    We Escaped!

5 Stars - Gold Rush. We Cracked the Code and Beat the Clock! If you're looking for a fun adventure that makes you feel like a genius, look no further than the Escape Game Jacksonville! I took my two boys (10 and 15) during their spring break, and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. This was actually our second time here, and somehow, it was even better than the first! From the moment the clock started ticking, we were all in -- solving puzzles, uncovering clues, and racing against time. The setup was immersive and kept us on our toes, but the real magic was in how well our group clicked. We worked together like a team of undercover agents, cracking codes and piecing together the mystery. And the best part? We escaped with 18 minutes to spare! The boys were buzzing with excitement afterward, and honestly, I think we all felt like heroes walking out of there. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned escape artist, this place delivers. We'll definitely be back to take on another challenge soon! 10 yr old rated: 6/5 stars 15 yr old rated: 4/5 stars

This was the best team bonding experience! We had a couple join our group but it was no big deal. Wow, so much fun! We used 2 hints which didn't cost us anything! But for the most part as a team we were able to figure everything out with a few minutes to spare! It was a BLAST! We even debated staying for a second one, we couldn't, but we will be back asap! Maddi helped us to our room and walked us out. She as great! The other employees were also very kind!

We had a blast here! I went here for a work event I'm over. This was on of our outings for work and it was the first time for a lot of us! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did The Heist and we loved it! The puzzles were a little challenging so we used the hints for help! I forgot her name but the employee who helped us throughout the game was great! We escaped! This is a fun experience to do with friends, family and coworkers! I loved this and I'll definitely be back again!

Visited Jax for the weekend and decided to book this escape room. I originally found it on Groupon but I did a price comparison and booking on the site is actually cheaper than the Groupon deal. We had other escapers in our group which I was happy about. Aww man this was hard but I enjoyed every moment of it, and with 3.30sec on the clock, we escaped!! Everyone was nice, the establishment was clean, I do recommend.

Went here to celebrate my birthday with some family & we had an awesome time! We did "The Heist" escape room, it was definitely challenging & a lot of thought was put into the game. The hints gave just enough info without giving away the complete answer. The lady that checked us in complemented my Pokemon backpack & asked if I had a favorite so we chatted a bit about it while we waited for our game to start. After we solved the game with about 9mins to spare, she gave me a birthday card signed by staff members & a hand drawn picture of my fav Pokemon! It was a really sweet gesture that totally made my day! We will definitely be back to complete the other rooms they have, highly recommend checking them out!!

This is such a fun experience with friends or even a date night ! Tried this for the first time with couple of my friends we enjoyed it! As well got to know another couple of people who join us playing which in total was 5 people playing the game in working in order to escape the room. I think our game moderator felt pity on us which was fine and cool haha we lost a bit of confidence due to the other team but that's okay that's fine we end up escaping in the last 4 second will definitely try again!

Best escape room ever! This was my first time partaking in an escape room and I must say it was loads of fun! My husband and his best friend wanted to do a double date so we picked this escape room. There was another group that joined us and it was loads of fun merging our two groups especially when you're in a mission to solve a puzzle and escape before the time runs out. We choose the escape room called "the heist" and there were three or four rooms total we had to get out of and we almost didn't manage to finish but did. I can't wait to go back. The one that I also wanted to do was "jail break" and the host let us see the other escape room which starts off with splitting the group into pairs into three jail cells and you have to get out of the jail cells and try to escape out of different rooms. Can't wait to go back for another double date night!

Omg, this was actually really hard. We ran out of time but we had so much fun. Don't be afraid to ask for clues and ask early!

What a adventure with family on our beloved family member's 30th birthday. Our reservation is Sara was a jewel as well as the guy who checked us on our game day. The only draw back to our experience was the ventilation in the room. Our baby got over heated. Our women family members were going through hot flashed and the young kids were just OK. Ultimately we escaped!

Full disclosure, I was invited to a free game via a VIP Influencer program. I've been to a few other escape rooms but this was the absolute best!! I was able to bring 4 other friends so we had 5 people in the room. I think this was a good number for this room. Room: Gold Rush Level: 7/10 3 free clues, all additional cost you 3 minutes The standard price is $33/person and after understanding how this game works I think it's worth it! It's Very immersive experience, without being scary. Lots of puzzles and a great introduction to the rules. Justin explained everything clearly and was really nice to our crew. We made it out with 15 minutes to spare! UPDATE: they let me come back again and try another room, similar friend group but a total of 6 people. We did Prison Break and I screamed like a little girl when we made it out, with 6 minutes left. I was so excited. The room was very well done and I felt like I was in a cell for real. We lucked out and had Justin again though I think I scared him with my screaming Can't wait to make my friends go back!!!

My friends and I had a BLAST in our escape room experience. I don't remember what the name of our game was, but when you enter it looks like a middle eastern market. Everything is so well decorated and thought out, and absolutely unexpected. Put your thinking cap on and check it out!

I came across Prototype Escape rooms "Canibals in the Catacombs" room. The story was intriguing and the list of disclaimers, which might dissuade some, made me more interested. When we arrived we all had to sign our waivers and were introduced to our game master Emma. She was extremely personable and walked us through what to expect before we were escorted into the catacombs. The set work was very well done and unlike some escape rooms I've done, everything was in excellent condition and working order. The puzzles were well thought out and required a mixture of puzzle solving and attention to detail. I won't spoil anything about the room, but I will say that everyone in my group was jumpy and looking over their shoulder for the majority of the game (and one of my group, a 6'2" ex-military man, screamed like a little girl). For horror fans or escape room fans, I cant recommend this enough. This was easily one of the top escape rooms I've ever done.

I am definitely not the witty type for these scenarios but I do LOVE haunted houses and immersive experiences such as this. Our birthday boy is extremely witty and is very good at puzzles and games. He picked the Cannibals in the Catacombs room for all 6 of us to experience with him which is Expert level. And it really was expert level! (Which is great!) We were stumped a few times and were given an option before going in to signal for extra clues if need be. We did. The clues were helpful , but not overly helpful where the game/host is giving you the answer when asked - I liked that. We were told there was only a 22% escape rate for this expert level room so the clues were extremely helpful. I only have one other experience to compare this to from a nearby neighboring escape room company. If I had to choose between this escape room business and the nearby escape room 5 miles or less down the road, I would hands down pick Prototype. The prep before going in the room was way more detailed, the props in the room more realistic and movie quality, and the details/clues were very well thought out. I kept saying while in the room how pretty & realistic all of the props are. Nothing is damaged or worn in any way, and if at any point you need to leave or "escape" , it's easy to do so. I'm sold on prototype. I'm not even an escape room goer per se and I'd hands down happily try it again. If you are on the fence about trying, this is your sign to throw the doubt out the window and just give prototype a try. Any Halloween/Spooky lovers out there like myself - pick Cannibals in the Catacombs! There are some extra surprises in store for those who enjoy a good thrill.

This one was well off the beaten path and well hidden if you weren't looking for it. The place was dead as it was a Sunday so we figured we'd liven it up, as Susan would say, "Life is for shenanigans." The staff were entertained by us bantering and dressing up in the different detective clothing while we waited for our scheduled time to escape from The Library. What was a little different from my past experience, a staff member is in the room with you monitoring since there are no cameras around. Also, there's creepy/suspenseful music playing with a dayglow timer going to keep you focused and panicked at the same time while you're looking around for clues. And while we didn't finish in the hour that we were supposed to, we thought that we did pretty good and got out maybe 5 minutes later. This time, we set out to conquer the game room. Each time, staff oriented us, walked us through the rules of the game, and offered to give us a set number of clues as we tried to escape. Unlike some other escape games, the staff member here stays in the room with you the entire time. My group has escaped both times and I actually like the way that they run the this escape room. My only issue is that in order to solve many of these puzzles, you need prior information and knowledge in order to be successful. Other game rooms that I've done provide all of the clues you need in the actual room. But here, if you do not have a lot of common knowledge, knowledge about games, basic science, cars, etc, you may find it difficult to escape.

Despite asking the guide to help us when we got behind, we continually got the same "hint" at the end that wasn't helpful. After we failed to escape, she came in and explained what we were supposed to do, which I think is exactly what we were doing, so either I misunderstood or the game wasn't working properly. It was a bit of a bummer for what was intended for a fun family outing. So, we built character instead, and focused on the first 50-55 minutes which were pretty fun.
