It opened up in the summer of 2018 and is definitely CLEAN. It has a fake grass area about 75 feet long and the park itself easily stretches 200 feet long, which is mainly gravel. There are actually barrels here to throw away your poo and there is running water both in the big dog park along with the smaller dog area. Some people will leave behind balls but definitely bring a toy if your dog tends to play well with others when they have them. Oh and you also don't need to bring your own doggie bags if you don't want to since they are provided. I'm not sure what more you could ask for. Almost everything you would ever need is provided for you and it has ample parking. It was the perfect addition to Burlington, bring your pupper down for a little play time!

We moved to another spot, and the dog came over to our dog again and began the same behavior, pushing her underwater. The dog owner came up to us saying that her dog plays that way and without apology, observed her dog aggressively biting our dog's neck, drowning her again; we got out of there. Cool dog park, unfortunate dog owner. I informed her that she can't have an aggressive dog there, and she couldn't believe it. I urge the dog park to implement some sort of authority to notify these people that they can't have their aggressive dogs there.

There are two spots, one for smaller which is on the upper side, and one that is for bigger dogs (25 lbs and up). We have a smaller dog so we went to that area first, but there weren't any dogs up there. The smaller dogs were with the big dogs in that area so we went down there and it was fine. Dogs were well behaved.

During the summer, it's awesome because there is a doggy water fountain for all the pooches to enjoy. Since it is fenced in, it's a great way for FloJo to sprint around, chase, and be chased without having to worry about running off somewhere where she shouldn't go... Parking around the area is definitely a little tough and there is no real crosswalk to get to the park, so I would definitely wear sneakers. Overall, as long as you bring waste bags and water for yourself, it's definitely a great place to be. Parts of the park are shaded, which is wonderful on hot summer days. There aren't any benches for humans, so like other Yelpers have mentioned ... be prepared to stand. Most of the other doggy owners are nice and you'll surely make new friends. Don't be embarrassed if your dog has their own Instagram, Twitter, and/or Tindr (say what?!) account because most of the other humans will admit their dogs have one, too. I typically bring a tennis ball or two with me to toss around. Flower shares her toys well, but if your dog doesn't, I wouldn't bring anything because all the other dogs just want to play. Don't bring any nice toys because they will be destroyed in minutes. Tennis balls are the majority favorite! Sidenote: I will admit that I come to the park after dark on weeknights. The area around the park and Castle Island is heavily patrolled by Boston Police and the Staties. If you feel uncomfortable walking back to your car, just ask one of the police officers to follow you back to your car and they will certainly help you out.
