He takes the time to understand your concerns, and to give you the knowledge and tools to help you help yourself between sessions. And as a bonus? He has a six sense for finding spots you had no idea were tight, locked up, and causing you grief. With respect to facilities, the studio is modest but comfortable and clean. My sister got me a massage with her massage therapist for Christmas. I was a little hesitant at first because the massage therapist was a guy and I have never had a guy massage me. If anyone watches Seinfeld, you know which episode I am taking about :) I figured hey it is a free massage I will go. Well let's say I am grateful I did. Tim is very knowledgeable and takes the time to resolve the issues. So many massage therapist think they need to rush and get the whole body done. They never really resolve any issues. I prefer a person who works on the issue areas and listens. Tim does just that he prioritize the problem areas and is very clear that he may not get to them all but the ones he does get to feel so much better. Had my first message with Tim today! Have to say it was wonderful! Not just the message but how at ease he made me feel! It's not the most comfortable thing to get naked under a sheet for a stranger to work out your kinks, but Tim make it very easy! He was extremely professional throughout and I felt very comfortable through the entire message! The message itself was great! He used the right amount of pressure for me... even when it was a bit harder than I would have asked for it's totally what I needed! There were a few times it was too much and he adjusted accordingly when I mentioned it. He really took the time to work on areas I had mentioned and I felt like the time was well managed. Blown out of the water with the attention to detail, even before meeting Tim. He really has thought of everything to make sure the session is focused on benefiting his clients. He asked me to come in 15-20 min before my first session to fill out necessary medical history/paperwork and to give us plenty of time to talk about my Sciatic nerve pain, cramp of my right calf, and having chronic upper back and neck pain. It allowed me to relax on the table with confidence because he explained the whys. Well, I am happy to report that my upper back and neck haven't felt this good in a long time. In fact, I don't remember the last time I didn't have to think about my neck bothering me. He's new to Southern OC so hurry up before he books up. Tim is amazing - highly recommended! Booking an appointment online was a breeze. Warm and personable, he got me to relax right from the start. He sat down and spent time with me before the session, discussing my problem areas, sore spots, expectations, etc. It's obvious he's very knowledgeable about what he's doing - and very enthusiastic about it, too! And sure enough, he listened. Not once did I need to speak up during the session. Don't let the generic office park exterior fool you - Tim creates the perfect environment in his spacious session room. Peaceful and relaxing. I cannot speak more highly of Tim's skill and abilities, I was a longtime client seeing him twice per month for years and never felt better. I sit at a desk job for a living, which of course leads to hips, back, chest, and forearms being tight. I was seeing a chiropractor multiple times per week when I first started with Tim, and after a few sessions I was down to visiting the chiropractor only once a month. Tim made it easy to communicate with him about what we should focus on in a given session, but always made time to hit the other problem areas as well. I was always impressed with his draping technique as well, he was a master at making you feel comfortable and unexposed even when working deeply on hip flexors. I miss being able to take advantage of his skills, I would consider flying down to CA for a visit. read more

I have had several massages from Tim in the past year. I am very active multi-sport athlete who has had a lot of massage therapy through the years in order to keep my body in good physical shape and I consider Tim as one of the best therapists that I have see. He is very attentive to my needs and I would consider him quite intuitive in providing the Soft tissue work and mobilization that I want from a therapeutic massage. He has always been very accommodating when I am scheduling an appointment, and my one concern about saying to many good things about him is that it may become more difficult for me in the future to get worked into his schedule. Tim is one of the most professional and talented massage therapists I've seen. I was instructed by my doctor to seek massage therapy for my back - which often becomes tense and tight due to an extra lumbar - so I've been a regular massage patient for 10+ years. Tim has been my favorite massage therapist and is very attentive to on-going pain or recent injury. He times his appointments carefully to address the areas where you need relief. Tim was fantastic! He provided a comfortable environment -- temperature was perfect, music was relaxing. At the start of the appointment he explained his methodology and asked for my input on what was bothering me, areas to focus on and overall what I was looking for with his massage. I happen to be very picky about my massages. I lived in NYC and Ca before Boise and got massages regularly. Tim is absolutely the best. He has a very professional space to work in. The massage room is never too cold or too hot and his table is very comfortable. He always uses just the right amount of pressure. I have been massaged several times by Tim, but the last one was a birthday gift for a 90 minute session. The best massage ever. I would highly recommend 90 minutes. Tim offered the most amazing, professional quality massage I have ever received. He makes you feel calm and welcomed and discusses in detail the concerns you have with regards to any pain or impaired mobility you may be experiencing. I had my first massage with Tim the other day and understand why my former massage therapist recommended him upon leaving the area. Tim immediately created a warm, welcoming and safe environment, spending time with me prior to beginning to gather information and then communicate back to me after the session. I found Tim to have an incredible touch and keen intuition zooming into your source of pain, offering immediate results. I've been going to see Tim for about a year now. He was referred to me by one of the fabulous coaches at Orange Theory Fitness, where we both worked out. I keep coming back to Pur Zen and being happier every time I leave. This time I had a hip flexor and quad/hamstring massage and Tim was very patient to explain the process and what he was going to do/how he was going to do it. He was mindful to check on me during the massage as he knew I was having a lot of pain prior to coming in. His old location was hard to beat, but his new one may have done that.
