My job request was to run a line (20 feet) for an outdoor light switch and plug to a backyard artificial turf sports area I built. I always get 3 or 4 estimates for every job, THREE of them were VERY similar around $5-600., but one Rockwall Electric gave a quote for $1620.00, and then charged me $69.00 for a service call (none of the others charged me for an estimate). I was completely flabbergasted by their estimate and asked them to wave the service call fees since they were so completely out of context compared to the other bids. They denied my request and also the service technician would not honor the 5% military discount I was told I would receive. I will say the technician was very polite and tried to address my concerns with the owner to no avail. I ended up using Barney Electics ($550.00) and highly recommend him.
