my wedding invitations and without even asking, they offered to hand stamp all of them for me. 10/10 would recommend this post office over any other in the city!! read more

When I went to A&M, this place had the worst service you could imagine in a capitalist country. The ladies there treated everyone who came like they were idiots who were bothersome. I watched one of them yell at a Chinese student something about writing the mailling addres. All I could think was, that the guy was doing his PhD in Physics, and he is definitely not an idiot. He just didn't speak English well, and all you had to do is calmly explain. During my last year, those ladies were replaced by new staff. The service has changed so drastically, I could not believe it! The guys up front are calm, nice, and smiley! They will send your package or letter as if it is not even work for them (in a good way, with ease) and make the whole experience of waiting in line not a huge problem. Yes, since this is the PO serving all of campus, there is a line most of the time, but it is very bearable. There is 30 min free parking nearby, so using this location is convenient if you live close. If you have a car, and are looking for less lines, I suggest using the PO in Bryan near highway 6, or the one near College Station Walmart. read more

Easily the best experience I have had at any post office. I had over 60 packages to ship and two employees that were extremely willing to help got started on stamping and organizing the packages as soon as I walked in. They were extremely friendly and got it all done in less than 25 minutes. Also, it ended up being a lot cheaper than originally expected! There was only one person at the counter but he was professional and very helpful. I was in and out for less than 5 minutes (including me writing the address+ waiting in line). Didn't encounter the rude people mentioned in previous posts, either I got lucky or they don't work there anymore. Would recommend to my fellow Aggies! read more

As great as the location is, I wouldn't hesitate to drive down to the post office by Walmart to save time and grief if I needed help with something. Every time I walk in, there is a long line, and you're always catching a snippy comment from one of the employees directed at some poor student who didn't know how to fill out one of their pedantic forms just before they berate them for not going to the back of the 20 minute line they just got out of to complete the form. Save yourself the disrespect and hassle and use FedEx or UPS. The USPS is a dying institution, and if this is the best they can do, why spend your money to buy them a few more breaths? read more

I don't think I would ever give USPS 5 stars, but here I am. As the other reviews mentioned, the horrific ladies are gone (for good I would hope; thanks to some concerned citizens, USPS customer care, or quite possibly the natural selection...who knows). Those ladies were the only reason I didn't frequent this place. I would drive further just to mail stuff. Gone were the days, and what I have seen the last few times are smiley and helpful gentlemen. They were always courteous and efficient. There was not even a line during lunchtime the last time I went. I could only wish that they have more extended hours or an automatic machine like the one on Harvey Mitchell. read more

Mailed a tablet to my grand-daughter, registered; insured with return receipt on April 4 was tansferred to the Houston St. PO on Apr 6th. She never received it, Guy at PO told it was sent back and I never received it or the receipt. Something fishy there. 050913 I followed up with Postal Investigator with additional info that I found and provided the name of the guy who told my grand daughter that it was shipped back and wouldn't you know? The package turned up. Really fishy if you ask me. read more

The postal service done by USPS here was horrible. I was supposed to receive an expensive package from my friend and to my surprise I couldn't find it in my mailbox even after tracking the USPS status. It said the package got delivered but I couldn't find it . The strange part was the package got delivered to my next apartment and thank god it was my friend's apartment otherwise it would have been a big loss. Delivering to wrong address is something one cannot tolerate. Hope you guys get your package delivered correctly. read more
