I was gifted a massage to Organic Origins and had my first massage with them today. I scheduled a deep tissue massage (50 minutes) with a Celluma add-on. It's a lovely spa too, and not just massage. I met my masseuse, who was very welcoming. We talked about my chronic health issues and how to approach things, and what areas to prioritize. Her massage skills were great. Firm pressure, dug in when needed, loosened up impossibly tight areas, and helped get things moving in my body. I felt like new afterwards and will be scheduling again in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. I will say the massage was more expensive than most other spas, and to get the price down a bit, a membership is required, which I'm not thrilled about. I hate subscriptions, so I'll probably pay more for my freedom from a subscription and because my massage therapist is worth it. read more

I requested a 50 min deep massage with Juan and it felt too short! I really wished I booked it for longer because he addressed all of the areas I mentioned at the beginning of our session. Not only did he take the time to focus on the knots, I really appreciated that he recommended the areas I should stretch at home. After the massage, I met Emily for our 50 min custom facial, which alalso felt too short. My skin felt amazing and hydrated after our session was over. She also recommended what products I should use to make sure my addressed problems stay minimal. She also provided massages after she put on a face mask for me, which I appreciated! Both beds that I was on were heated, so those felt incredible. It was my first time here, so I had to complete a few paperwork before I met my masseuse and esthetician. It was very straightforward. Jude ROCKED my massage. I told her I did cross fir and she KNEW EXACTLY which areas to work on without any real direction. I wasn't there for total quite relaxation, I came for soreness from working out and I'm happy with the services I received. She did all sorts of cool things with my limbs that really alleviated the problem areas I didn't even know I had. I'm back doing my workouts and feel way more than equipped to handle the exercises effectively now that my kinks are worked out. Throughout the massage she spoke to the things she was actually doing and to what muscle groups so I am able to relay that for my next massage ( trigger points, see I remembered what she said lol) Her pressure was spot on. I usually like my massages to HURT, but she had nice pressure and I felt like she did as hard as she knew I need for what my problems were. Great massage over all. It was so complicated to book an appointment! I had to spent about half an hour to talk to a desk person and after that to fill the application online because they asked me for my credit card number through the phone. I never heard about that practice before! How can I give to someone my credit card number through the phone? So I had to go to their website to book online massage for the next week. They called me a few hours before my appointment and told me that the massage therapist with whom I scheduled my session she's unavailable. Just like that! No sorry, no nothing. They waited a whole week to call me a few hours before my appointment to cancel it. But their cancellation policy is very strict. Don't you dare to cancel your session in less then 24 hours prior. They will charge you a full price. But they can cancel your reservation just a few hours prior with no excuse. So rude and disrespectful! read more

Holy heck. Places like this makes me want to come to Idaho more than once a year. I came here to visit a friend who had move here a few years back and we wanted to do a therapeutic weekend. So we did our hike in nature to a hot spring and then we came here for a spa day. I did the 50 min facial followed by a 50 min deep tissue massage. Let me tell you that combination was excellent. What was great is that first time users get the wellness plan prices so don't even think twice. It's affordable and worth every penny. They have you fill out this paperwork and it's basically asking you what you want. I had Ciara as my aesthetician and she was very knowledgeable with the products she was using. She did a custom facial. She asked me about my facial needs and she did things based off what I said. I also put blackhead removal on my paperwork and boy did she extracted. Gross but well needed!! My friend didn't get an extraction but she got a peel. So it shows that they do care about your needs. Thanks Ciara. You da bomb. Then there was Michelle. Holy heck. She kicked my ass. Deep tissue means deep tissues. She was working on every sore spot. She listens if you want an all over but if you tell her where you are hurting. She digs deep. It hurts so good! I also added on the aromatherapy which added this icy hot kind of lotion for my massage. I highly recommend Michelle if you are looking to get some knots to be worked out. She also pointed out to be that my spine was very defense in my mid back and gave me some solutions to take care of it. When I come back i definitely want to try everything on that list. Wow! I am blown away with this spa! This was my first time having a massage and I went in nervous that I wouldn't be able to handle the pain. The spa themselves were phenomenal with communicating, even going so far as to call to confirm our appointment a week before and ask if we had any special request or areas of our bodies that we wanted more attention. My boyfriend said Irving was amazing and gave him the correct amount of pressure for his deep massage (something my man is always worried about when receiving a massage). Jude was my masseuse and was so kind and communicative with me and my comfort. Since this was my first time, she wanted me to get used to receiving a massage and gave me an idea of different levels of pressure. Jude was so sweet and kind to this nervous wreck! Another fantastic massage! This time around I had Micaela and she was great...massage was fluid with the right amount of pressure where I needed it. I love that they have the massage tables warmed up ahead of time so crawling into the beds is like stepping onto a cloud! Truly one of the best feelings. I highly recommend the RELAX aromatherapy it added a whole other level to the massage. I noticed they just added eyelash extension services! I just got a refill on mine before I left San Diego but next year when I'm back in Boise I plan to give it a try! As a former spa owner I'm a harsh critic of spas generally. This is a great little spa tucked into a strip mall at 17th and State. They do massage and cupping primarily, no esthetics or hair. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and try very hard to please. The space is clean, modern and well designed so you kind of forget you are in a strip mall the minute you walk in. It truly is an oasis. The massage therapists range from somewhat new to very skilled. The owner and the therapists themselves work very hard to place you with the right person to get the massage you want. I'm a big fan of deep tissue massage and both people I've had were very good at giving a deep tissue massage. My only feedback is that they need to stay with knots and problem areas a little longer until they resolve. The house made bath salts are a real treat, my girlfriend bought some and I'm generally not a fan but these really are exceptional. They have a wonderful membership program that gives significant discounts and if you plan on getting at least one massage a month I'd recommend it. Don't be put off when they offer it, if you loved your massage, hear them out, it is definitely of value. This really is a great spa and the service is top notch, you'll be very happy you chose Organic Origins. read more

Their hours of operation are accommodating to most work schedules (into the evening), have fast/friendly service and a I received a spectacularly smooth massage! Facility location: it is tucked away a little bit in a shopping center. However there is ample parking. I highly recommend and would choose this facility over others as it is just SO simply organized and presented. read more

While this spa has a medical massage option, I can't recommend it for that. Maybe it works for those coming in for a massage just for relaxation purposes, but going in with a medical problem and the tone and attitude received was just not in line with expectations. They gave me paperwork to fill out when I arrived and pointed to a dimly lit room to fill it out. Let her know sitting was a problem and that I would just stand at the front desk to do the paperwork where there was more light. She made a joke about it being a lot like having homework in school. While there a guy came in to buy a gift certificate for his spouse and she told him to just put his beautiful card in there pointing to the machine. She just came off as very fake and insincere and like everything was a joke. When my massage therapist came and got me her first comment was that she was going to ask some questions to ensure I picked the right massage. So early introductions to both were that I'm a child and not bright enough to know if I need a medical massage or something else. Then first thing on the paperwork I had circled was my neck and wrote "Avoid pls" and she stuck the paper out and just said I can't read this - and I'm supposed to feel comfortable with her ability to understand my medical issues. I understand that many people come here just for relaxation, and maybe if that was the case it would be a different experience, but if someone books a medical massage you'd think there would be a bit of a change in tone and procedure understanding that someone is coming in in pain, not for pampering and maybe take things a bit more seriously. read more

My massage therapist, Rachel, is honestly one of the best I have ever been to (and I've been to a lot of them). Their array of shower products and lotions are very soothing and the make your own bath salts are fun. My initial massage at Organic Origins was lackluster. At 8 months pregnant I was hoping for a tailored experience to help me relax while carrying a basketball. Instead, I rolled from side to side and left feeling undwhelmed. When I let the front desk know that my massage was not what I'd hoped for, they immediately sprang into action. I was offered a new massage therapist and a future, complimentary massage with the proper bolsters, etc. to accommodate my bump. I returned for the second massage and was blown away. The massage therapist used proper bolsters and table adjustments to make the 80-minute experience safe and comfortable for me and the babe. I left feeling energized and relaxed all at the same time. I love this place! Finally, an elegant, CLASSY affordable spa in Boise. I've been here twice in one week! The first time was for an 80 minute hand and foot massage with a woman named Rachel. She was amazing! I was in and out of sleep the whole time. Then I came back for a full body massage with Michelle. Holy baby Jesus. I've gotten massages at some of the most famous spas in NY and LA. These girls are blowing all those joints out of the water. The place smells wonderful! It's got a really great vibe. The girls that work there are very nice. They also have a create-your-own bath salt station. I was informed that you actually absorb minerals better through your skin than orally. And since I suffer from chronic low energy and occasional headaches- they set me up with the right salt/essential oils combo to take home. They have fancy salts like Himalayan and organic French and fancy oils like peppermint and bergamot- they smell aaaaaamazing!
