I've banked with WestConsin since basically coming out of the womb. Since then, there have been…read moregood times, great times, and times when I want to pull my hair out. I'll start off with what they do right: -Free checking. There are no fees for the account outright (disclaimer: take a look at that fee schedule in full as there are some nuisance fees for e-mailing statements et al) -Loans: if you find yourself in need of a loan, they're on it. Same day or next day and that loan is closed. I got my first car loan here approved in no time. -Savings/Certificate Rates: Usually much higher than local banks. Worth shopping. What they do not so right: -They aren't very customer-centric: need to actually sit with someone? Good luck. They abolished appointments with bankers, yet will allow other bankers from other offices to schedule appointments for customers. Kind of a mess if you need to do something technical like work with a Health Savings Account or IRA. -They're not always sure of what they're doing on certain things: I withdrew from an IRA (Suze Orman would beat me down right now, I know) and withheld money for state. Well, lets just say I'm filing an additional state tax return for Wisconsin now because a lack of knowledge or care (the rep did seem pretty hesitant to help me in the first place and very concerned on getting ready to leave for the day). This office left a sour taste in my mouth because of my transaction there.

I have always made my payment on time if not early and just paid off a big loan to them. now asked for a new loan later and was turned down. I would think Loyalty and have business with them would matter but to them they don't give a shit about the people and for that I am taking all my money and loan elsewhere and letting everyone know from this point on you would be a fool to do business with RCU. Just so disappointed.

Tried calling about opening a business account. Called at 9 AM..all i have received is the same…read morerecording for over 30 minutes...Still nobody has picked up or called back. If this is how they run their business i will select another bank.
