I came here for a company outing/team building experience. I love escape rooms and I had not been to this facility before. We did the Island Escape which apparently only 20% of teams get out of. I will say it was a little upsetting that part of the first clue had "malfunctioned" and was already laying on the floor. Another thing as that the room could use a good cleaning/fixing/updating due to wear & tear. We managed to get out of the room with less than a minute to spare and I with the help of our game master Caro when we got stuck. I'm sure she was silently laughing at us cutting up and ragging on each other and pondering "How dense can they be?" Hahaha. Still, it was a good time and even better, we were the second team from our company to get out. Happy Escaping!

Great deal, first of all! I was hunting down specials on escape rooms and settled on Breakout Games. They had a variety of rooms and scenarios, great reviews AND a coupon code for weekday bookings. And I was booking a Wednesday evening~ so yay! Booking was easy on their website. It is advised you arrive 15 minutes early and you can sign your waivers ahead of time online. We had a party of 6, this was a birthday gift for my friend & I made sure to include her hubby and daughter. We arrived super early and waited for our Gamemaster to take us back! We chose the Kidnapping scenario and were blindfolded and restrained entering the room. From there the details are a little fuzzy as we raced the clock to avoid a horrific fate at the hands of our abductor. Puzzles, riddles, finding clues, unlocking several pieces of the puzzles- we managed to ESCAPE! The door lit up white and opened as we rushed to safety! lol~ We also got a good laugh when another group, in another room, shrieked and startled all of us! Good fun! Our Gamemaster- Lea was awesome, she was there the entire time to offer help if we needed and to confirm codes before trying. I often wonder how much they laugh at us as we run around a room looking at everything and anything. The last puzzle she was impressed with our skills to decipher! She said she thinks it's the fastest she had ever seen anyone do that part! I figure it balanced us getting stuck on one clue in the middle! This also is one that the more people you book the lower the cost- which is super fun! Highly recommend and grab as many as your friends as possible!

Some friends and I came here for a break from reality as they are huge breakout fans and occasionally I get the privilege of joining them. Today's kidnap motif was fantastic! Granted we were only two steps away from getting out in time; if we had another two minutes we would have succeeded however it was great bonding and working together. This was the first time I've ever been handcuffed so that was an experience ha ha but overall this was a good way to spend the day. They do social distance and they disinfect everything after the game is done. Our game monitor, I wished I had her name but her picture is attached was fantastic, She had a great sense of humor and you can tell she really enjoys her job! Overall this was a great great experience and yes great was repeated twice on purpose!

I brought my entire team for a work team building event and Breakout did not disappoint. The room was challenging. I like that they gave us some clues along the way to help us. The best part is we all had fun.

This is our third time to go play with the family at the BreakOut Games- Jacksonville within the past few months. We have enjoyed The Runaway Train in November, Operation: Casino in December, and Mystery Mansion today. Each room has it's own creative and exciting challenges that have gotten our hearts racing and our brains working while having loads of fun at the same time each time! For discounts, you get to play free if you are celebrating your birthday. They had offered 10% off your entire booking (WEEKDAY10) in the past too if you played between Monday and Thursday. Last December, we got discounts for buying gift cards. They have also sent us $5 off coupon code via email to finish our booking. Each booking is a private room experience for your group. This is a fantastic way to get off the couch and actually be part of an exciting story instead of just watching one! Really looking forward to our next escape!

Went for a group event and had 7 people in our room. We all started out in handcuffs and had to find the key as our first task. We were in kidnapped room - and had Elizabeth as our guide. There were 3 groups in our total and we were the first out at 51 minutes!. Great fun!

Mystery Mansion was great! My son and his friends had a great time at his bday gathering. Multiple rooms involved in the escape. They really loved it and will be back! They are running by appointment only and one group at a time only due to Covid. Felt totally safe and everyone had masks. Thanks for a memorable 13th bday!

I've always wanted to try it, but it's one of those hobbies that seem to have a couple of barriers. Like, friends have invited me, but I didn't have a kayak to join them. Or I've looked at some of the tour groups, but I never wanted to be that first-timer that kind of holds up the rest of the group, y'know? When I found out my friend Kelly was going on this tour and she had only been kayaking once before, I figured that whatever happened, there'd be at least one other person in the same predicament. I am so glad I went!! The tour was PHENOMENAL. The tour guides bring everything you need - kayak, paddles, and life jackets, so you just have to drive yourself to the location and bring some water & snacks. There was some instruction before we all got in the water, but it's definitely one of those things where you just need to do it for a while before "getting" it. (I'm still not 100% that I got it, but I was way better at the end than at the beginning.) It was a smallish group, about 7 or 8 of us, and we were the only kayakers I saw the entire time we were on the creek. I only ran into two people (fortunately, the people I knew!), and only got stuck on a log once. But I got unstuck and learned to watch out for logs. The tour guides gave some follow-up instruction when I needed it (turning is hard), and the other folks in the group were super-nice and not once did I feel like I was THAT person slowing anyone down. You just kinda paddle forward, and sometimes run into logs if you need to stop. It gets easier after that. I saw 30 million turtles sunning themselves on the side of the creek, a baby snake merrily swimming along, some swallow-tailed kites, an orchid native to NE Florida, and someone tried to point out a baby alligator, but I did not see it. The weather was perfect and the setting was gorgeous. It was so blissfully quiet, as well. A lot of St. Augustine is about getting stuck in traffic, and that gets old real quick. Coming out to this quiet little pocket of uninterrupted nature was exactly what my brain and my soul needed. Two thumbs up, five stars, A++, highly recommend, would (and will!) go again!

We selected the Batman and Narcos rooms and split our group up into teams. The game master was so nice and respectful to us not wanting but then NEEDING hints. She was very attentive to our game and only dropped hints that would get us over small humps. We were able to beat Batman room but Narcos left half of our group stumped and in their feelings. Both are labeled as hard and very hard. The pricing was per person and they were great on respecting our time window. Batman was a little higher due to licensing but definitely worth the money. I was so happy to save Gotham City. This is a great fun exercise and we're all planning to go back and beat the Narcos room.

The staff helped us a couple of times when we got stuck and we escaped in time. It was a lot of fun. Today, we went back with my husband and 13 year old to do the Batman room. Everyone put different pieces of the puzzles together and we did fairly well until the last room where we got stumped. Despite asking the guide to help us when we got behind, we continually got the same "hint" at the end that wasn't helpful. After we failed to escape, she came in and explained what we were supposed to do, which I think is exactly what we were doing, so either I misunderstood or the game wasn't working properly. It was a bit of a bummer for what was intended for a fun family outing. So, we built character instead, and focused on the first 50-55 minutes which were pretty fun. I share this only to educate that even if you ask for help, you should be aware you might still not escape. I still want to try the Scooby Doo room, but might try the other easier room (or maybe just a different company) first.
