Fun family based entertainment. Old fashioned baseball to watch on a hot summer night. Fairly cheap eats & drinks, specials available.

I love Cirque shows…read more My wife and I figured we'd see a show while living in Houston and they were in town, so that's exactly what we did! This show was great! I have liked all three of the touring shows I've seen, but this was my first time in the Big Tent! It was a super hot day out, but the AC kept things nice inside. Don't expect big, comfortable seating with ample space to stretch out because these kinds of things are meant for packing people in. It's OK, that's what I expected since that's how most event-type places are. I'm glad there was an intermission so I could stretch out my back a little, though. Parking was easy getting in and out, although I could see it taking a bit longer if you get there a bit later than semi-early or if you get out of the tent a little slower. My favorite act was the juggler!

This review is for their performance in Houston…read more If you've been to other Cirque Du Soleil in the race park before then you know that there's no way around paying for parking. It will cost you $12 to park. The good thing about the parking is it was super organized so even though there were long lines of cars trying to park, the lines were moving; and once I had paid, the attendees directed me where to go and it took me less than a minute to park. Before you can enter the Grand Chapiteau, you have to go through your typical security measure. There are no metal detectors but they will look inside your purse if you have one. I was here with my sister and she didn't have a purse so we didn't even get checked. She did have a jacket on her but they didn't check it. This means you could sneak in your own snacks/drinks should you be inclined to. Why would one be inclined to sneak in their own snacks/drinks? Well, a bottled water/soda will run you $5. Nachos will run you $10. A Cotton candy will run you $8. Hot dog will run you $7. You see where I'm going with this? If you're coming here with your family (kids, wife, girlfriend, whatever), then you be better be ready to be dropping some $$$$. As for the show, it's your typical CDS stage/seating. You have the round stage with the seats surrounding them. I was lucky enough to get good seats to the right side and three rows from the stage so I was able to see everything clearly. If you opt to sit toward the back, some times you can't even see the faces of the performers clearly. The show started at eight on the dot. Some of the performances are pretty typical CDS where it would amaze you what a human body can do with training (contortionist, balancing act, juggling). Some of the other acts were more creative (invisible circus, finger dancing, animal impression). One act in particular was a combination of both where you have this dude playing yo-yo in the middle of the stage, but holy cow, he could control them yo-yos like they were a part of his body. I felt like he should have been competing in international yo-yo championship or something. All in all, I was happy with the show. This was also my sister's first Cirque Du Soleil and so everything was brand new to her and she was thoroughly impressed with the performances. CDS is always a fun event to go to and I definitely will go to whatever other Cirque Du Soleil shows that would make a stop in Houston.

She was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping me find exactly what I needed for our event. Her professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to help made the planning process seamless, and I truly appreciated how easy she was to work with. What really sets Freedom Fun apart, however, is the quality of their people. While setting up for our event, I suffered a very serious accident that resulted in a significant injury and severe bleeding. In those frightening moments, Isaac, DJ, and Adam immediately sprang into action. They did not hesitate for a second. Remaining remarkably calm under pressure, they took control of the situation, did everything they could to stop the bleeding, and stayed focused until emergency responders arrived. Their quick thinking, composure, and genuine concern for my well-being made all the difference during one of the scariest moments of my life. What impressed me most was not only how capable they were, but how compassionate and caring they were throughout the entire ordeal. They stayed with me, reassured me, and handled an incredibly stressful situation with maturity and professionalism far beyond their years. Freedom Fun should be extremely proud to have employees like Isaac, DJ, and Adam representing their company. Their actions demonstrated outstanding character, teamwork, selflessness, and a level of care that I will never forget. Thank you, Nina, for being so wonderful to work with, and thank you to Isaac, DJ, and Adam for stepping up when I needed help the most. I am deeply grateful to all of you and would highly recommend Freedom Fun to anyone looking for a company that not only delivers great service but is staffed by truly exceptional people.

But I was wrong. I'm sure the website tells you somewhere that you need a physical, printed ticket to the game, but somehow an explicit reminder/notice never seemed to be included in any emails with the information. If someone is going to not act like it's 2017 and force me to bring a sheet of paper, please tell me up front, since I don't keep a printer in my pocket. Furthermore, when we found out our phones could not be scanned (why? They let me *keep* the paper one!), we had to email the tickets (which we already had paid for in full -- including all those other fees) to an @gmail domain address. For some reason, we weren't in the system and had to prove we had purchased tickets online. The cherry on top: each of my tickets cost an additional $5. Insane. Buy elsewhere. Too sketchy. Missed three innings.

Once inside, it was so cozy and homey and we were treated like special guests in someone's home! Such personal service by the most polite and pleasant staff. I have never been treated so well at a concert in my life. Whether it was pouring us drinks or showing me where the restroom was we were met with true southern hospitality. The bathrooms were clean, the food was delicious and the venue itself nothing short of amazing! It is smaller than you think which makes it so you feel right up close to the performers. Never mind that Girl Named Tom were nice enough to come upstairs to the balcony to do a few songs and they walked right by us and stopped to chat! I mean where else can you have that happen?? The salad was fresh and crisp and the chicken fried steak was a real piece of steak not just pounded cube steak. The green beans were perfectly prepared with some bite to them still and not the canned kind. My husband's pork tenderloin was also good and his sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts were perfection. Every second I was saying to myself how impressed I was with it all. Josh and Shelby took such great care of us and made it fun too! Iced tea glass was kept filled as was the coffee. I wish I liked country music more as I would come here for a show again and again!
